Jik-Ryoung was originally desinged to be worn by lower-class people in the reign of King Woo(A.D 1387, Goryeo) when official dresses and headgear were redsigned according to Ming's (明) style. It was observed that Jik-Ryoung was the same Po(袍) as Dan-Ryoung(團領) except its straight collar. Nowadays we can find through documents and original forms of Jik-Ryoung itself that Jik-Ryoung prevailed from the beginning to the end of the Yi Dynasty. Lower class people wore this coat until King Sejo(世祖), but from that time the Jik-Ryoung could be worn only by the Noble class as street clothes and home wear as well. Middle class people wore this coat as an office wear. Its style had changed from narrow sleeves and Moo (무, a reinforcing cloth strip) at the beginning to widers and Moo after the middle years of the Dynasty and finally fixed its style to sewing upper parts of Moo together. While red, white, and blue were the common colors, silk, hemp, cotton, and ramie were preferred materials to be made of.

This study aims at inquiring into the image and characteristics of suitable hair style by occupation between movie actresses, TV talents, fashion models, singers and MCs who undergo the biggest influence on the management of international image and the inclination of appearance. For this, it made a survey of the image and characteristics on 177 women in their twenties to thirties living in Seoul city, providing photos of entertainers' six hair styles by image. The results of this study were as follows: First, it showed that movie stars or TV talents shone into one work of movie or TV become accustomed to natural, casual and romantic image. Second, it showed that singers or fashion models become accustomed to ethnic and unique style, as they follow an occupation that adjusts to their concept to show their clothes.

The purpose of this study was to see that how about the variables of homemaker's age, marital periods, children numbers, homemaker's employment, family types, house types, family income, homemaker's education level, and the convenience of kitchen and laundry influence on homemaker's household preferences. On this study, the household tasks were classified into the tasks on Care of clothes, Mal preparation and clean-up, Care of the house, Care of the family members, and Marketing and record keeping. Questionaires were given to randomly selected homemakers in Busan in July, 1982. Data from the 736 respones were analyzed according to Multi regression and T-test. The results were as follows: 1. The variables affecting the homemaker's household preferences were marital periods, family income and the convenience of kitchen and laundry. Longer the marital periods, higher the family income and more feeling the convence were taken higher preferences on household tasks. 2. The variable of age was less significantly related to the homemaker's household preferences than the marital periods. 3. The variable of house types was less significantly related to the homemaker's household preferences than the convenience of kitchen and laundry.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of self-actualization and demographic variables of adult women on the modesty and aethetics in the selection of clothes. The qestionnaire were completed by 647 women in taegu and jinju. The major findings of this research can be summairzed as follows : 1. Marital status has effect on the self-actualizing values. religion, occupation and income have effect on self-acceptance. Marital staus and religion have effect on nature of man. 2. Frequency of contact with mass media has effect on the modesty of clothing. Self-actualization and demographic variables have no direct effect on the modesty of clothing. 3. Self-actualizing values, self-acceptance, nature of man, income, frequency of contact with mass media have direct effect on the aethetics of clothing.

The purpose of this study is to identify the change according to income bracket and the trade-off between expenditure items by analyzing expenditure patterns of the urban households as a reset of the IMF. The results of this study are as follows; The composition percentage and the amount of consumption expenditure of urban households after IMF decrease in all classes. But the change of composition percentage by the decrease of consumption expenditure is different in every class. The percentage of decrease of the upper class is higher than that of the lower class in an essential expenditure of household, which is food. And the percentage of decrease of the lower class is higher than that of the higher class in the discretionary expenditures such as clothes and education.

There were many books on infectious disease prevention act, and still remained 5 books including Ganuibyeokonbang. Epidemics were seriously ill and widely contagious, so it was important to prevent them. Therefore, they wrote various preventive measures from epidemics on those books. They emphasized medication, and used not only compound prescriptions but also singular ones. They wrote 5 compound prescriptions including Sohaphyangwon and many singular ones on Ganuibyeokonbang, and they used folk medicine such as red-beans준 for practical use on that book. On Sinchanbyeokonbang, they emphasized Hyangsosan and presented many prescriptions to specialize in epidemics. Heojun presented various prescriptions for Dangdokyeok on Byeokyeoksinbang, and he excluded incantation methods to cope with epidemics medically. Since Ganuibyeokonbang they had tried to improve personal hygiene such as boiling clothes of patients.

The aim of this study is to obtain new design factors which can be applied to the constructing design of bathrooms. This study was especially focused on the using patterns of the bathrooms of the rural apartment houses in Chungbuk Province which have been constructed by the public program to improve old farm houses. To carry out this study, field study, questionnaire survey and personal interview have been made. The results are as follows. 1) It is essential to lay out a bathtub, because farmers need to relieve their fatigue caused by manual labor, and mostly they don't find a bathhouse in the neighborhood. 2) With the drainage way, it is necessary to equip an apparatus to collect and remove the fallen hair and garbage which usually stop up the beak. 3) Considering the using patterns of the bathrooms as the place of washing one's face, foot, hair and clothes, one more hydrant is needed in the bathroom besides the two hydrants in the washstand and bathtub.

Essential hyperhidrosis is a socially disabling and emotionally embarrassing condition. Localized excessive sweating in the sacrococcygeal region is a rare form of focal hyperhidrosis. Although numerous treatment options exist, including botulinum toxin and sympathetic neurolysis, there has been no generally accepted form of treatment. The following cases describe the successful reduction of excessive sweating in the sacrococcygeal region, without side effects, after local applications of topical glycopyrrolate and the use of fast drying clothes.

This research aimed to examine consumer's expectancy disconformation related to purchase satisfaction/dissatisfaction and post-purchase behavior in cable TV home shopping. A total of 700 questionnaires were randomly sent to cable TV home shoppers and 172 copies were used in final analysis. Frequency analysis. correlation analysis, analysis of variance, regression analysis, path analysis, and multinominal logit were used. The expectancy discoformation on \"fitting\" and \"how well the clothes suits oneself\" were significantly related to the complaint behavior of return and refund. TV home shoppers tended to express their complaints by requesting the home shopping company or the manufacture company for a compensation rather than express privately such as warning friends, stop buying and boycotting the item. The significant variables that would influence consumers to seek refund rather than exchange were purchase satisfaction, request of compensation to the company, overall expectancy disconformation and expectancy disconformation on decoration and details and suiting oneself.

This study attempted to identify that how the meaning of clothes and clothing behavior were extended, and to examine that they, produce what kinds of meaning in the specific contort in a novel, the Honpul. The Frame of meaning analysis proposed by Beaugrande, Dressier, and Damesteter was used as an analyzing method. The 100 texts were collected for analysis from the Honpul volume 1 to 10. Psychological meanings were categorized to sensitivity meaning, disposition meaning and incantation meaning. Those had not only a basic meaning which could be gotten from the practical clothing but also second and third extended meanings. The point of this study was to present a new method and possibility for analyzing the code of costume culture by the extended meanings in novels.
