  • This study was carried to a textile conservation process included washing effect fiber analysis such as fiber identification fabric density and thickness color fading and of extracted soils. the following results were obtained. 1. AS a result of investigating to fabric surfaces by S.E.M all of cleaning methods wet cleaning-solvent cleaning in charge system were effective to remove soils from fabrics. 2. The buried fabrics were made of silk few of them were cotton ramie and hemp. 3. According to fabric density and thickness used fabrics were almost medium weight fabrics. 4. Low values of L, a, b indicated that the colors of these fabrics were faded to yellow and brown. 5. The soil components were hydrocarbon-alkane group alkyl alcohol and ketone group.

As for the methods of research, literary research was carried out using reference based on feminism history and sexuality concept and demonstrative analysis was undertaken using 2000's collections photographs. In the results of that, the sexuality of gender resistance feminism is featured by three key words: sado-masochism sexuality, bi sexuality and hetero sexuality. First, sado-masochism sexuality shows fetish look and dominatrix look shown in the strong attitudes. Sado-masochism sexuality is setting fetishes such as mask, whip, chain, metallic materials and tight leather boots. Second, bi sexuality presents mannish look of soft and feminie style's slim pants suit with ruffle, flounce and decorated detail blouse. and fetish look wearing of sexual symbol clothes such as corset and bustier. Third, hetero sexuality represent glamour look which exposure and emphasis of breasts, hips and other sexual symbols.

  • In the Oriental Medicine, the element of coldness is regarded as one of the important causes which induce female's diseases. Nowadays the number of the female patients is ascending that serously appeal the coldness-sense and pain-sense at the particular part of the body, for example, hand, foot, abdomen, waist, external genital portion and so on. These are caused by female's physiological characteristics of the menstration and delivery, and the influence of the life circumstances, for example, the clothes briefness, the overdiet, oversetting of the airconditioner. The Female's Part-Coldness Syndrome is a disease which the oriental people better than the western people suffer from and if it would be sick for a long time, it could brings into the other diseases. The Oriental Medicine have better effects by the diagnosis and treatment according per symptom in the contrast with the Western Medicine having difficulties in the point of accurate diagnosis and treatment.

  • To examine the effects of clothes upon human's physiological adaptation to the changes of climatic conditions, clothing weight was examined. The results are as follows; 1. According to the change in temperature, the total, upper and outer clothing weight showed remarked change. Clothing weight change was greatest between the July and October, the change was greater in the coast land and the girl students. 2. The clothing weight tends to be light under outdoor in both regions in all seasons except in July, it is remarked in inland and December. 3. The correlation between $R\"{o}hrer$ Index, Body Fat and clothing weight was recognised to be significantly reversed. 4. Positive correlation between health conditions and clothing weight was recognized in December 5. The correlation between exercise hours and clothing weight was negatively significant in December.

  • This study was performed to provide fundamental data on middle-aged women's upper torso by classifying the upper torso somatotype and analyzing the characteristics of their somatotype. Factor analysis of principal component model was used to 38 directly measured items, and cluster analysis was applied for classification of upper torso forms. Seven factors were extracted from the factor analysis. The first factor represented the items of circumference, breadth, and depth which were related with body size. On the basis of the cluster analysis using factor scores trom factor analysis as being independent variables, the subjects were classified into three groups. Three dress forms were constructed according to the characteristics for each somatotype of subjects, the three-dimensional characteristics of somatotype were analyzied by the moire pattern and horizontal section map of proposed dress forms. Wearing test by moire topography was used to evaluate wearing outline, the ease of clothes and garment space. Moire pattern and horizontal section map were useful to evaluate wearing conditions, and garment space was changed by the characteristics of the body shape.

  • Using plasmas, hydrophobic surfaces are made on various substances such as polyimide films, filter paper, cotton clothes and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) with hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO), trimethylchlorosilane (TMCS) and toluene reagents. Plasmas are easily and rapidly to change surface of hydrophilic materials into hydrophobic. We have also optimized processing time and maximized contact angle for super-hydrophobicity of MWCNT. Contact angles have been calculated by measuring between substance and probe liquid, and total surface free energies are determined by the Owens-Wendt equation. Figure 1 shows the measured contact angles with time and ratio of reagents on MWCNT.

  • The footwear such as socks and shoes is the clothing which are necessary to our life. In this study, clothing comfort of the footwear was carried out by physiological responses and subjective evaluation. As a result, the effect to walking comfort by the height of a heel in female shoes became clear. Then suitability evaluation system of shoes was proposed from the measuring results. On the other hands, the clothing comfort of the hosiery was evaluated from ECG analysis. By this analysis, it became clear that the factor which influences the clothing comfort of the hosiery was the clothes pressure in the hosiery. In the future, plane shape of the foot and solid shape must be considered in order to design the hosiery.

  • This experiment was conducted to determine the heat loss by the amount of perspiration from human body. Warmth keeping ratio determined by using cooling methods were as follows ; 1) The higher amount of moisture evaporation, the higher amount of heat loss was resulted 2) The cold feeling was found at the level of moisture content in clothes above 0.017 cc/$cm^3$ (amount of moisture evaporation; $160\times10^{-3}cc/cm^2{\cdot}min$) 3) There was no relationship between the characteristics of fabrics(kinds, density, were factor, moisture transpiration) and heat loss at the same moisture content.

The results of the study were as follows: 1. There are factors which have effect on variables of need. School careers have effect on physical need. Age, marriage status and household type have effect on safty need. Native community and household type have effect on self-esteem. School career, native community, household type and frequency of contact with mass media have effects on need of self-actualizing and native community has effect on the aesthetic need. 2. Physical bleed, self-esteem, self-actualization, safety need, fiequency of contact with mass media, age, native community and income have direct effect on the modesty of clothing. 3. Aethetic and self-actualization need, frequency of contact with mass media and income have direct effect on the aethetics of clothing.
