채식 선택 속성에 따른 채식 시장세분화 연구 (A Study on Vegetarian Market Segmentation by Vegetarian Selection Attributes)

  • Consumption market research was conducted on gradually increasing vegetarians using various selection attributes. Factors were extracted to identify vegetarian selection attributes and to divide the study cohort into groups, continuous variables (health, animal welfare, eco-friendliness, religion, familiarity, convenience, stability, and cost) and categorical variables (age, marital status, vegetarian duration, and vegetarian frequency) were simultaneously subjected to two-step cluster analysis. Cluster 1 contained high proportions of 20-29 and 30-39 year-olds, which are MZ-generation age groups. A high proportion had a vegetarian duration of 1-3 years, and the popular reasons for vegetarian selection were animal welfare and eco-friendliness. Cluster 2 contained high proportions of 50-59 and 40-49 year-olds, and many in this cluster were married, and mean vegetarian duration was ≥15 years. In addition, significant differences were observed between Clusters 1 and 2 in terms of religion, health, familiarity, cost, stability, and convenience. This study should contribute significantly to predicting vegetarian consumers' selection decisions and consumption behaviors and provide reliable marketing data for foodservice companies that develop vegetarian foods.

  • 본 논문은 한류의 전세계적 확산이 유튜브라는 새로운 SNS 서비스의 등장으로 확산방식이 달라진 것에 주목한다. 싸이의 '강남스타일'은 유튜브와 SNS의 매개를 통해 전세계적으로 성공했고 이로 인해 미디어 학자들은 한국 대중문화의 전세계적 확산과 유통의 새로운 양식에 대해 주목하게 되었다. 따라서 음악의 직접적인 전파뿐만 아니라 유튜브 사용자들의 K-pop의 전유양식에 대한 검토도 역시 필요하다. 즉, 단순히 대중문화 수용자들이 문화적 텍스트를 보거나 듣는 것을 넘어 어떻게 이러한 전유양식이 대중문화의 국제적 확장과 증폭에 기여하는 지를 검토할 필요가 있다. 이전에는 CD나 DVD와 같은 유형의 재화의 유통을 통해 대중문화의 유통이 매개되었으나 유튜브의 등장으로 유형의 재화 없이도 문화 교류가 이루어지는 새로운 현상이 발생한다. 이 연구는 어떻게 이런 유튜브 사용자들의 전유양식, 특히 K-pop 팬들이 만든 동영상이 K-pop의 전세계적 확산에 어떻게 간접적으로 기여하는 지를 살펴 본다. 이론적 측면에는 팬덤 연구 등을 검토한다. 연구방법으로는 온라인 공동체에 대한 민속지학적 연구방법인 넷노그래피를 사용한다.

존재하는 모든 것들의 공존 -미주 이민자 전낙청의 사랑에 관한 한 상상 (Coexistence of Everything that Exists -An Imagination about Love of Korean American Immigrant Nakchung THUN)

