성·연령별 중·고령 노동자의 취업 양극화 분석 (An Analysis of the Polarization of the Middle-aged and Old Worker's Employment by Age and Gender)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 외환위기 직후 경기 침체기와 경기회복기에 따른 성·연령별 중·고령자 취업률의 변동, 그러한 변동의 원인이 무엇인지, 그리고 중·고령자의 취업에 미치는 결정요인들이 성과 연령별에 따라 차이가 나는지를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국노동연구원의 1차부터 7차까지의 노동패널조사 자료를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 경기침체기에 비해 경기회복기에 남녀 모두 모든 연령에서 취업률이 상승하였고 또 연령이 올라감에 따라 남녀 취업률 격차가 감소하는 것을 발견했다. 가정한 바와 같이, 중·고령자의 취업에 미치는 결정요인들은 성과 연령별에 따라 차이가 났다. 예를 들어, 배우자 존재는 남성 취업률에 정적 영향을 여성 취업률에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 한편, 경제회복기의 취업률 증가에는 경제적 어려움으로 인한 취업자 수의 증가보다 경제적 독립성을 중시하는 개인주의 이데올로기로 인한 취업자 수의 증가가 더 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 외환위기 이후 양극화가 심화되는 상황에서, 경기회복기에 평균 근로소득의 급상승과 경기침체기보다 경기회복기에 개인의 취업이 더 어려워졌다는 사실은 2001년 이후 중·고령 노동자 취업의 양극화가 나타났다는 것을 의미한다. 즉, 빈민 혹은 하층의 중·고령 노동자들은 취업하기가 더 어려워진 반면, 중류층 이상(특히 고소득)의 노동자들은 이전보다 더 늦은 연령까지 취업을 하는 추세가 나타났다. 이러한 중·고령 노동자 취업의 양극화는 남성보다 여성에서 더 분명하게 나타났다.

  • For the preparation of KTX operation and electrifying the conventional line, many accidental fatalities were occurred in recent year. In order to improve track worker safety as low as possible, risk assessments are carried out in this study. As an input of risk assessment 5-year accident data were analyzed into frequency and fatality. As a result risk of track worker based on equivalent fatality is derived.

  • In many countries safety management on track worker have been carried out alter serious accidents and drastic safety improvement have been achieved as a result of safety management. In order to improve track worker safety in Korea, recent 5-year accident data were analysed and other countries' safety management systems were reviewed. As an result of this study 5-basic requirements for the safety improvement on track worker are derived: education, certification, clear responsibility definition, work planning and upgrade of train warning system.

일부 PVC 수지 제조 및 가공 근로자의 염화비닐 폭로 평가와 대책에 관한 조사 연구 (A Study on the Control and Exposure Assessment to Vinyl Chloride in the Factory Processing and Producing PVC Resin)

  • This study was carried out to assess worker exposure to vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and to present control measures in the factories processing and producing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. The conclusion remarks are as follows. Only two personal samples in the factory ("E") processing polyvinyl chloride resin were analysed to be 27.6 ppm and 12.6 ppm, respectively. But, these concentration exceed 1 ppm, Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL) of OSHA. So, worker's exposure to VCM at "E" factory should be reevaluated. In "A", "B" and "C" factory producing polyvinyl chloride resin, the average worker's exposures to VCM were 0.12 ppm, 0.86 ppm and 1.23 ppm, respectivery. Worker exposure to VCM at distillation and dry process was higer than other processes at "A" factory. The average exposure concentration of worker at polymerization process of "B" and "C" factory was 1.23 ppm, and 1.46 ppm respcetively. These concentration exceed 1 ppm, Permissible Exposure Limits of OSHA. Control room of "B" and "C" factory had 0.91 ppm and 0.65 ppm of worker's exposure concentration respectively. "A" factory was evaluated to be "acceptable", but "B" and "C" factories were evaluated to be "not acceptable", by the workplace exposure assessment program of AIHA. Process other than bagging and control room of "A" factory was evaluated to "not acceptable". Immediate correction measures for preventing workers from exposure to VCM should be performed in the factories or process that were evaluated to be "not acceptable". After these control measures are taken, worker exposure to VCM must be reevaluated through personal air monitoring. Control measures presented by this study are complete sealing of connecting pipe lines, flanging, packing, bolting and nutting. Periodic leak test for leak parts is also required. And positive pressure facility should be constructed at control room of "B" and "C" factory. Fresh air through cleaner such as HEPA filter should be supplied to control room. In addition to these control measures, periodic personal monitoring for evaluating worker exposure to VCM should be performed.

