서울 시내 일부 중년층 남성의 금연 결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Stop Smoking by Some Middle-aged Men in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate determinants of stop smoking. The data on which the analysis was based come from a survey of 355 middle-aged men in Seoul. The data was analyzed using proportion, x²-test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression. The following were the results; 1. Success rate of stop smoking is 19.9% of 229 persons who attempted to quit smoking. 2. As for the number of quit attempts, 33.3% of ex-smokers tried once; 25.4% of current smokers tried twice. 3. As for methods of quit attempts ex-smokers showed higher tendency in using will power and books/guides than current smokers who in using will power alone. 4. For the attitudes on smoking of family, the majority of ex-smokers and current smokers were opposed absolutely. 5. The main opposite to smoking were wives in cases of both ex-smokers and current smokers, but More ex-smokers answered that the main opposite to smoking were others than current smokers. 6. As for the measures of smoking in the office, more ex-smokers answered inviting than current smokers and more current smokers assigned a smoking spot than ex-smokers. 7. Majority of ex-smokers approve of restriction at public spot strongly. 8. As for the attitude about caution on a cigarette case, more ex-smokers insisted than current smokers. 9. There was a relation between the degree of exposure about knowledge and the degree of knowledge. 10. Stepwise Multiple Regression portray that following factors influence stop smoking in order named. (1) attitude on the smoking restriction at public spot, (2) methods of quit attempt, (3) attitude about caution on cigarette case. Even so, it turned out that these factors alone can explain only 20% of self-examination. Therefore study for the other factors ought to be continued. I submit following suggestions ending this study. 1. Continuous study of the other factors affecting stop smoking must be carried on. 2. Since there was a relation the degree of exposure about knowledge and the degree of knowledge, efficient health education is required using campaign and mass media.

약용작물주산지(藥用作物主産地)의 생산실태(生産實態)와 금후대책(今後對策) (Status and Future Measure on Production of Medicinal Crops in the Major Cultivation Area)

  • 주산지(主産地)의 약용작물(藥用作物) 재배(栽培) 및 생산(生産) 실태(實態)와 문제점(問題點)을 파악하기 위하여 전국(全國) 66개소에서 초본류(草本類) 18종(種), 목본류(木本類) 5종(種)의 약초(藥草)를 대상으로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 약용작물(藥用作物) 종자(種子)나 종묘(種苗)를 자가채종(自家採種) 또는 인근(隣近) 농가(農家)에서 구입(購入)하는 농가가 전체의 82%로 그 지방(地方)의 재내종(在來種)이 이용되고 있었다. 2. 1시비실태(施肥實態)는 화학비료(化學肥料)보다 유기질비료(有機質肥料) 시용(施用)이 많았으며 이중 퇴비사용농가 60.7%, 유기물(有機物)을 사용하지 않는 농가도 34.8%로 나타냈다. 한편 화학비료별로는 복합비료(復合肥料) 시용(施用)이 51.5%, 요소단용(尿素單用)이 40.9%였다. 3. 주산단지(主産團地)의 약용작물(藥用作物)중 병충해(炳蟲害)에 강한 작물은 미나리과(科)의 강활(羌活), 당귀(當歸), 방풍(防風), 시호(柴浩)와 독활(獨活), 황정(黃精), 두충(杜沖)이었고 주요해충(主要害蟲)은 응애, 진딧물, 조명나방, 굼댕이, 고자리 파리,거세미 등이고 주요병(主要病)은 흰가루병 갈반병, 잎마름병, 뿌썩음병 등이었다. 4. 작물별(作物別) 지역간(地域間) 재배(栽培), 생산(生産)과 소득(所得)은 파종기(播種期), 식재(植栽)거리, 수확년수(收穫年數), 판매방법(販賣方法)에 파라 차이(差異)가 크게 나타났으며 10a당(當) 조수익(祖收益)은 적은 농가 312천원에 비해 많은 농가는 11.3배(倍)의 소득(所得)을 보였다.