  • 이 글은 근대 초기에 일어났던 이동과 접촉의 한 양상으로서, 한인 미주 이민자의 소설쓰기의 양상과 서사적 상상력의 의미를 규명하고자 했다. 전낙청이 1930년대 쓴 소설들의 뒤늦은 귀환은 근대 초기 모빌리티의 다양성을 복원하고 기록과 기억에서 배제되었던 이민자들의 역사와 문화를 대면하게 했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이 소설들은 단순히 이민지라는 접경의 산물일 뿐만 아니라, 그곳을 새로운 역사와 문화, 제도와 가치 등을 생성하는 공간으로 상상하게 함으로써 지배와 종속, 중심과 주변 등의 이분법적 인식에 균열을 만들어 냈다. 이 소설들은 지적, 정서적, 윤리적으로 탁월한 인물들의 자유연애를 중심 사건으로 다루면서, 서양의 자유연애를 탈신비화하는 것과 동시에, 계급, 인종, 성별을 비롯한 여러 정체성에 의해 구획된 사회에서 벌어지는 분할과 경계에 비판적으로 개입하는 사랑의 공적인 역할을 발견한다. 전낙청의 소설쓰기는 잭이라는 인물을 통해 이민자와 선주민 공동체 사이의 적극적인 교호를 전경화함으로써, 이민자들의 유토피아가 아니라 존재하는 모든 것들이 공존하는 장소로서 헤테로토피아를 상상하게 한다. 이 소설들은 그간 종속되고 주변화된 접경에 관한 일종의 기억전쟁을 선포했다. 이민지라는 접경은 지난 세기 이래로 극심한 갈등과 불화들을 경험하는 공간이면서 동시에 유례없이 다양한 공동체와 지역사회들이 연결되는 장소로 기능하기도 했다. 접경은 분할과 점령의 대상이기 이전에 연대와 창조의 공공재였다. 이 소설들은 접경이 우리의 역사와 문화가 국가, 지역, 민족 사이의 대립항 속에서만 형성되지 않았을 가능성을 시사한다. 국경이나 경계와 먼, 그래서 고정 불변하는 교착상태가 아니라, 중심의 지배로부터 자유로운 세계로서 접경이야말로 다양한 만남을 통해 도래할 역사와 문화를 선취하는 시공간이었으며, 공동체였다.

일본적인 것, 혹은 금지된 '소리'의 계보 -한일국교정상화 성립기 '왜색(倭色)' 비판담론과 양의성의 정치미학 (The Genealogy of Forbidden Sound -Political Aesthetics of Ambiguity in the Criticism of Japanese Style in Korean Society of the 1960s)

  • 한일국교정상화를 전후하여 '일본이 또 다시 한반도로 온다'라는 막연한 불안과 공포의 정조가 조성되었으며, 그에 대한 반작용으로 '왜색' 비판담론이 강력하게 대두되었다. 다만 기존의 '왜색' 비판담론이 미처 처분하지 못한 식민지 잔재에 대한 민족적 반감을 표명하는 것이었다면, 1960년대 비판담론은 대중문화 속에서 새롭게 생성되고 있던 '왜색'에 신경을 곤두세우고 있었으며 그것을 한국에 대한 '일본의 변함없는 악의'가 징후적으로 드러나는 현상으로서 파악하고자 했던 것이다. 이처럼 국교정상화를 전후하여 대두된 '왜색' 비판담론은 기존 비판담론과는 질적인 차이를 지녔다. 이 새로운 '왜색' 비판의 논리는 "국경을 넘는 문화적 현대성의 매개", 즉 냉전체제하 지정학적 질서 속에서 유동하고 연쇄되었던 서구(미국)발 탈민족적·탈국가적 '대중문화'와 그것의 소비주체로서 성장한 '대중'에 대한 경계와 검열의 의지를 동반하고 있었던 것이다. 따라서 1960년대 한국에서 '대중적인 것=왜색적인 것=소비적인 것'의 위상학은 그 사회 내부에 존재했던 "도덕적 요구의 역설"을 드러내 보인다. 이는 일본이라는 타자와의 직접적 접촉을 회피하도록 하면서도 동시에 그것에 한없이 이끌리며 가까이 다가가도록 만드는 분열적 순환구조를 고착화하는 계기가 된다. 그것은 자타를 엄밀하게 가르는 도덕적 절단을 통해 대상을 저편으로 밀어내면서도 한편으로는 그 대상에 매료되어 다시 이편으로 끌어들이는 반복강박을 내포하는 것이다. 이 글은 그것이 구조화된 궤적을 더듬어보고 그에서 반복되어 나타난 불협화음의 의의를 정치미학적 차원에서 해명하고자 당대에 발생된 상이한 소리들에 귀를 기울여 볼 작정이다. 그것은 곧 한국사회의 내적 통제원리를 구축하려는 권력이 강력하게 발동하면 할수록, 혹은 그 권력이 지닌 억압적이고도 폭력적인 이면을 감추기 위해서라도 되풀이하여 끌어들어야만 했던 '일본(적인 것)'이라는 대타성, 즉 완전히 자신의 일부로 받아들일 수도 없고 소멸시켜 버릴 수도 없는 역설에 대한 고찰이 될 것이다.

