Objectives : The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Korean medical treatments with Improvement of Intestinal Bacillus on prurigo nodularis. Methods : We treated a patient with prurigo nodularis with Korean Medicine and probiotic therapy. After treatment, we measured the change of nodule, itching and Intestinal Bacillus. Results & Conclusions : Symptoms of prurigo nodularis were improved remarkably. Nodule was reduced and itching was removed. Intestinal Bacillus were improved. Thus Korean medical treatments with Improvement of Intestinal Bacillus are effective on prurigo nodularis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to present two case reports on the treatments of psoriasis who has functional gastrointestinal disorder.Methods : We administered herbal medicine to two patients who showed psoriasis with functional gastrointestinal disorder and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI).Results : After the treatment two patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 8.8 to 0.8; patient 2 from 7.0 to 0.2Conclusions : The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis who has functional gastrointestinal disorder.

Objectives : This study is to report 4 cases of the facial palsy sequelae synkinesis treated with Thread-Embedding Acupuncture(TEA) and Jung-An acupuncture(JAA). Methods : 4 patients received Korean medical treatment consists of TEA and JAA. Results : After treatment, relief of facial synkinesis and enhancement of facial symmetry were observed in all patients. Conclusions : This study suggests that TEA and JAA may be effective on facial palsy sequelae synkinesis. Therefore it seems that additional reporting about relevant studies is likely to be required.

Objectives : This study was aimed to evaluate the treatment effect of psoriasis patient using pyretotherapy. Methods : The clinical study was performed using retrospective observational research method. Treatment method was pyretotherapy that optimized core temperature through herbs therapy, food therapy, excercise and life style change. In other aspects, pyretotherapy is skin cure therapy that rise core temperature, down skin temperature and open sweat gland. Results : 1. 40s years showed the most coming of clinic in the distribution of age of psoriasis patient. 2. Board type showed the most number in the classification of psoriasis. 3. Pyretotherapy was very effective results in psoriasis patient treatment. 4. Pyretotherapy showed effects of rising axillary temperature and moving facial high skin temperature toward abdominal portion. Conclusions : The author is able to say that it is possible for pyretotherapy to become new skin therapy for many skin disease, especially psoriasis.

Objective : The purpose of this case study is to report the effectiveness of Sojongyuryang-tang gagambang in respect of spleen dampness on 3 psoriasis patients who had unhealthy dietary habit. Methods : PASI(psoriasis area and severity) score was used to check the prognosis of 3 psoriasis patients, who have been treated with Sojongyuryang-tang gagambang and acupuncture. Results : PASI score decreased as a result of Sojongyuryang-tang gagambang treatment in 3 psoriasis patients. Conclusion : Sojongyuryang-tang gagambang can be effective treatment for the unhealthy diet related psoriasis when diagnosed as spleen dampness.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the case of a bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss patient whose hearing had improved by Korean medical treatment combined with threshold sound. Methods : A woman diagnosed with bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss has treated with Korean medical interventions(acupuncture combined with electromagnetic stimulation and pharmacoacupuncture) and threshold sound conditioning(TSC) for 20 weeks. Pure tone audiometry(PTA) was performed for the evaluation. Results : The average hearing level has improved from mild to normal level. The level of tinnitus has decreased from VAS 10 to VAS 4. Conclusions : We observed an improvement in a bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss patient's hearing and hereby suggest the possibility of Korean medical treatment and TSC's ameliorating effect on sensorineural hearing loss.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of the combination of herbal medicine and western medicine in androgenetic alopecia patients. Methods : This case study was conducted for four androgenetic alopecia patients who have visited Korean medicine clinic. Gagamcheongyoung-tang($Ji{\bar{a}}ji{\check{a}}nq{\bar{i}}ngy{\acute{i}}ng-t{\bar{a}}ng$) was prescribed to all four patients who were already taking finasteride over 1 year. Improvements of patients were evaluated through photographs. Results : As a result of examining photographs, symptoms of alopecia in four cases were improved. Conclusions : Gagamcheongyoung-tang($Ji{\bar{a}}ji{\check{a}}nq\;{\bar{i}}ngy{\acute{i}}ng-t{\bar{a}}ng$) has advantages of treating a androgenetic alopecia patients who are taking finasteride longer than 1 year.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Sunbangpaedok-tang gagambang in the five patients with nummular eczema.Methods: This case study was conducted for five nummular eczema patients who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic. Sihochunggan-tang gagambang Sunbangpaedok-tang gagambang was prescribed to all five patients and evaluated the symptom change through photographs and an assessment method. We used Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) as the assessment method.Results & Conclusions: After the treatment, the grade of VAS was decreased and most symptoms of five patients were improved. As a result of examining VAS scores and photographs, Sihochunggan-Tang gagambang and Sunbangpaedok-tang gagambang can be effective on the nummular eczema in five cases in our study.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Gagamhwanggeum-tang on emotional facial flush. Methods : This case study was done on 3 Facial Flush patients who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic. Gagamhwanggeum-tang was prescribed to all 3 patients and evaluated the symptom change through photographs and questionnaire. Investigator's Global Assessment(IGA) was used to evaluate the objective symptom and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) was used to evaluate the subjective change Results & Conclusion : The IGA and VAS were decreased in 3 patients in our study. Most symptoms of 3 patients were improved. As a result of examining IGA, VAS scores and photographs, Gagamhwanggeum-tang can be effective on emotional facial flush in 3 case in our study.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang in the seven patients with seborrheic dermatitis. Methods : This case study was conducted for seven seborrheic dermatitis patients, who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic from 2013.10.01 to 2017.09.30. All seven patients were treated with Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang and acupucture. During taking medicine, we let them avoid bad food like fatty food and alcohol. We evaluated the symptom change through photographs and used Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) as the assessment method. Results : VAS such as skin severity of symptoms, sleep disorder, pruritus was decreased as a result of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang and acupucture treatment in seven seborrheic dermatitis patients. Conclusions : After the treatment, the grade of VAS was decreased and most symptoms of seven patients were improved. As a result of examining VAS scores and photographs, Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang can be effective on the seborrheic dermatitis in seven cases in our study.