모유수유 실태에 관한 조사연구 -경상북도성주군을 중심으로- (Study on the Actual State of Breast-feeding - Centering Sungju-gun, Kyongbuk -)

  • This study to study and analyze the current state of infancy breast-feeding & practice and related factors and to provide basic data for the effective practice of breast-feeding and breast-feeding percentage improvement. For the object, 474 mothers of the infants who were born between Jan. 1, 1998 and Dec. 31, 1998 were selected, and the survey period & method were from Oct. 15, 1999 through Nov. 14, 1999 (1 month period) and telephone interview, respectively. To examine by month breast-feeding type, the average breast-feeding percentage in 1 month after a child's birth was 42.4%, but after 6 month it decreased to 23.0%. To see breast-feeding percentage by academic background, the breast-feeding of elementary school graduated mothers was 33.3%, which was highest, and it decreased as the academic background of mothers went better (p〈0.01). By employment state, the percentage for the mothers who were not employed was higher (24.6%) than that of those who were employed at the time, which was 8.0% (p〈0.001). There was no meaningful difference found in breast-feeding percentage by infant mothers age, delivery place, infant sex, child order in family, weight at the time of birth. To examine breast-feeding percentage by delivery method, natural delivery was 27.0% which was higher than 13.1% of Caesarean section (p〈0.01), and by breast-feeding experience before leaving the hospital, 35.6% of those who have breast-fed were breast-feeding while it was 16.4% for those who never did it while in the hospital (p〈0.001). After conducting logistics multi return analysis having breast-feeding percentage as a variable at the time of 6 months after babys birth, I found that infant mothers employment state, delivery method, and breast-feeding experience before leaving the hospital become meaningful variables. As unemployed mothers (p〈0.05), as chose natural delivery (p〈0.05), as experienced breast-feeding before leaving the hospital (p〈0.001), there was more tendency to do breast-feeding. Summing the above results, I would like to suggest the following to raise breast-feeding percentage. Firstly, systematic education about the importance and advantages of breast-feeding and correct breast-feeding method should be practised for women. Secondly, vacation before and after childbirth for working women should be practised and the support of systems for working womens breast-feeding such as installation of nursery in work place are needed. Thirdly, continuous publicity and education for natural delivery inducement is necessary, and for the ones who chose Caesarean section, recommendation of breast-feeding is also needed. Fourth, for breast-feeding within fastest time after delivery, rooming-in required and legal and systematic support is also needed. Lastly, in the governmental level, publicity for breast-feeding and breast-feeding recommending programs that promotes 10 rules for successful breast-feeding bringing-up, provided by UNISEF and WHO, are to be provided.

경기 일부지역 초등학생의 채소와 과일 섭취 및 관련 인식, 자아효능감, 영양지식과 식행동 (Intakes and Beliefs of Vegetables and Fruits, Self-Efficacy, Nutrition Knowledge, Eating Behavior of Elementary School Students in Kyunggi Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine vegetable & fruit (V/F) intakes, beliefs and self-efficacy regarding V/F consumption, nutrition knowledge and eating behavior of elementary students. A survey was conducted to the 4th graders (n = 234) at two elementary schools in Guri, Kyunggi-do. About one-fourth of subjects were overweight or obese. Subjects had 4.2 servings of V/F a day, consuming 340.2 g of V/F. Girls consumed significantly more amounts of vegetables than boys (p < 0.05). Girls were more favorable regarding V/F consumption (p < 0.01), and believed more strongly on advantages of having V/F such as “good for skin” constipation prevention (p < 0.001) and cancer prevention (p < 0.05). Boys felt more strongly in disadvantages or barriers of eating V/F, including mother's cooking time constraints (p < 0.01), lack of past experience of eating V/F, and family members' disliking of V/F (p < 0.05). Girls felt more confident in eating V/F (p < 0.05) than boys; they also felt more confident in specific items of "eating fruits/salads instead of cookies/chips for snack" and "eating fruit juice/vegetable juice instead of soda"(p < 0.01). Subjects showed low level of nutrition knowledge, especially in items such as balanced meals, recommended servings of V/F and vitamin deficiency. Compared to boys, girls had more desirable eating behavior such as eating adequate amount of meals (p < 0.001), having a variety of foods, eating fruits daily, and having fatty foods less frequently (p < 0.05). Intakes of Ca and K were quite below the recommended level, while the intakes of protein, Na and vitamin A intake were much above the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) for 9-11 old children. Nutrient intakes expressed as %DRI was higher in girls for vitamin A (p < 0.01), energy and riboflavin (p < 0.05). High V/F consumption group (${\geq}5$ servings of V/F a day) compared to the counterparts showed higher self-efficacy and had better eating behaviors. Nutrition education for children should focus on increasing consumption of V/F, by helping them to increase self-efficacy for eating V/F and to recognize the benefits and reduce the barriers of eating V/F, especially in boys. It is also needed to provide nutrition information for balanced meals or increasing V/F consumption, and help the children to adopt desirable eating behavior.

