Purpose: This study aimed to review recent findings from birth cohort studies on maternal and child environmental health. Methods: Birth cohort studies regarding environmental health outcomes for mothers and their children were investigated through a systematic review. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and RISS to identify published studies using the keywords using a combination of the following keywords: maternal exposure, environmental exposure, health, cohort, and birth cohort. Articles were searched and a quality appraisal using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for cohort studies was done. Results: A review of the 14 selected studies revealed that prenatal and early life exposure to environmental pollutants had negative impacts on physical, cognitive, and behavioral development among mothers and children up to 12 years later. Environmental pollutants included endocrine disruptors, air pollution (e.g., particulate matter), and heavy metals. Conclusion: This systematic review demonstrated that exposure to environmental pollutants negatively influences maternal and children's environmental health outcomes from pregnancy to the early years of life. Therefore, maternal health care professionals should take steps to reduce mothers' and children's exposure to environmental pollutants.

As the number of customers who write fake reviews is increasing, online shopping sites have difficulty in providing reliable reviews. Fake reviews are called review spam, and they are written to promote or defame the product. They directly affect sales volume of the product; therefore, it is important to detect review spam. Review spam detection methods suggested in prior researches were only based on an international site even though review spam is a widespread problem in domestic shopping sites. In this paper, we have presented new review features of the domestic shopping site NAVER, and we have applied the formerly introduced method to this site for performing an evaluation.

Visualized information platforms through building information modeling (BIM) such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) improves the efficiency of architectural information exchange. Despite that, less effort has been directed to evaluate the effectiveness of different BIM visualization platforms for architectural design review. This study fills these gaps and compares three BIM visualization tools for reviewing diverse architectural review factors and technology acceptance degree. Three main BIM visualization tools, which are desktop-based, virtual reality-based and augmented reality-based, were employed and different architectural review factors and user's technology acceptance degree was measured. As a result, VR and AR environment showed better visual presentation than desktop environment during design review. In terms of the technology acceptance level, VR and AR environments have received higher ratings compared to desktop environments. The detailed findings provide guidelines for participants and researchers involved in design review process to selectively adopt VR and AR system to various architectural design review components.

This paper shows the case study of risk analysis in an weapon system research and development project. For risk analysis, an advanced stochastic networking technique-VERT (Venture Evaluation and Review Technique) is used. Assumptions for activities of network diagram and conversion methods from PERT ( Program Evaluation and Review Technique) to VERT are discussed. Also, simulation result is presented and discussed.

Purpose: This review aims to provide an understanding of the UN recommendations regarding school disaster safety in the context of Korea's school safety system. Methods: Relevant literature and reports on the UN's school disaster safety were investigated. On basis of the analysis, this review closely examined how the UN school disaster safety had been developed and what it had proposed. Results: Major findings from this review regarding the UN school disaster safety were to: 1) utilize "all-hazards approach"; 2) focus on "community-based approach"; 3) explore "education for sustainable development"; and 4) emphasize "informal disaster safety education." Conclusion: This review on the UN school disaster safety may give a critical implication to Korea's school safety education.

E-reviews, electronic reviews, are generally perceived as trustworthy and credible by the consumers, because it is based on the experiences of other consumers who are independent of the marketers. Therefore, consumers may rely more on the review information as an important cue than direct experience or advertising. This paper explored the structural equation model to investigate the relationships among search motives of e-reviews, attributes of e-review, trust, and purchase intention for cosmetics. A self-questionnaire was developed based on previous researches. Data were collected from 300 female university students experienced purchasing cosmetics at the Internet and were analyzed by AMOS 20.0. Results showed that e-review attributes consisted of three factors: expertise/visuality, quality/functionality and advertising/design. Utilitarian and hedonic search motives were significantly related to expertise/ visuality attributes of e-review and then influenced the purchase intention for cosmetics, mediated by the trust of e-review. However, quality/functionality attributes related by utilitarian motive did not have a significant effect to trust of e-review and purchase intention for cosmetics. Regardless of search motives and trust of e-review, advertising/design attributes of e-review directly related to purchase intention of cosmetics. As predicted, the trust of e-review was an important mediated variable to stimulate the purchase intention of cosmetics at internet. The implications of findings for research and practice are discussed.

How to teach calculus is an important issue since Calculus is the first mathematics in college curriculum which highly influences other subjects including Physics, Engineering Mathematics like differential equations, and other engineering major subjects. This study suggests that a class model of Engineering Mathematics include Calculus review test so that students can study for themselves Calculus 'outside Calculus class'. First of all, a systematic process of administrating a review test is presented. Secondly, scores of the Calculus review test is statistically analyzed to confirm that ability in Calculus is highly correlated to their achievements in Engineering mathematics. Through a survey, it is confirmed that students in Engineering Mathematics study Calculus for themselves as they think Calculus review test is helpful.

The main purpose of this study is to examine the overall procedure of hospital's internal review of health insurance reimbursement, to present the case of protest against reimbursement cut, and hence to provide some information on hospital's management of medical revenue. The object of the case study is 'P' university medical center, possessing 5 different hospitals under its system. Presentation of the case of protest against reimbursement cut has following meanings: Firstly, to the hospitals that already have internal review departments, information on the details of the protest process and results can be exchanged. Secondly, to the Government and National Health Insurance Corporation, useful data are provided for the improvement of the rules and procedures of health insurance reimbursement. Thirdly, to the hospitals without internal review departments, fundamental materials on the internal review process are provided for the effective management of medical revenue.

The purpose of this study is to review the relationship between environmental assessment (EA) and land use planning through the theoretical and practical perspective. Theoretically, this research studies environmental land use planning incorporating with environmental assessment. Practically, through the review on EA review opinion in Korea Environment Institute for recent 10 years, environmental land use mitigations are investigated. The results of this study are as follows:first, there have been new and innovative review criteria and mitigation methods in environmental assessment; second, land use mitigation tools have been mostly used in environmental assessment; finally, there is a need for mediating role by land use section in EA review system.
