한국 경호사에서는 제1공화국과 제2공화국의 대통령 경호에 관해서 구체적으로 다루지 않았다. 이에 기존의 선행연구에서 논하지 않은 세 가지 부분에 주안점을 두고 살펴보았다. 첫째, 제1공화국의 경호책임자는 제1대 김장흥 제2대 서정학 제3대 김국진 제4대 곽영주이다. 그러나 곽영주의 과오로 인해서 그동안 제1공화국의 경호책임자들에 관한 언급이 배제되었고, 제2공화국 당시에도 경호책임자에 대한 임명을 기피한 측면이 나타난다. 둘째, 제1공화국에서 내무부훈령 제52호로 "대통령경호특별수칙(1953)"이 제정되었다. 선행연구에서 누락된 이 수칙은 기존의 "경호규정(1949)"과 달리 대통령 경호에 초점을 맞췄으며, 제3공화국의 "대통령경호실법(1963)"보다 10년 전에 등장했다. 셋째, 제2공화국에서 대통령경호대의 발족을 공포하였다. 제1공화국의 대통령 경호를 담당했던 경무대 경찰서가 폐지된 이후, 제2공화국에서 등장한 대통령경호대는 제1공화국과 차별화된 대통령 경호기관 설립의 필요성에 따른 것이었다. 이제까지 한국 경호사에서는 제3공화국의 경호실장 "대통령경호실법(1963)" 대통령경호실을 기준으로 하여 제1 2공화국과의 흐름이 단절된 것으로 보았으나, 제1공화국의 경호책임자 "대통령경호특별수칙(1953)"과 제2공화국의 대통령경호대를 통해서 제3공화국 대통령 경호와의 역사적인 연계성을 찾게 되었다. 그리고 제1 2공화국의 대통령 경호에 있어서 경무대 경찰서 및 경찰관들의 활동이 경호인식 속에 내재되었고, 제3공화국 이후에는 군인들이 관여하면서 오늘날 한국의 경호 인식속에 경찰과 군(軍)이 포함되는 복합적인 양상에도 영향을 미쳤다. 그러므로 한국 경호사에서 경호실장 "대통령경호실법(1963)" 대통령경호실로 인해 주목받아 온 제3공화국에 비해서 적합한 평가를 받지 못했던 제1 2공화국의 대통령 경호에 대한 재평가가 요구된다.

Fibroblast is constantly subjected to mechanical loads in connective tissues where mechanical signals are converted to intercellular biochemical events. The aim of this study is to understand the effects of tensile stress on the neurotrophin (NT) and transforming growth factor (TGF) expression of fibroblast in vitro. Nerve growth factor (NGF) stimulates fibroblast migration, and TGF is related to tissue repair. In this study, at the uniaxial stretch of 10% strain and frequency of 0.5 Hz, different resting times of 0, 20, and 60 min are placed in between 10 min stimulations periods. Results show increase in NGF mRNA levels and a substantial decrease in NT3 mRNA after 1 hr of stimulation, indicating that the tensile stress may regulate NGF and NT3, key factors for the neurocosmetic applications. The mRNA level for TGF-${\alpha}$ and TGF-${\beta}2$ had increased up to two-folds after 1 hr of stimulation, showing that the tensile stress may control TGF, an important part of wound healing.

The repetitive vibrating action of an aerodynamic load causes an external fuel tank's horizontal fin to experience a shorter life cycle than its originally predicted one. Store separation analysis is needed to redesign the fin of an external fuel tank. In this research, free-drop tests were conducted using 15% scaled models in a subsonic wind tunnel in order to analyze the store separation characteristics of an external fuel tank. The store separation trajectory based on grid tests was also obtained to verify the results of the free-drop tests. The results acquired from the free-drop tests correlated well with the grid tests in regards to the trajectories and behavior of the stores separated from the aircraft. This agreement was especially noted in the early stages of the store separation.

Four mite species (Acari: Scutacaridae: Scutacarus acarorum (Goeze, 1780), Chaetodactylidae: Sennertia alfkeni (Oudemans, 1900); Ascidae: Proctolaelaps longanalis (Westerboer, 1963), Laelapidae: Hypoaspis (Pneumolaelaps) marginepilosa (Sellnick, 1938) are found on the body of bees deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. The host bee species were collect in Democratic People's Republic of Korea; the found four species are collected at first time in Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Experts are concerned about the lack of troops and security vacuum due to the low birth rate in the Republic of Korea. They consider policies to expand the proportion and role of female soldiers to address these issues. In this regard, We would like to introduce the successful use of female personnel in the Ukrainian military and draw implications for the Korean military. This will provide a clue to offset the shortage of troops in the Republic of Korea.

Polyphylla laticollis manchurica Semenov, 1900, is a critically endangered species in the Republic of Korea and is strictly protected as a Class I endangered species. Although this beetle species faces a threat of extinction, its ecological understanding is limited. Previous studies conducted on this species in the Republic of Korea have focused only on its taxonomy and mitochondrial genome sequences. Herein, we report an observation of the mating of adults of P. l. manchurica in June 2021, during an ongoing study on Korean beetles. This incidence was reported around light sources from newly constructed townhouses near Geumgang River. Larval habitats were observed along the river between April 2022 and March 2023. Particularly, two larvae were found inside the plant debris, and three were found under the roots of reeds. This study provides key information on the mating ecology of P. l. manchurica that can assist conservation efforts of this critically endangered species.

Climate change has caused changes in environmental factors that have a direct impact on agriculture such as temperature and precipitation. The meteorological disaster that has the greatest impact on agriculture is drought, and its forecasts are closely related to agricultural production and water supply. In the case of terrestrial data, the accuracy of the spatial map obtained by interpolating the each point data is lowered because it is based on the point observation. Therefore, acquisition of various meteorological data through satellite imagery can complement this terrestrial based drought monitoring. In this study, Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) was used as satellite data for drought determination. The ESI was developed by NASA and USDA, and is calculated through thermal observations of GOES satellites, MODIS, Landsat 5, 7 and 8. We will identify the difference between ESI and other satellite-based drought assessment indices (Vegetation Health Index, VHI, Leaf Area Index, LAI, Enhanced Vegetation Index, EVI), and use it to analyze the drought in South Korea, and examines the applicability of ESI as a new indicator of agricultural drought monitoring.

Purpose: This study was to investigate the resuscitation outcomes and the clinical characteristics of non-traumatic drug-induced out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by analyzing data from a single institution's registry. Method: We conducted a retrospective study of 795 patients who came to the emergency department with non-traumatic drug-induced out-of-hospital cardiac arrest during the period $1991{\~}2004$. Only patients over 18 years of age were included. Clinical characteristics. variables associated with cardiac arrest, and data during resuscitation were obtained from our cardiac arrest database. Patients were divided into two groups: drug-induced cardiac arrest (drug group, n=33), and non drug-induced cardiac arrest (non-drug group, n=762). Results: Spontaneous circulation was restored in 23 ($72{\%}$) patients in the drug group and in 314 ($45{\%}$) patients in the non-drug group ($x^2=0.020$). The patients who discharged alive number were 46 ($6{\%}$) in the non-drug group and 0 ($0{\%}$) in the drug group ($x^2=0.005$). The witnessed arrest, the epinephrine doses, and total defibrillation energy were not different between two groups. Conclusion: The return of spontaneous circulation rate was higher in the drug group than the non-drug group. However the drug group was lower survival discharge rate than in the non-drug group.