공중보건분야 치과위생사의 직무교육 인식도 (Awareness of dental hygienists about on-the-job training in public health sector)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental hygienists about on-the-job training in public health sector in an effort to stir up their on-the-job training(OJT) and to facilitate the planning of successful educational programs. A survey was conducted nationwide for two months in October and November 2006, and the answer sheets from 811 dental hygienists were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. 40.7 percent of the dental hygienists investigated never underwent OJT geared toward public officials, which wasn't linked to oral health. 2. As for the experiences of professional oral health education(or OJT) as members of local public dental clinics by service term, 64.9 percent of the dental hygienists who had worked for less than 10 years never received that kind of education, and 70.5 percent of those with a 15-year or more career received that education just once(p<0.05). The dental hygienists who received that education viewed it favorably, as they found that to be conducive to their job performance. In the event of those who didn't receive that education, a lack of chance to do that was the most common reason. 3. In regard to motivation of receiving professional oral health education(or OJT), the largest rate of the dental hygienists who stood at 71.9 percent received that education voluntarily in pursuit of self-development and better job performance. The training programs provided by the oral health division of the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs were excluded in this study. As to educational spending by the dental hygienists or their employers over the past two years, 56.9 percent paid 100 thousand to less than 500 thousand won. 46.6 percent never paid for that, and about 15.5 percent received education at their own expenses. Concerning the form of OJT, lectures were provided to 50.3 percent. 4. The dental hygienists who worked in local public health clinics hoped for more intensive and better education and training related to oral health projects.

직업 유무에 따른 노인의 건강상태, 수면 및 우울의 비교연구 (Comparison of Health Status, Sleep and Depression by the Employment Status in the Elderly)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 직업유무에 따라 노인의 건강상태, 수면 및 우울을 비교하고, 건강상태와 수면이 우울과 관련이 있는지를 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구는 보건복지가족부가 실시한 "2008 노인실태조사"의 자료를 사용하였으며, 총 조사대상자 15,146명 중 직업이 있는 노인 5,204명과 직업이 없는 노인 9,942명이 최종분석에 이용되었다. 연구결과에 따르면 직업 유무에 따라 건강상태, 수면 및 우울에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 직업이 있는 노인의 경우 직업만족도가 우울에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 주관적 건강상태, 현재 질병으로 인한 일상생활의 어려움 정도, 숙면을 취한 일수 순서로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 변수들의 우울에 대한 설명력은 29%로 나타났다. 직업이 없는 노인의 경우 주관적 건강상태가 우울에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 현재 질병으로 인한 일상생활의 어려움 정도, 숙면을 취한 일수, 총 수면 시간 순으로 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 이 변수들의 우울에 대한 설명력은 32%로 나타났다. 그러므로 노인의 건강상태, 수면, 우울을 향상시키기 위한 건강증진 중재는 직업유무에 따른 이러한 차이를 고려하여 계획되고 제공되어야 한다.

