Ten newly evolved bivoltine hybrids of silkworm (Bombyx mori L) were evaluated with control hybrid KA${\pm}$NB4D2 during three seasons of a year for their seasonal performance. Analysis of variance and other statistical methods were employed and the performance was observed in respect of 10 quantitative traits. The results showed significant genotype${\pm}$environment interaction with respect to four quantitative characters viz. fecundity, yield/10,000 larvae, filament length and raw silk (%). Environmental effects were significant for nine characters out of ten characters evaluated. A 105${\pm}$J2 and B${\pm}$NB4D2 were considered as highly adaptable hybrids to local conditions with high mean for maximum characters studied and found suitable to rear in all seasons.

This study investigated whether people experience a correspondence between color hue-tone and the main characters' emotions in the 2012 British musical drama film, Les $Mis\grave{e}rables$ through three practical experiments. Six screen images, which represent the characters' different emotions (Parrot's six primary types including love, joy, surprise, anger, sadness, and fear) were selected. For each screen image, participants were asked to judge the degree of the character's dominant emotions evoked from 17 varied screen images, which consisted of original chromatic and achromatized images as well as 15 color-filtered images (5 hues X 3 tones of the IRI color system). These tasks revealed that a chromatic color scheme is more effective to deliver the characters' positive emotions (i.e. love and joy) than an achromatic one. In addition, they proved that the hue and tone dimensions partially influence the relationships between the character emotions and colors.

In this paper, we develop an algorithm which recognizes Ilpa-style shorthand characters by on-line. It discriminates the structure of characters using coordinates which are measured by tablet board, then it outputs the recognized characters using the fuzzy inference rules. Shorthand characters have several forms, in which an initial or a middle sound depends on angle and length while a last sound is treated as a hook. We apply fuzzy inference rules to the discrimination of the length, the angle, the curve, and the straight line. We also built up a set of standard character codes in order to reduce the processing time.

The study evaluated the influence of feeding different maturity leaves i.e., tender, medium, coarse and mixed leaves of three different maturity during late larval stages of new bivoltine race $(CSR_{3} {\times} CSR_{6})$. The data were compared with shoot feeding and control batches in which conventional feeding method was followed. The most of the larval and cocoon characters were recorded significantly higher in tender leaves fed batches followed by T4 batch (2 times tender and 1 time coarse leaves). Lowest melting percentage (1.494%) was recorded in T4 and highest (4.69%) was recorded in coarse leaf (T3) fed batches. Significantly higher post cocoon parameters viz., average filament length, non-breakable filament length, renditta and raw silk percentage were recorded in tender loaves fed batches.

Unlike the traditional view, it is not mysterious about how G. Mendel chose the seven characters of the pea, Pisum sativum, that he studied. He first chose the pea that met three conditions he set up and repeated experiments for two years. Apparently, he knew that those characters were controlled by countable elements. Then, he derived the prediction on the basis of his idea about the elements, and selected the seven characters that satisfied the prediction. He knew "no prediction no science". In population genetics the Hardy-Weinberg principle is well known and cited in many papers and books. However, Mendel already derived the same principle in his paper, because he was acquainted also with physics and mathematics. Actually, the principle was trivial when they derived, but not at all when Mendel did. It is also well known that Mendel's laws were forgotten and rediscovered at the term of the 19th century. That may not be true either. His laws were internationally well known before the rediscovery. In fact, the 1881-year version of the Encyclopedia Britannica contains his laws.

In order to clarify an effect of seedling weight on the growth pattern of ginseng, seedlings ranged from 0.4g plant to 1.8g plant were transplanted, and then the characters of 5- and 6-year-old ginseng were investigated. The characters of root and leaf, such as length and diameter of main root, root weight, leaf area, and leaf dry weight of 5- and 6-year-old ginseng originated from large seedlings were superior as compared with those from small seedlings, and percentage of missing plant was increased with the increase of seedling weight. There were, however, no significant difference in stem length, stem dry weight, number of seeds per plant and number of palmate leaves and leaflets per plant in 5- and 6-year-old ginseng and these characters were not affected by the weight of seedings transplanted. Root field per unit area was higher in seedings of above 0.6g/plant than in small seedlings.

This study examines how literary experiences cultivate environmental sensitivity. In this study we have 3 children(6th graders) to experience 3 selected literary works. The experience of 3 children focusing on characters is divided into 'sympathy', 'identification' and 'hostility' by empathy types. In literary experiences, children naturally support the values pursued by main characters. The experience focusing on plot events is consists of 'sympathy' and 'advice'. The children agreed with the way how the characters solved environmental issues while involved in the events by offering advice to characters whose actions they did not agree to. The experience focusing on topics is divided into 'assimilation' and 'reflection'. The children experienced the assimilation process. Furthermore, they reflected on new environmental issues. This result suggests literary experience subserve children to reflect value through empathy and cultivate their intention toward pro-environmental behavior by generating environmental sensitivity.

Hangul is expressed by the basic elements, twenty-four characters. Because these characters are composed of a circle and lines, Hough transform(HT), which has a powerful performance on the noise in extracting lines, is introduced. Many difficulties often occur when the original HT is used to extract strokes and it's direction, position and length from handwritten Hangul characters. Original HT has eight direction selected as samples in the transformed image should be calculated for these eight directions. In this paper, the generalized sampling rule is suggested. According to the rule, those directions which are possible to a line are the only thing to be calculated. The experoment result turned out to be higher than the method that Chen suggested in sampling rate. Anogher experiment result is done on the 1800 handwritten Hangul characters that 10 persons wrote. By feature extracting the oritinal HT and sampling HT. And as a result of six type classification, the suggested method came out higher than original HT.

In this paper, the system is implemented in four ways , For those who want to learn Chinese characters using the internet, and To make the learning more interesting and entertaining. Four different learning methods have been provided , using the transition process of Chinese characters, games, animations, and an illustration of the relationships between Chinese Characters and korean letters. The subjects of the evaluation were freshmen polled about the Chinese character learning system. The evaluation methods are : the validity of the research content is evaluated using the Cronbach's coefficient alpha and the performance of the system is evaluated by F-type of Analysis of variance.

As the Selenium is known to be growth promoter in sheep and cattle, the efficacy of selenium has been tested in silkworm Bombyx mori L. The V instar larvae were fed with lethal and sub-lethal doses of selenium treated leaves. The larvae fed with lethal dose showed a significant decrease in growth and Cocoon commercial characters. The treatment with sub lethal dose exhibited a significant increase in the growth of the silkworm. Correspondingly, the cocoon commercial characters on exposure to the lethal dose showed significant decrease and sub lethal dose showed a significant increase. In the light of similar findings reported earlier in other cocoon crops and vertebrates, it can be inferred that selenium at lower doses acts as a growth stimulator, resulting in the higher yield of cocoon crop.