Study on purchase behavior and satisfaction of Chinese tourists who buy Korean hair cosmetics in Myeong-dong - Targeting women at 20s and 40s -

  • In China, the phenomenon called 'Korean Wave' has boosted the interest in Korean pop culture, such as TV drama, music and films, and even in the general culture and society. As Korean singers, movie actors and talents become popular beyond acceptance of public culture, those who learn Korean, buy Korean products and visit Korea have emerged. Especially, most Chinese women have used Korean hair cosmetics and the interests in Korean hair cosmetics are increasing, since cosmetic companies entered China early due to Korean wave. Thus, the status of purchase of Korean hair cosmetics is growing day by day in China. In particular, since the environment is established to buy hair cosmetics easily in Myeong-dong which is one of the shopping tourism special districts, many Chinese tourists are crowded there. Based on such phenomenon, this study explored the differences in perceptions towards 'Korean Wave' among Chinese tourists who purchased Korean hair cosmetics in Myeong-dong, and analyzed the factors that largely determine the interest in Korean hair cosmetics and their purchase behavior. Therefore, this study is aimed at contributing to the development of hair cosmetics products and the market amid Korean Wave. As the research methods, 100 answered questionnaires were collected with target of Chinese tourists at 20s and 40s who purchased Korean hair cosmetics in Myeong-dong once 120 questionnaires were distributed. In-depth analysis was conducted and final research data were used. It was confirmed that Korean fever positively affected the Chinese tourists' purchase behavior and satisfaction of hair cosmetics, and the interests in Korean hair cosmetics at 20s were higher than at 40s. People at 20s had higher awareness, satisfaction and intention of repurchase of hair cosmetics compared rather than people at 40s. The research confirmed that Chinese tourists are very interested in Korean hair cosmetics as the pop music craze has led to the general Korean Wave, and differences in such perceptions have led to significant differences in the product purchase behavior.

Characterization of the KG1a Cell Line for Use in a Cell Migration Based Screening Assay

  • High-throughput screening has become a popular method used to identify new “leads”for potentially therapeutic compounds. Further screening of these lead compounds is typically done with secondary assays which may utilize living, functioning cells as screening tools. A problem (or benefit) with these cell-based assays is that living cells are very sensitive to their environment. We have been interested in the process of stem cell migration and how it relates to the cellular therapy of bone marrow transplantation. In this study we describe a secondary, cell-based assay for screening the effects of various in-vitro conditions on Immature Hematopoietic Cell (IHC) migration. Our results have revealed many subtle factors, such as the cell's adhesive characteristics, or the effect of a culture's growth phase, that need to be accounted for in a screening protocol. Finally, we show that exponentially glowing KG1a cells (a human IHC cell line) were 10 times more motile than those in the lag or stationary phases. These data strongly suggest that KG1a cells secrete a chemokinetic factor during the exponential growth phase of a culture.

거동 불편 노인에 대한 기능성 의복 연구 -서울, 경인 지역 노인 전문 요양 시설을 중심으로- (A Study on the Adaptive Dress for the Disabled Elderly -Nursing Facilities for the Elderly in Seoul and Kyoungin Area-)

