A Study on the Diversification Trend of Apartment Interior Space Planning (아파트 실내공간의 차별화 경향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the tendency of the current diversified apartment planning. This study was examined by 13 newspapers from January 1th 1995 to 30th 1997. The major findings in this study were summarized as follows: 1. The strategy of major apartment construction co. was diversified into space planning interior image facilities and utilities and outdoor space design. 2. The trend of space planning was diversified into apartment for 3 generation apartment with its own inside gardeen apartment with kitchen facing south multi-story apartment, apartment with round shape room irregular shaped apartment 3. The trend of interior image was diversified into Korean style natural style casual elegantstyle modern style and classical style.

  • This is a study of 43 divorce cases appeared in the Korean courts during 3 years period from Feb. 12, 1996 to Jan. 4, 1999. They were devided into 6 categories. 1) 11 cases were those where divorces were not allowed. 2) 21 cases dealed with the right to ask for alimony. 3) 3 cases dealed with the right to ask for division of property. 4) 2 cases were to decide who will exercise parental rights with respect to children. 5) 1 case was to decide who can meet the children. 6) 5 other cases dealed with other problems associated with divorces.

  • The purpose of this study is to explor the ideas about childrearing represented in the Korean central daily newspapers. The method used for this study is the content analysis and the data are articles of Dong-a ilbo and Cho-seun ilbo from 1920's to 1970's. It is found that the contents of childrearing articles were concerned on childrearing practices conformable with social change for industrial capitalization during twentieth century of Korea. These articles dealt with problems of practices in the pregnancy-delivery, nurturing, teaching, disciplining and interfacing between home and institutional education of school. Especially, these article put great emphasis on preservation of health and hygiene of child, interfacing between child and school education, and meeting martial needs of child. Also they made the issuse of adult-centered manners in the child-rearing.

  • Newsprint is quantitatively the most important printing paper. The demands for its printability are continuously increasing. It is well known that the relationship between the physically tested paper properties and newspaper printability is unsatisfactory. In order to improve the printing quality of Korean newsprint, the printability coefficients such as maximum ink requirement($Y_{max}$), print through were investigated. Kinds of Korean newspapers and three kinds of news printing inks were tested by IGT printability tester. Experiment condition of IGT printability tester was 14 steps between $0.2{\sim}2.8g/m^2$ of ink requirement, printing pressure was .200 N and printing velocity was 1m/sec. The properties of newspaper samples(basis weight, bulk density, roughness, smoothness, porosity, i. e.) were examined in accordance with KS and TAPPI standard testing methods. The result of this study are respected for usefulness printing quality management of Korean newsprint.

Mysticism in the twentieth Century Depcadent Fashion (20세기 패션에 나타난 세기말적 신비주의)

  • This study is focused on 'mysticism' in fashion which is recently marked as one of the cultural phenomenon emerging at the end of the century, First of all the concept of 'mysticism' and 'occultism' are reviewed to define the mysticism in fashion. Mysticism as a cultural phenomenon is also examined in historical and social context. With these theoretical basis articles which were publshed in 1990s from Korean newspapers and magazines which reported cultural phenomenon related to mysticism are analyzed and categorized. Finally these categories are applied to fashion phenomenon and 'mysticimsm in fashion' is analyzed and clearly examined as a fashion trend. As a result mysticism in fashion that has arose as an end of the century phenomenon within the historical and social context could be categorized into five groups such as 'primitive religion' ' Christianity ' 'oriental philosophy' 'universe' and 'magic and witchcraft'.

  • This study aims to review the family life and its changing process in the early twenty’s century. It is explored through the editorial of the Maeil-Shinho during 1910∼1945. It is valuable work to explore of family life in the Maeil-Shinbo newspapers because it was continuously published from 1910 to 1945. The author attempted to study family life in five major such as food and nutrition, clothing, resource management, family, and child care. And of the articles food and nutrition parts ranks the highest order and clothing care was the second highest. In the early nineteenth century, many of articles were about to family life but decreased its amount by 1940. Of the editorials, most articles had dealt with the educational context in order to improve the quality of family life.

The Influence of SNS and Podcasts on the Political Participation of Korean Youth: A Case Study of the Candle Light Rallies and the 2017 Impeachment of the Korean President

  • This study investigates the influence of social network services (SNS) and political podcasts on youth participation in candlelight rallies leading up to the impeachment of the Korean president. It also examines the effect of SNS and podcasts on online participation through SNSs. It was found that engaging in political discussions with friends or parents and news media use, including TV and Internet newspapers, exerted a major positive influence on participation in the rallies. However, SNS had a negative influence, while podcasts did not have a significant effect. On the other hand, SNS and podcasts had a positive influence on online participation. The results of structural equation modeling showed that SNS and podcasts affected SNS participation in the mediation of political discussion and political efficacy.

  • Articles from leading daily newspapers dealing with costumes analyzed here dating back to oughly one year before the I.M.F. system came into place in korea. The values and esthetic consciousness of that period were studied through fashion. The major conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. The values of exhibition conformity and extravagance were emphasized. 2. The beauty of play the beauty of the extraordinary and the beauty of splendour were expressed as the esthetic consciousness 3. Preference of young people toward expensive high-grade and foreign-made brands was excessive Adults have to guide the young not to overconsume. Development of a sounder culture of clothing is needed for the establishment of economic prosperity for the nation.

  • 인터넷의 발달과 인터넷 문화의 보편화로 인하여 사용자들은 폭발적으로 증가하는 다양한 정보를 접할 수 있게 되었으며, 자체 생산하거나 다른 신문사들로부터 생산된 기사들을 단순 유통, 링크를 통하여 정보검색 사이트들뿐만 아니라 각종 포털 사이트, 인터넷신문사들은 많은 다양한 경로로 기사를 제공할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 따라 인터넷산문을 규정하고 법적, 테두리에 넣기 위한 법률이 제정되었으며, 인터넷신문사에 대해 기사의 자체 생산량이라는 요건 검증에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 인터넷신문 자체기사 생산량을 측정하기 위해 필요한 기술들을 조사하고 타당성을 검토하여 이에 적합한 기술을 제시한다. 제시한 방법은 대량의 기사의 비교를 빠른 시간에 수행한 수 있도록 하기 위해 인간의 단어 인지와 관련한 경험적 정보의 반영을 통하여 변형한 편집거리 기반 방법이다. 제시하는 방법의 정확성을 검증하기 위해 실제 소량의 인터넷 신문 기사를 대상으로 실험하였다.

  • This study suggests a new paradigm of fashion merchandising as an environmental change of the fashion industry. The study has the pattern of a literature study and it is analyzed through journals, professional books, fashion magazines, and newspapers. Examined are the environmental changes of the fashion industry, the condition, and problems of the merchandising process that is executed currently, as well as an examination of the concept of fashion merchandising, Concepts and changes for new fashion merchandising strategies are suggested that are helpful for academics and fashion companies. This paper defines the concept of new fashion merchandising as the integrated management activity of planning, development, and selling fashion products to create a profit for the company with the satisfaction of the target customers. This study proposes the pursuance of integrated merchandising, the change of product planning and product development, and the strengthening of store-centered retail merchandising in order to change the direction of fashion merchandising.
