  • In this study, slope stability analysis of LCRS(Leachate Collection Removel System) in waste landfill was peformed by large scale field test. Geocomat is new type of geocomposite product. Gecomat is a sort of Geocomposite product. It is composed of nonwoven geotextiles, woven geotextile, and geonet. Large scale field tests were performed on the slope of different two LCRSsections with static loading condition. One is LCRS section witch consist of GCL, HDPE and Geocomat, another is GCL, HDPE, and woven type geocomposite. The behavior of geosynthetics lined slope was monitored by incorporating instrumentation including vertical soil pressure meter, settlement plate, strain gauges, potential meter, displacement pin.. Based on the field monitoring, the Geocomat LCRS section is less sliding than the conventional geocomposite LCRS section.

  • Many countless services form using the Internet technology of things, in order to provide a variety of services in the current also many institutions, have created a new technology and protocols. In this paper, we design the resource service model for the efficient service provided by the system for controlling access to the Internet services of the things, to implement. The resources of the service that the user tries to access modeled using LCRS (Left Child-Right Sibling) tree, by utilizing the service token resource, it is possible to perform access control to services.

  • Internet of Things includes the whole process of collected information generated from a variety of objects, as well as analyzing and sharing it, and providing useful information services to people. This study seeks ways to improve security and safety in the areas of service security technology, ID management technology and service access control, all of which take place in the IoT environment. We have implemented the services that can design and issue C&C (Certificate and Capability) service token authentication, which is based on a public key, to improve the service security. In addition, we suggest LCRS (Left Child-Right Sibling) resource model management for the efficient control of resources when generating the resource services from the data collected from node devices. We also implemented an IoT services platform to manage URL security of the resource services and perform access control for services.

  • Microdeletions of chromosome 22q11.2 are one of the most common microdeletions occurring in humans, and is known to be associated with a wide range of highly variable features. These deletions occur within a cluster of low copy repeats (LCRs) in 22q11.2, referred to as LCR22 A-H. DiGeorge (DGS)/velocardiofacial syndrome is the most prevalent form of a 22q11.2 deletions, caused by mainly proximal deletions between LCR22 A and D. As deletions of distal portion to the DGS deleted regions has been extensively studied, the recurrent distal 22q11.2 microdeletions distinct from DGS has been suggested as several clinical entities according to the various in size and position of the deletions on LCRs. We report a case of long-term follow-up of a female diagnosed with a 22q11.2 distal deletion syndrome, identified a deletion of 1.9 Mb at 22q11.21q11.23 (chr22: 21,798,906-23,653,963) using single nucleotide polymorphism array. This region was categorized as distal deletion type of 22q11.2, involving LCR22 D-F. She was born as a preterm, low birth weight to healthy non-consanguineous Korean parents. She showed developmental delay, growth retardation, dysmorphic facial features, and mild skeletal deformities. The patient underwent a growth hormone administration due to growth impairment without catch-up growth. While a height gain was noted, she had become overweight and was subsequently diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Our case could help broaden the genetic and clinical spectrum of 22q11.2 distal deletions.

  • In this article, the role of spans number and length in fire-resistance ratings (FRRs) of fireproofed steel frames are investigated. First, over a span-lengthening scenario, two one- and three-bay frames under the ISO834 fire are examined. It is shown that the FRRs of the frames rely highly on the changes made on their span length. Second, a building designed for three spans number of three, four, and five under natural fire is investigated. The beams are designed for two load-capacity-ratios (LCRs) of optimum and ultimate. The fire curves are determined through a probabilistic-based approach. It is shown that the structural vulnerability vastly increases while the number of spans decreases. The results show that for an optimum LCR, while the five-span frame can meet the required FRR in 87% of the fire scenarios, the four- and three-span frames can meet the required FRR in only 56%, and 50% of the fire scenarios, respectively. For an ultimate LCR, the five-, four- and three-span frames can meet the required FRR in 81%, 50%, and 37.5% of the fire scenarios, respectively. Functional solutions are then proposed to resolve the insufficiencies in the results and to rectify the application of the standard-based FRRs in the cases studied. The study here highlights how employing current standard-based FRRs can endanger structural safety if they are not connected to structural characteristics; a crucial hint specifically for the structural engineering community who may be not well familiar with the fundamentals of performance-based approaches.

  • Purpose To clarify (phospho-) glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK3) isoform variants in the germline and soma of human testes and spermatozoa. Materials and Methods GSK3 isoform variants in normospermatogenic and Sertoli cell-only (SCO) testicular biopsies and spermatozoa were examined. In normospermatogenic testes, GSK3α and GSK3β variants 1 and 2 different in low complexity region (LCR) were expressed and their levels were decreased in SCO testes. GSK3β variant 3 was only expressed in SCO testes. GSK3β as well as GSK3α, the dominant isoforms in testes were decreased in SCO testes. In normospermatogenic testes, GSK3β were found in spermatogonia and markedly decreased in meiotic germ cells in which GSK3α was dominant. p-GSK3α/β were marginal in spermatogonia and early spermatocytes. In SCO testes, GSK3α/β immunoreactivity in seminiferous epithelia was weaker than those of normospermatogenic testes whereas p-GSK3α/β(Ser) immunoreactivity was visibly increased in Sertoli cells. GSK3α was dominant in ejaculated spermatozoa in which GSK3α and p-GSK3α(Ser) were found in the head, midpiece, and tail. In acrosome-reacted spermatozoa, GSK3α was found in the equatorial region of head, midpiece, and tail, and p-GSK3α(Ser) was only found in midpiece. During sperm capacitation, p-GSK3α(Ser) was significantly increased together with phosphotyrosine proteins and motility. In human male germ cells, GSK3 isoforms different in LCRs switch from GSK3β to GSK3α during meiotic entry, suggesting the isoform-specific roles of GSK3α and GSK3β in meiosis and stemness or proliferation of spermatogonia, respectively. In dormant Sertoli cells of SCO testes kinase activity of GSK3 might be downregulated via inhibitory phosphorylation. In spermatozoa, inhibitory phosphorylation of GSK3α might be coupled with activation of motility during capacitation.
