상용주파의 LC공진회로를 이용한 입력전류파형 개선 (Input Current Waveform Improvenment using LC Resonant Circuit in Commercial Frequency)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 사용되어지는 배전압 단상 정류회로에 LC 공진회로를 첨가하여, 고조파의 성분을 저감시키는 고역률 단상 정류회로를 제안하였다. 제안한 회로는 다이오드 브리지에 병렬로 커패시터를 접속하고, 입력에 인덕터L을 추가하여 접속시키므로써 상용주파수에서 LC 공진현상을 이용하여, 수동소자만으로 입력전류를 정현파화한다. 그리고 고조파 제어 규제값의 여유도 만족시킨다. 이 모든 사항에 대해 실험과 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교, 분석을 통하여 그 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • 최근에, 전원 공급 장치에 있어서 파워의 품질에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. IEC 61000-3-2 규격은 조명을 위한 AC/DC 전원 공급 장치에 대하여 역률(PF)과 전체 파형 왜곡률(THD)에 대한 규격을 만족하도록 요구하고 있다. 또 출력단의 전류 변화에 의해 발광체 광량이 바뀜에 따라 발생되는 플리커 현상에 대해 유럽권 선진국가는 ripple rate의 기준을 15~30%로 설정해 규제하고 있다. 따라서 국내에서도 기준을 마련하고 규제를 추진 중에 있다. 그래서 본 논문은 PFC 규격을 만족하고, 회로 1차, 2차 간 절연 기능을 가지기 위해 Flyback 컨버터를 적용하며, LED 전류의 저주파 리플을 저감하기 위해 Flyback, Coupled Inductor, LC 병렬 공진 필터, LLC 공진 필터, Cuk을 이용한 각각의 LED 구동회로를 PSIM을 통해 시뮬레이션 함으로써 각각의 방식들을 비교하였으며, 출력측 리플 저감을 위해 1차측에 Coupled Inductor와 2차측에 LC 공진을 적용한 Coupled LC 공진 회로를 제안하였으며, Coupled LC 공진 방식은 출력 커패시터가 78uF으로 작으며, 출력 리플은 전압 2.38V, 전류 0.05A로 기존의 방식보다 22%의 출력 리플 저감을 확인 하였다.

  • Generally, stray capacitance is unnecessary element of designing circuit, because it can not be predicted by a designer. But we propose LC Resonant Circuit using stray capacitance of transformer. This method proposes miniaturization of circuit, because LC Resonant Circuit can be make simply to using stray capacitance instead of capacitor and size of transformer is reduced. Finally, we research aspect of dielectric heating by change of frequency and output voltage using developed converter.

  • In this paper, bi-directional DC/DC converter using a LC series resonant converter is proposed. A proposed converter is consisted by adding LC series resonant tank into a conventional bi-directional DC/DC converter and performs soft-switching at both boost and buck mode. A LC series resonance occurs in whole operation mode and switching point is determined by specific condition. Through the theoretical analysis and simulation results, operation modes and characteristics of the proposed topology is verified.

  • 본 논문은 주파수 변조 기법을 도입하여 메탈 핼라이드 램프의 음향공명 현상을 제거한 수동 PFC 구조의 전자식 안정기를 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안하는 안정기는 EMI 필터, 수동 PFC 회로, 풀 브리지 인버터 및 LC 공진 타입의 점화기, 그리고 음향공명 현상을 제거하기 위한 회로로 구성되었다. 주파수 변조 기법의 도입으로 단일 주파수 구동시 문제점이였던 램프의 수명 경과에 따른 음향공명 대역이 변화와 동일한 크기의 방전관이라도 램프 제조 사마다 아크 튜브 내부에 봉입되는 물질과 압력차에 의한 음향공명 대역의 차이를 해결하였다. 개발된 prototype 1[kW] 메탈 핼라이드 램프용 전자식 안정기의 광변환 효율, 입력 PF, 입력 전류의 THD, 그리고 전력 변환 효율을 측정함으로써 성능을 입증하였다.

  • For small capacity rectifier circuits such as these for consumer electronics and appliances. capacitor input type rectifier circuits are generally used Consequently. various harmonics generated within the power system become a serious Problem. Various studies of this effect have been presented previously. However. most of these employ switching devices, such as FETs and the like. The absence of switching devices makes systems more tolerant to over -load, and brings low radio noise benefits. We propose a power factor correction scheme using a LC resonant in commercial frequency without switching devices. In this method. It makes a sinusoidal wave by widening conduction period using the current resonance in commercial frequency. Hence, the harmonic characteristics can be significantly improved. where the lower order harmonics. such as the fifth and seventh orders are much reduced. The result are confirmed by the theoretical and expermental implementations.

Super-giant Magneto-Impedance Effect of a LC-resonator Using a Glass-Coated Amorphous Microwire

  • A new discovery of the super-giant magneto-impedance (SGMI) effect was found out in a LC-resonator consisted of a glass-coated amorphous $CO_{83.2}B_{3.3}Si_{5.9}Mn_{7.6}$ microwire. The measurement was carried out at high frequency range from 100 MHz up to 1 GHz of an ac-current flowing along the wire and at varying axial dcmagnetic field in its range of $\pm$120 Oe. The wires, about 16${\mu}m$ in diameter, were fabricated by a glass-coated melt spinning technique. The shape of the impedance curves plotted vs. a dc-field is changing dramatically with the frequency. The phase angle was also strongly dependent on this field. The external dc-magnetic field changes the circumferential permeability as well as the penetration depth, both in turn change the impedance of the sample. The drastic increments of SGMI at high frequency can be understood in terms of the LC-resonance phenomena. The sudden change of the phase angle, as large as $180^{\circ}$ evidenced the occurrence of the resonance at a given intensity of the external dc-field. The maximum ratio of SGMI reached in the experiment by precise tuning frequency equals 450,000% at the frequency of around 551.9075 MHz.

  • This paper proposes a new ballast that is ignited by internal LC resonance of buck converter. In order to cancel the steady state current ripple, the proposed ballast utilizes the coupled inductor filter which minimizes the size and weight of the ballast. The operation mode of the proposed ballast is analyzed and the performance of the new ballast is verified by the experimental results from a HOW prototype ballast for metal halide discharge (MHD) lamp.

A New Sustain Driving Method for AC PDP : Charge-Controlled Driving Method

  • A new sustain driving method for the AC PDP is presented. In this driving method, the voltage source is connected to a storage capacitor, this storage capacitor charges an intermediate capacitor through LC resonance, and the panel is charged from the intermediate capacitor indirectly. In this way, the current flowing into the AC PDP when the sustain discharge occurs is reduced because the current is indirectly supplied from a capacitor, a limited source of charge. Thus, the input power to the output luminance efficiency is improved. Since the voltage supplied to the storage capacitor is doubled through LC resonance, this method call drive an AC PDP with a voltage source of about half of the voltage necessary in the conventional driving methods. The experiments showed that this charge-controlled driving method could drive ail AC PDP with a voltage source of as low as 107V. Using a panel of the conventional structure, luminous efficiency of 1.28 lm/W was achieved.
