대학생들의 컴퓨터 및 인터넷 이용 실태 (Using Status of Computer and Internet in University Students)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the using state of computers and internet in university students. Method. This research conducts a survey of 50 university students. Researcher personally visited lecture room to explain the purpose of research. The questionnaire was made by the researcher and consists of seven questions. Result. In this study, university students of 74% using computer more than one hour per day. The most of purpose of internet use was internet surfing and writing a document. University students of 42% were play games with internet. Conclusion. The continuous tracking is need of computer and internet use and need to be healthy for the use of guidance of university students.

대학생의 건강생활 실천 및 대학보건실 활용 수준에 관한 연구 (Health Behavior and Utilization of University Health Clinics)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to analyze health behavior and utilization of university health clinics by college and university students. Methods: There are 376 colleges and universities in Korea as of May 2007. Of them 243 (69.6%) run health clinics in their campuses. Twenty of them were selected and 1,754 students were surveyed by using self reporting questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed by SPSS ver. 12.0. Results: Out of 1,754 students 56.5% were in good health. Of the subjects 15.6% were cigarette smokers, 30% were non drinkers, 20.8% exercise regularly, 53.7% sleep for seven to eight hours a day, 48% had proper body weight (BMI) 20-25) and 20% had physical examination in the past two years. The scores of health practices were higher in male students than female students (P 0.05). Perception rates of university clinics were higher in female students than male students. (P 0.01). Many students have intention to use the clinics (P 0.01). On health promotion program 35.2% of the subjects used clinics for emergency service, 32.8% participated in drinking control program, 32.8% in smoking cessation program, 20.4% in immunization program and 19.2% in regular health screening program. Conclusions: Comprehensive data for health behavior and need of health promotion services by the students should be collected regularly in order to meet the needs of students and faculty members in higher education institutes. The university authorities should pay more attention on the activities of health clinics in order to promote health of the students.

남녀 대학생의 부모로부터의 심리적 독립이 이성관계에서의 갈등해결전략 및 이성관계만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Psychological Separation from Parents on Conflict Solving Strategies for Dating Relationship and Relationship Satisfaction among Male and Female University Students)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence of university students' psychological separation from their parents on conflict solving strategies for dating relationships and on relationship satisfaction. The participants were 231 university students. The results were as follows. Firstly, male students were more psychologically separated from their mothers than female students. When living with parents, students were more psychologically separated from their fathers than their mothers. Secondly, the more independent students were from psychological conflict with their mothers, the less negative strategies they used in conflicts during dating. The closer female students were with their mothers, the more positive conflict solving strategies they used. Thirdly, the students who were freer from conflict with their mothers experienced higher satisfaction with emotional communication when dating. In conclusion, psychological separation from parents was confirmed to be a variable influencing both the effective use of the conflict solving strategies and dating relationship satisfaction.

충북지역 대학생의 당류 저감 인식 여부에 따른 단맛 인지도, 당류 저감화 인식 및 영양표시 활용에 관한 연구 (Study on the Sweet Taste Perception, Perception of Sugar Reduction, and Utilization of Nutrition Labeling according to the Awareness of the Self-perceived Sugar Intake Reduction of University Students in Chungbuk Area)

  • This study examined the sweet taste perception, perception of sugar reduction, and utilization of nutrition labeling according to the awareness of the self-perceived sugar intake reduction of university students in Chungbuk Area. The subjects (n=419) were divided into two groups: Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (ASIR) group, male=110, female=109; Non Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (NASIR) group, male=115, female=85. The overweight/obesity was significantly higher in the ASIR group than in the NASIR group for both male and female students. The sweet taste perception was significantly lower in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The purchase level of a product with reduced sugar instead of the original products was significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than the NASIR group. Beverage purchases after identifying the sugar content were significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The necessity of nutrition labeling education was significantly higher in the ASIR group both male and female students. Based on these results, the correct perception of sugar reduction and continuous and practical nutrition education of sugar intake reduction need to maintain healthy dietary habits in university students.

물리치료학과 학생들의 임상실습 중 대인관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Interpersonal Relations on Clinical Practice of Physical Therapist Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide information for making positive interpersonal relations by understanding the degree of difficulties of interpersonal relations that physical therapist students may have on clinical practice. The survey results of 175 students who completed clinical practice for the first term of 2003. The survey was conducted through mail or e-mail between July 20 and August 20, 2003. The data were analyzed frequency, percentage, t-test, and one-way ANOVA using the SPSS/PC Ver. 10.0 (${\alpha}=0.05$). The results were as follows; 1. The mean score for the level of points interpersonal relations was 41.06 points in full 80 points. Therefore most students had a little problem on interpersonal relations. 2. More difficulties of interpersonal relations were felt by students in the following order; clinical instructors, patients, other students, and other department staffs in the hospital. 3. Between students and clinical physical therapist in the hospital, most students were satisfied with a instructor's attitude toward there (61.1%). 4. Between students and other department staffs in the hospital, most students were felt convenient when faced with other staffs(61.8%). 5. Between students and patients in the hospital, most students didn't uncomfortable when they made a rapport(69.2%). 6. Between students and other college students, most students were didn't inconvenient when they were practicing together(69.8%). 7. The students with higher marks in major felt more difficulties for forming personal relations with other department staffs in hospital, patient, and other students(p<0.05). 8. The students showed more felt inconveniences over 8 weeks practicing than below 7 weeks itperiods of clinical practice(p<0.05). 9. The number of practice place were significantly difference according to relation of patients, other college students(p<0.05). More less practice place were made difficult of interpersonal relations. The further studies would be made in viewpoints to clinical instructors, patients, students, others department staffs in the hospital so that we could compare our results with theirs.