  • This study aimed to provide basic data for designing adaptive dresses for the disabled elderly. The procedure of this study consisted of 3 parts ; 1. the survey of 205 nursing-care providers who take care of the disabled elderly, 2. the market survey of dadptive dresses for the disabled elderly, 3. wearing-tests of those adaptive dresses which are in the market. The results are as follows ; 1. The most popular style for the disabled elderly in nursing facilities was non-collar, regular pajamas. And the most favorite design was a pajama\`s style which has no collar but has a round neckline, front opening and 7/10 length shirt\`s sleeves, with pants of an elastic band waist. And the most desirable fabric was a physiologically comfortable one. 2. The system of adaptive dress sizes for the Korean elderly consisted of 85, 95, 105 ㎝, while that for the japanese elderly was divided into F/S/M/L/LL according to gender. 3. In the case of a pajama\`s style. it is necessary for the elderly men in the facilities need bigger sizes for their jump suits. When we tested the adaptive dresses for the elderly in the nursing facilities, in the case of a pajama\`s style, it was most difficult for us to pull pants over around the buttocks. In the case of jump suits, it was most difficult for us to dress and undress the adaptive dresses around the chest.

  • The purpose of the study was to provide the actual data for designing adaptive dresses for the disabled elderly. In order to get the data, we had 3 parts of the procedure as follows ; 1. The survey of 205 nursing-care providers who take care of the disabled elderly in 1999. 2. Measuring 10 measurements of 80 disabled men and women each, 160 samples. 3. On the basis of data above, developing the adaptive dresses and doing the wearing-tests of those. The results are as follows ; 1. The most popular style for the disabled elderly in nursing facilities was non-collar pajama's. Specially, pajama style was needed for the disabled elderly being sick in bed, one-piece style was required for the disabled eldery with dementia. And the most desirable fabric function was a physiological comfortability. The most proper price required was about 20,000 won. 2. As Korean apparel industry use K.S. sizing system, we decided to use the same measurement to categorize the samples, bust and height. And according to the frequency in the size chart, we suggested the production size for the disabled eldery men and women. 3. After developing these adaptive dresses, the results of wearing-tests showed two kinds of problems. One was that of the sleeve length ; Actually, for the disabled elderly, the longer than the production size is the better for them. The other problem was revealed from subsidiay materials, fasteners.

  • This study focuses on the sportism expressed in the modern fashion. Many factors attribute to the advent of sportism such as rapid development and cultural changes toward sports, increase in leisure time, new fashion materials resulting from new technologies, youth culture and postmodernism. Designers gazing into the future are inspired by the details and functionality of clothing for snow boarding, skiing, rock-climbing and fitness. While the sportswear is the term whith stemmed from the need for functionally in sports, the Sportism is the style inspired by the formative elements, that is, the details, the silhouette, and the colors of the sportswear. New technologies for sports, the powerful influence of youthful culture, and the celebritizations of the sports stars made the sports look more popular. It can be categorized into three aesthetic values, i.e., the functional sportism, the street sportism, and the futuristic sportism. The functional sportism is expressed with the details of function, simplicity, and no useless ornament, the street sportism with fun, androgynous and unisex mode and the image of hip-hop look and traditional look, the futuristic sportism with new high tech fabrics and cyber style. The characters of these are a sence of unisex, sensualness, ostentation, renovation.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the history of 20th century fashion and make-up culture, analyze trend of the modern fashion and make-up, creat a cyber make-up model according to themes and also it will find out how to use make-up as a part of fashion genre. As a result of this study is 1. Looking over change-process in 20th century fashion and make-up history, we can find the popular make-up color and pattern reflecting the society and cultural environments. And also make-up culture reflecting their sense of values and way of thinkings. 2. Analyzing fashion and make up color trend of 2002 F/W, we can find a similarity between fashion and make-up color trend by comparing with hue&tone chart. All of theme have a tendency to be natural, veiled, feminine by neutral color and artifical highlighted, illuminate, transparant by clear-high saturation color. 3. Creating imagemaps, color palletes and cyber model of 4 trend themes by computer graphic, It can give more visual and interesting effect on the cyber space, and also it can help to expect make-up will be dizitalized, visualized and informationalized.