대학생들의 정보원에 대한 인식과 이용간의 차이에 대한 분석연구 (Bridging Gaps in College Students' Source Perception and Use)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들의 학업과제수행에 필요한 정보원에 대한 인식 및 선택과 그 이용과 관련하여, 학생들이 (1) 유용하다고 인식하는 정보원과 자주 이용하는 정보원의 차이를 비교하고, (2) 정보원 선택 시 중요하게 생각하는 정보원의 특성과 자주 이용하는 정보원의 특성을 비교, 분석함으로써, 학생들의 정보원에 대한 인식과 실제 이용행동간의 차이를 파악하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 미국 대학생 총 251명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 연구결과에 따르면, 학생들이 가장 빈번히 이용하는 정보원이자 가장 유용한 정보원은 웹자원으로 밝혀졌다. 온라인DB/저널은 가장 빈번히 사용된 정보원은 아니었지만 유용한 정보원으로는 인식되고 있었다. 또한 '정확성'이나 '망라성' 등과 같은 정보의 품질을 정보원 선택의 중요한 기준으로 생각은 하지만 실제로는 편리하고 접근가능한 정보원을 선택하고 있음이 밝혀졌는데, 이는 대학생들이 중요하다고 생각하는 선택기준에 근거해 정보원을 선택하지 않고 있음을 보여준다. 정보원의 선택기준과 실제 이용간의 간극을 보여주는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 대학생들이 양질의 정보원을 선택하도록 도울 수 있는 정보활용교육과 더 사용하기 쉽고 편리한 정보시스템 설계를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

부산광역시 명지주거단지 완충녹지가 거주생활 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Resident Satisfaction Regarding Buffer Green Space at Meoyng-ji Multi-family Housing in Busan Metropolitan City)

  • 주거지역의 완충녹지는 주거환경 개선을 위한 하나의 메커니즘인 동시에 거주생활 만족에도 중요하고 다양한 사회적 역할을 수행하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 주거환경의 환경영향을 최소화하기 위해 설치하는 완충녹지를 대상으로 거주생활 만족에 미치는 영향관계를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 했다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 계획적으로 완충녹지가 설치되어 있는 명지주거단지의 거주민을 대상으로 설문조사를 통한 완충녹지가 가지고 있는 요인을 파악하고, 거주생활 만족도와의 인과관계를 분석했다. 분석은 사회과학 통계 패기지 SPSS(statistical package for social science) 21을 사용하여 요인분석, 상관분석, 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 명지주거단지 완충녹지의 역할은 주거쾌적성, 방재성, 녹지 이용성, 환경 생태성의 네 가지 요인으로 결정되었으며, 전체 누적 요인 기여율은 62.48% 중 주거쾌적성 기여율이 40.54%로 매우 높게 나타났다. 그리고 거주생활 만족도와는 주거 쾌적성과 녹지 이용성이 다소 높은 상관관계를 보였으며, 방재성과 환경 생태성은 유의확률이 각각 0.725와 0.898로 다중회귀분석의 선호요인으로 유의하지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 주거 쾌적성과 녹지 이용성을 높이기 위한 완충녹지 조성이 거주생활 만족도를 향상시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