경제성장에 있어서 대학교육의 영향 (The Impact of College Education in the Korean Economic Growth)

  • 본 연구는 한국에서의 대학교육이 경제 사회적 수익성 관점에서 얼마나 많은 긍정적인 파급효과를 가지고 있는지를 1971~2017년 기간의 자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. 첫 번째로 대졸자 수와 비대졸자수 비율 즉 비대졸자수 1인당 대졸자 수가 비대졸자의 월평균임금에 미치는 형향을 추정하였다. 추정된 계수는 0.433으로 95%의 신뢰수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 보였다. 이 같은 결과는 대학교육의 비대졸 출신자들의 소득을 증대시켜 간접적으로 국민경제에 긍정적인 파급효과를 미치고 있음을 보여준다고 하겠다. 두 번째로 비대졸자 1인당 자본량이 월평균임금에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 계수는 0.45646으로 약 99%의 신뢰수준에서 통계적 유의성을 보이고 있음에 따라 1%의 비대졸자 1인당 자본량 증가는 비대졸자 1인당 월평균임금은 약 0.45646% 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 선행연구와 유사하게 지난 40여 년간 한국에서의 대학교육은 국민경제에 긍정적인 파급효과를 준 것으로 보여진다. 끝으로 또 다른 파급효과를 추정하기 위하여 대졸 1인당 특허등록수를 독립변수로 추가하였으나 한 기간 외는 통계적으로 유의성이 증명되지 못하였다.

  • This study was conducted to develop a vehicle, leading or following a worker at a certain distance to assist laborious transporting works in greenhouses. A prototype vehicle was tested in the practical field conditions using a developed control algorithm. Results of this study were summarized as following: 1. The sensing device consisted of infrared sensors was attached to the front of the vehicle and turning following algorithm was developed to make the vehicle turned as it follows a worker simultaneously. 2. The measured average power consumptions were 110W and 89W, equivalent to 5.2-6.4 hrs battery durations, at low speed with and without the maximum payload, respectively. 3. Results of the travel tests showed that the deviations from the center of row spacing were $\pm$100 mm along the ridge and $\pm$85 mm along the hydroponic bed in the greenhouse. Therefore, the worker-following transport vehicle was feasible to travel along the row without collision in the greenhouse.

임도 노선측량 작업의 작업분석 (Work analysis of route survey work on forest-road)

  • This study examined the work time, work posture, and work intensity for the actual measurement step in forest road the design work that was being carried out. The measurement of the forest road was being carried by a team of three workers and a team of four workers. The examination of work time found that the measurement of 1km took about 8 hours for the four-worker team and 12 hours for the three-worker team. The examination of work intensity found that the energy metabolic rates of the three-worker team were lower than four-worker team. Because their energy consumption per minute decreased as their work time and rest time increased. Furthermore, when appropriate rest time was applied according to work time, the energy metabolic rate decreased and the work intensity became lower. The four-worker team was more advantageous from the time and cost aspects of the forest road measurement work. Furthermore, as the rest time was very low compared to the work time, more efficient forest road measurement work would be possible if the work intensity was lowered by considering the rest time when calculating the standard work time.

Smart Safety Belt for High Rise Worker at Industrial Field

  • Safety management agent manages the risk behavior of the worker with the naked eye, but there is a real difficulty for one the agent to manage all the workers. In this paper, IoT device is attached to a harness safety belt that a worker wears to solve this problem, and behavior data is upload to the cloud in real time. We analyze the upload data through the deep learning and analyze the risk behavior of the worker. When the analysis result is judged to be dangerous behavior, we designed and implemented a system that informs the manager through monitoring application. In order to confirm that the risk behavior analysis through the deep learning is normally performed, the data values of 4 behaviors (walking, running, standing and sitting) were collected from IMU sensor for 60 minutes and learned through Tensorflow, Inception model. In order to verify the accuracy of the proposed system, we conducted inference experiments five times for each of the four behaviors, and confirmed the accuracy of the inference result to be 96.0%.

근골격계 질환 예방을 위한 조선용 작업 지원 로봇의 개념 설계 (Conceptual Design of a Work Support Robot for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders in Shipbuilding)

  • During manual work in shipbuilding such as blasting, grinding, and so on, a large force is acted on the body of a worker. As a result, this work induces musculoskeletal disorders of the worker and it also induces severe social problems. To solve this problem, we are developing a work support robot for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in shipbuilding. In this study, a result of conceptual design of this robot is presented. A worker can perform the blasting work with a small force using this robot which can lessen the force acting on the body of the worker.

The Effects of Social Worker's Job Embeddedness on Job Burnout

  • The purpose of tis study is to analyze the effects of job embeddedness on job burnout related with social worker's turnover. This study suggests some implications for decreasing the level of social worker's job burnout. In this study, embeddedness is composed of three sub-variables like fit, links, and sacrifice. Job burnout is also composed of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decrease of personal accomplishment. Thereafter, research model is established, and study hypothesis is tested through the survey. As a result, it showed that the components of job embeddedness have significant effects on the components of job burnout. Based on the result of this empirical analysis, this study suggested some theoretical and political implications.
