  • We introduce a new method of time-division visible light communication (VLC) using LED lamp light for the generation of synchronizing pulses. The LED lamp, driven by an AC 220-V power line, radiates light that has a 120-Hz frequency component. The pulse generator in each VLC system receives the LED lamp light and generates the synchronizing pulses that are required for time-division transmission of multiple VLC channels. The pulse period is subdivided into several time slots for VLC channels. In experiments, 120-Hz synchronizing pulses were generated using LED lamp light, and three VLC channels were transmitted independently without interfering with each other in a condition where the VLC signals overlapped in space. This configuration is useful in constructing multiple wireless sensor networks that are safe and without interference in locations where LED lamps are used for illumination.

  • In this study, natural rubber latex foam was prepared in order to replace commercialized polyurethane foams as a car seat material. Physical properties of the latex foam were investigated and the light stability was improved. The latex foam was mixed in an aqueous solution state, and the degree of foaming and the accelerator ratios were appropriately controlled. Tensile properties, hysteresis and dynamic mechanical properties of the latex foam were measured to compare with those of polyurethane foams. UV light absorbers and radical scavengers were added for improving light stability of the latex foam. Xenon lamp test was conducted to investigate the effects of the reagents on light stability. Our results revealed that the prepared latex foam including a light absorber with an antioxidant showed excellent light stable performances.

  • It establishes the nonlinear optics material recently on solid-state laser output side and from the infrared ray until is early has in the ultraviolet rays and the wavelength of broadband there makes be a possibility of getting the laser light which and in processing and measuring field it is widely used. Consequently, it used the pulse reiteration law from origination and nine as the fundamental wave direct plan it produced. intense it affixed the nonlinear optics material (KTP) in pulsed light and it got the green light. When inflicting a same energy in respectively reiteration mesh, intense interrelation of pulse light output and green light output between. It analyzed the conversion ratio which it follows in the mesh.

  • Possible methods of protection of non cellulosic fibers, particularly nylon filament yarn, from the damaging effects of light are discussed. Manganese acetate, cupricacetate, G1-06-196 and sodium phosphate are used as a light stabilizer for nylon filament yarn. The light stability of filament containing different weight of TiO$_2$ is increased as the following order: Bright>Semi-Dull>Full-Dull The protection effect against light according to the present of the light stabilizer in filament increased in the following order: Manganese acetate> Cupric acid> G1-06-196> Sodium phosphate Manganese acetate is shown to be the most effecting salt for protecting nylon against light. 15 ppm of the salt is shown to be effective enough for protecting nylon filament yarn against light.

  • Light rail transit system has many characteristics of better accessibility, frequency service, low construction cost, reduced air pollution and medium-capacity public transport etc. Light rail transit system as a urban transportation system has been growing worldwide since the late 20th century. More than 300 cities around the world have light railway systems. Many medium-size cities in domestic site is planning the construction of light railway. This paper describes the development strategies for the light rail transit industry.

  • Ink-jet printed (IJP) self-aligned (SA) organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and its application to light emitting seal have investigated. Ink-jet printing of light emitting material is carried out onto transparent anode covered with insulating material. Laminated light emitting seal with SA IJP OLED without photo - lithographic process and any vacuum process, noncontact type electromagnetic power supply without electric power supply line, and light emitting tag with network type RF communication terminal by controlling display information were demonstrated.

  • We describe a 32" liquid-crystal display (LCD) with multi-touch sensing capability by integrating IR detector arrays onto the LED backlight plate. A transparent light guide is placed in front of the display screen, with IR LEDs disposed at its edges and emitting IR light into the light guide, the light is trapped by total internal reflection within the light guide to be as touch-sensing light. A physical contact with the acrylic plate surface will stimulate some trapped light to be escaped from the light guide and pass through LCD panel to be detected by the IR detectors. The touch-sensing LCD with this configuration can locate simultaneous multiple touche points on the touchable surface.

  • In this study, we applied edge-pulse modulation to prevent the flicker of light-emitting diode (LED) light in a visible light identification system. In the visible light transmitter, positive pulses were transmitted at the edges of the low-to-high transition points, and negative pulses were transmitted at the edges of the high-to-low transition points of the non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data waveforms. In the visible light receiver, the NRZ waveforms were regenerated by making low-to-high and high-to-low transitions at the point of the positive and negative pulses, respectively. This method has two advantages. First, it ensures that the LED light is flicker-free because the average optical power of the LED was kept constant during data transmission in the transmitter. Second, the 120 Hz optical noise from the adjacent lighting lamps was easily cut off using a simple RC-high pass filter in the receiver.

  • Industry of street lighting systems are growing rapidly and going to complexwith rapid growth of industry and cities. To control and maintain complex street lighting system more economically, various street light control systems are developed. Nevertheless most of developed systems have some drawbacks. So we are going to develop new light control system which can overcome old systems drawbacks. We surveyed various street light control systems and analyzed its characteristics. Through these efforts, we found that common drawbacks of most light control systems are uneasiness of handling and difficulty of maintenance. To reduce uneasiness of handling and difficulty of maintenance in operating light control system, we designed new street light control system by using Zigbee communication technique. In this thesis, we describe on the H/W design of new street light control system designed by using Zigbee communication protocol.
