  • This study investigated the clothing easiness of movement when wearing casual Hanbok(Saenghwal Hanbok), as a high school student uniform, and produced some recommendations for improving the Hanbok. Casual summer-uniform Hanbok produced from different types of materials were produced for this study. They were P/R, P100, P/C, and P/R/S for the blouses, with P/W, P100, P/R, and P/W/F for the skirts. Their clothing easiness of movement were then tested at $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and $50{\pm}10%$ R. H. The results were as follows: The easiness of movement for casual Hanbok was marked as $3.7l({\pm}1.03)$ on average which is higher than those of other garments, so it can be presumed that the easiness of movement for the tested clothes was quite good. The easiness of movement was lower, however, when students had their arms up front, right arms upright, arms crossed on the cheats, and bent forward whereas they were more comfortable when standing straight and sitting on a chair at 90 degrees. In terms of easiness of movement, the following ranking was revealed: waist, bust, shoulder, back, armhole, and upper arm. The easiness of movement for casual Hanbok skirts was quite good, and on average marked around $4.26({\pm}.77)$. Standing straight was the most comfortable position, when they bend forward 45 degree and 90 degree were the most uncomfortable positions. The buttocks area was also more comfortable than the waist area for casual Hanbok skirts.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the idea of sustainable slow design by analyzing literatures and preceding cases, based on the external elements of a design including forms, the methods of expression, materials and colors. This study reviewed the previous literature of books and pictures related to the research for case studies and content analysis. fashion books, magazines, and web-sites published from 2000 to 2005 were analyzed for this research. The sustainable slow design trends in fashion can be summarized as follow. The first is a timeless style which has sustain ability in design independently of the versatile fads and relies on functionality, serving the purpose of design. One of the examples is both clothes designed by Burberry and suits by Chanel. The second is a hand-touch style which the more time for outputs can be positively tolerated, in favor on eco-friendly design through the techniques of manual arts. The third is a renewable design which the combined values of design with reuse and renewal result in recreation of past ecology as shown in the technique of designs by mix & match. The forth is a transformable design which features the multi-purpose and multi-forms, eventually extending the lift cycle of products. As a result of analysis of the four designs above, it can be inferred that the representation of past styles, the mixture of old design with new design, the appropriate combination of conventional fabrics with advanced ones, the ecological trends of sports look was emerging.

  • Background: The basic concept of thermographic interpretation is the thermologic equality of both side in normal person. But both sides diseases were limited diagnostic values by thermographic interpretation, and this interpretation does not apply to the case in thermal temperature of each part of body. Nevertheless, the measurement conditions are not standardized. So, for its clinical applications are extended, we think that the measurement conditions are considered the individual variations. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the optimum conditions thermal temperature of the time period and region are not effected by internal and external variables. Methods: After the subjects took off their clothes, the filming were repeatedly five times made on duration of 5minutes during 20minutes. We selected nine regions around acupoints including Yin dang[印堂, HN1], Sugu[水溝, GV26], Ch’ondol[天突, CV22], Chonjung[CV17], Chung-wan[中脘, CV12], Ch’onch'u[天樞 S25], No-gung[勞宮, P8], and calculated based on the utility of R.O.I.(Region of Integer) in our system these points temperature. We measured the optimal time period and region that has little variation of thermal temperature. Results: The results shows that the optimal time period is 20minutes after undressed, and the optimal region is the region around acupoints including Sugu[水溝, GV26]. • This study focuses on women and fashion in Korea between the 1960s and 1970s, when the government regulated the socio-cultural aspects of individuals while achieving remarkable economic industrialization, particularly through the representative popular weekly magazine 'Sunday-Seoul'. The scope of this study included 168 issues from September 22, 1968 to December 26, 1971. Two research methods were applied, literature research and content analysis research. First, the literature on Korean society, culture, women's fashion, the sociological, feminine and popular cultural studies were reviewed. Thereafter, the contents, cover, articles, pictorials were collected and analyzed for classification and identification of the women's images and women's fashion. In the case of fashion articles, the contents of vocabulary and description texts were highlighted, and in the case of pictorials, the visual elements such as images, silhouettes of clothes, details of features, and patterns of materials were assessed. The images of women in Sunday Seoul's articles and pictorials exhibited extreme opposite, presenting the most important purpose of marriage, 'wise mother and good wife' and 'image of sexual object' for men. The two images of women differed; however, there was one more female image 'industrial laborer' which was placed in the blind spot of interest. The characteristics of fashion which appeared in 'Sunday-Seoul' were 'uniform modern elegance' based on neat mini-style, and 'sexual image of exposure fashion' which endeavored to selectively borrow from overseas pictorials and trend-oriented articles. This could be viewed as a 'transformation of traditional Hanbok', 'avant-garde trend' and 'de-sexualization & indifference of fashion'.

  • Based on the method of marking the size of children's wear suggested by Korean Agency for Technology and Standards, this study classified the heights of school-aged girls by 10cm. The purpose of this study is to provide foundational material by analyzing and comparing the characteristics of torso types. The author analyzed the height section of 130 to 139.9cm, which the majority of subjects fell into, and concerning the method of research, this study statistically analyzed body sizes and calculated items related to 162 persons' torso types out of the 6th Korean Body Size Data. According to the results, eight factors were extracted, and the total explanatory variate of all the factors was found to be 81.93%. According to the results of cluster analysis with it as an independent variable, three types were drawn. Type 1 (41.4%) was found to be the thickest in the torso and round and severely curved in the sectional form of the circumference item. RegardingType 2 (25.9%), the horizontal size of the torso is similar to that of Type 1: the upper body is long, and the sectional form of the circumference item is oval-shaped. Regarding Type 3 (32.7%), mean values are similar to those of Type 2 overall: the upper body is short, and the body is the most upright. In conclusion, according to the results of analyzing torso types, the types and average values indicate significant differences in the height section of 130~139.9cm. This implies that when making ready-made clothes, it is necessary to come up with the sizes of more detailed items in relation with height. It is expected that the findings of this study will be utilized as basic data when children's wear companies develop prototypes and use grading variances according to the variations of size.

  • This research explores the efficacy of safety vest colors at construction sites to enhance worker safety. Utilizing the Munsell color system and the Korean Standard Color Analysis program(KSCA), the study developed a prototype safety vest tailored to specific types of construction work. A safety vest with a color contrasting the site's environment significantly improves worker visibility and intuitiveness in identification, potentially reducing safety incidents. The study determined the optimal color specifications(hue, value, chroma) for safety vests in various construction roles, such as 10GY, 8, 8 for rebar placement, 8.75B, 7, 8 for Euroform, 3.75B, 2, 4 for Gangform, and 6.25BG, 5, 10 for steel erection. Feedback from construction experts on these prototypes, particularly regarding the safety vests for rebar placement and steel framework, was overwhelmingly positive(90% approval). Consequently, the proposed safety vest color scheme is deemed highly effective.