중학생의 전류에 대한 학습전 개념과 관계 현상 관찰후의 설명 (Middle school students' conceptions related to electric current and their explanation after observation of related phenomena before school instruction)

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate Korean middle school students' conceptions related to electric current, and to analyze their changes in explanations about current after their observations of the related phenomena The subjects of the study were 20 students from one middle school in Seoul The conclusions of the studty are as follows: 1, Korean middle school students have various misconceptions such as current consumption model, sequential model, monopole model, non-various current model, the most students have sequential model' 2. When an evidence is introduced, some students do not perceive the phenomena as the teacher attempts. 3. When an evidence was introduced, after observation of the evidence some of the students who had misconceptions changed their explanatios, which were not always correct explanations, and the others did not change their expanations, which their observations were mostly incorrect.

재한 중국 유학생의 여가만족과 희망이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Leisure Satisfaction and Hope on Korean University Adjustment of Chinese Students)

  • 본 연구는 충남, 서울, 인천의 대학교에 재학하고 있는 재한 중국 유학생 361명을 대상으로 여가만족과 희망이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 자료는 설문조사를 통하여 수집하였고, 조사도구로 여가만족 척도 24문항, 희망 척도 12문항, 대학생활 적응 척도 66문항을 사용하였으며, 자료 분석에 적용된 통계기법은 빈도분석, 평균비교분석, 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계, 상관분석 및 위계적 회귀분석이었다. 첫째, 재한 중국 유학생의 대학생활 적응은 학습과정에 따라 어학연수 집단이 학부와 대학원이상 집단보다 높았으며 체류기간에 따라 6개월 미만 집단이 가장 높았다. 둘째, 재한 중국 유학생의 대학생활 적응과 여가만족, 희망의 주도, 경로사고와는 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 셋째, 재한 중국 유학생의 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 변인은 여가만족과 희망의 주도사고와 경로사고이었으며, 그 중에서 여가만족의 영향력이 가장 높았다.

The Relationship Between Life-Learning Competency and Self-Directed Learning Ability, Problem-Solving Ability, and Academic Achievement of University Students in the Context of Higher Education

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether respondents showed gender differences in life- learning competency, self-directed learning ability, problem-solving ability, and academic achievement and to identify relationships among variables of university students in the context of higher education. To address those goal, the data set was analyzed that nationally collected from Korea Youth Competency Measurement and International Comparative Research III by National Youth Policy Institute in South Korea. 680 samples were used in the study that were 343 males and 337 females of university students. As results, statistically significant difference was showed in the participants' gender. Male university students were higher score than female university students in All variables. Also, learning agility in life-learning competency was strongly related to self-directed learning ability and problem-solving. Thinking skills in life-learning competency was strongly related to academic achievement in university students in higher education. In terms of learning strategy in the context of higher education, some suggestions have been made for university students.

한중 대학생의 주거관에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Housing Viewpoint between Korean and Chinese University Students)

  • Today, our lifestyle and residential culture has been changed have been changed by interchange with various countries in various sides. In order to become an internationally recognized residential environment designer in this environment, we must understand the housing viewpoint of residents in a country first. Therefore, this study was intended to obtain useful material for residential environment design of both countries by comparing the housing viewpoint between Chinese students studying in Korea and Korean students. A questionnaire was conducted on 205 Korean students and 193 Chinese students (Korean race) from Y University in random sampling basis. The result is as follows. First, both Korea and China have a higher ratio of apartments in both current and previous types of house. But, both Korea and China have similar ratios between detached house and apartment for a desired type of house at the time of moving in. Second, Korean and Chinese university students consider and as the most important functions of residence, and Chinese university students consider more functions of residence than Korean students. Third, both Korean and Chinese consider a living room as the most important space among housing spaces, but Chinese consider a private room more importantly than Korean. Fourth, overall satisfaction rate of Korean students for current houses was average, and most Chinese students were generally satisfied with their houses.

Comparative study on body shape satisfaction and body weight control between Korean and Chinese female high school students

  • This study was conducted to compare body shape satisfaction, body image perception, weight control status, and dietary habits of Korean and Chinese female high school students in order to provide information for proper body image perception of adolescents. 221 students in Yongin, a city in Korea, and 227 students in Weihai, a city in China, were surveyed using questionnaires. Body shape satisfaction was significantly higher in Chinese students (P < 0.001) compared to Korean students. 76.2% of Korean students and 72.7% of Chinese students wanted a thinner body shape than their present body shapes. Experiences of weight control, laxative or diuretics uses, eating during weight control, and vomiting after eating were significantly higher in Korean students (P < 0.05-P < 0.001) compared to Chinese students. The score for dietary habits was significantly higher in Chinese students (P < 0.001) compared to Korean students, suggesting a more desirable dietary habit among Chinese students. Students of both countries showed a significantly positive correlation between body shape satisfaction and dietary habits, suggesting that as body shape satisfaction increases, dietary habits become more desirable. In conclusion, Korean female students showed a more distorted body image perception and had more poor dietary habits than Chinese students. Nutritional education for the establishment of normal body weight, proper body image perception, and healthy dietary habits are needed.