학교급식의 관리와 효과에 대한 초등교사들의 태도 분석 (Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' Attitude Toward School Food Service Management and Effect)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the general problems of school food service and to explore a way to improve it, by examining elementary school teacher's consciousness and attitude toward it that gave a big impact on children's development of food habit. For attaining the purpose, the following research questions were posed : 1) What's elementary school teacher attitude toward school food service management? 2) What's elementary school teacher attitude toward school food service effect on children? 3) What's elementary school teacher opinion about how to develop school food service? The subjects of study were 328 male or female teachers who served at elementary school in urban and rural area, including eup, myon, or farming and fishing villages, Kyonggi province. A questionnaire survey was conducted over them. The conclusions were as follows: 1) Teacher Attitude Toward School Food Service Management Concerning food service place, the subjects were more satisfied at food service room(73.3%) than at classroom(23.0%). They responded that food service room was more effective, than classroom, for food transportation, distribution and post-arrangement. Their satisfaction at food service place was significantly different. The older teachers considered personnel management and cooking room's sanitary management to be more efficient, and their age made a significant difference to their consciousness of these things. Many teachers(63.1%) thought the measures to prevent and manage group food poisoning were relatively efficient. The male teachers expressed more affirmative view on the efficiency of school food expense management and menu preparation than female teachers, and there was a significant disparity between male and female teachers. 2) Elementary School Food Service Effect School food service was thought to be very effective for physical growth(74.1%) and physical strength improvement(70.1%). Teachers at smaller school revealed more affirmative response toward school food service effect on correcting an unbalanced diet, and older teachers considered its effect on nutrition knowledge acquisition and learning outcome to be more great. Teachers at larger school put less value on its effect on table manners, and school size produced a significant difference. The number of teachers who thought school food service generally raised parent concern and support for school(36.6%) was a little more than that of teachers who didn't think so(15.2%). And the number of teachers who didn't consider its effect on improving parent food life to be good(29.3%) was slightly more than that of teachers who did. 3) School Food Service Reform Measure What's most urgently needed for better school food service management appeared to be an expansion of facilities concerned, followed by more effective food distribution and transport, cooking room's better sanitary management, more successful food poisoning prevention and management, more effective food expense management, and an increase of food service personnel in the order named. The most effective means of school food service education was found to be a creation of link system to family, followed by a development of school food service education program, a development of teaching materials, an insertion of school food service in curriculum, and teacher education in the order named.

북한지역(北韓地域) 전통주거(傳統住居)에 관한 조사연구(調査硏究)(1) - 북한출신주민들의 지식체계분석을 통하여 - (A Study on the Traditional Houses of North Korea(I) - Based on the Memories of Immigrants from North Korea -)

  • Architectural researches on the traditional houses of Korea have been studied mainly based on the data collected in the field survey. From explosively incresed real mesurements and drawings in the field, plenty of data have been collected. Those have been the basic data for verifing and developing the theories on the traditional house. But after Korean war the researchers in South-Korea were not able to approach to the field in North Korea, so the new data of North Korea were not added any more. The poverty of real data have caused regional unbalance in the researches. This paper aims at collecting new data of traditional house in North Korea. But still being prohibited for the researchers of South Korea to approach to the field, I had to depend on the memories and experiences of the immigrants from North Korea who are now living in Kyon-Nam and Pusan Province. Through the questionnaire and drawings, they described vivid memory of their old houses. I was able to collect the data of 71 cases, which are significant and valuable as much as those of the real field are. The data include the address and site condition, family structure, economic condition, construction period of each house, The drawings by themselves show the building forms and plans, the plans of each building, and the included spaces. Although the quantity of those data is not enough for statistical analysis, it shows general tendency for analizing regional charateristics, the differnces among economical classes, and the periodical change. It opens the way for verfying the existing theory. Analizing the data, I have some conclusions as followings: a. Most of researchers have classified the dominant housing type of Hamkyong-Do as 'the double fold' type. In this study, all cases of Hamkyongbuk-do also show 'the double fold plan with Chongju-kan'. But in Hamkyongnam-do some cases show 'the double fold plan without Chongju-kan, or projecting the stable into the yard, which seem to be different type from 'the double fold plan with Chongju-kan' b. Existing theories classified the dominant housing type of Pyongahn-do as 'two buildings with pararell arrangement'. This classification is verified with the plentiful cases in this study. Futhermore, I found new tendency, that is, getting higher econnomic condition, they construct annex buildings between the main buildings. Finally their houses show 'scattered ㅁ shape'. The houses included in this two types has narrow and closed inner yard, which is different from the houses of the same shape in the south region of Korea. c. Existing theories classified the dominant housing type of Hwanghae-do as 'ㅁ sape with Daechong' type. I found many cases of 'ㅁ shape', but only two cases show 'Daechong'. 'The doble fold' type was also founded. Unfortunately very few cases were sent from Hwanghae-do, it is not enough for finding general tendency.
