Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate on the Korean and Western medicine clinic quality to use IPA matrix and to establish a Korean medicine service management strategy. Methods : In order to achieve the research purpose, medical consumers who visited 3 Korean and Western medicine clinics were surveyed. frequency analysis, paired t-test were used for the statistical analysis, and the mean of each variable was used for IPA analysis. Results : The major results of analysis are as follows: It was confirmed that the skill and the kindness of the human resources were important in both the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. And it was confirmed the difference of the satisfaction rate and IPA between the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. Especially Medical devices and equipment, Easy booking, reception, payment procedure were different in IPA analysis. Conclusions : We confirmed the similarities and differences between Korean medicine clinics and Western medicine clinics in terms of importance, satisfaction, and IPA. On the basis of these results, Korean Medicine clinic could arrange a management strategy in consideration of consumers' choice attribute.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Gagamsunbangpaedoktang on 30 Chronic Urticaria patients. Methods : Total 30 chronic urticaria patients, who has visited korean medical clinic from 1st July 2014 to 29th February 2016 were analyzed by using Urticaria Activity Socre(UAS). Subanalysis of UAS was done according to disease period. Results & Conclusions : UAS score was improved as a result of Gagamsunbangpaedoktang treatment. Gagamsunbangpaedoktang can be effective treatment for Chronic Urticaria.

This retrospective, multicenter, observational study aimed to evaluate the effects of herbal medicine treatment on liver function in obese patients exhibiting elevated liver enzymes. Conducted from May 2023 to April 2024 at various Korean medicine clinics, the study included 84 patients who underwent herbal treatments for obesity. All participants had at least one liver function test (LFT) showing elevated levels of aspartic amino transferase (AST), alanine amino transferase (ALT), or gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), and a subsequent LFT performed after a minimum of 90 days. The study excluded patients with potential confounding factors such as hepatitis, antibiotic usage, or recent surgeries. The study showed significant reductions in AST, ALT, and GGT levels, with AST and ALT improving to within the normal range and GGT approaching normal levels. Patients also experienced statistically significant reductions in weight and BMI, meeting the minimum clinically important difference threshold. These findings suggest that herbal treatments for obesity are not only safe for patients with obesity-related liver enzyme abnormalities but also effective in improving liver function. This study shows that herbal treatment is effective in the management of obesity-related liver disease and confirms the safety and efficacy of an obesity treatment herbal formula containing ephedra. Larger prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Age-related osteoporotic compression fractures occur frequently in old aged group recently. Percutaneous vertebroplasty has recently been introduced as a therapeutic method for the treatment of pain associated with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture. Percutaneous intravertebral injection of PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) results in marked reduction in pain and morbidity. Among complications during vertebroplasty with PMMA, pulmonary embolism is repotred occasionally but the reports about hypotension are not common. This case is a report of a patient whom significant hypotension occured during percutaneous vertebroplasty.

Objectives : We performed a retrospective study to verify the effects of Chungan-tang and acupuncture in acne patients.Methods : This study included patients with facial acne who visited to six branch of clinics in 2014. They were evaluated by Korean Acne Grading System (KAGS) before and after treatment.Results : The average grade of KAGS was 4.02±1.120 at before treatment and 1.30±0.867 at after treatment. 64 patients were classified as three groups by treatment period and KAGS grade significantly decreased in all groups. Six skin symptoms such as heat, blush, dryness, itch, prick, pain also significantly improved.Conclusions : This results may provide that Korean medical treatments including Chungan-tang and acupuncture have effects on improving acne.
