After 1970s, because of an increasing peoples for higher education and graduate school-oriented education system, quantities of thesis were produced for short term and they began to be an important part of gift materials in university libraries. As an unpublished documents, thesis is narrow in subject, deep in content, irregular is page, incomplete in binding and produce limited-edition during short time simultaneously at most institutions. So most libraries are in difficulties for acquisition processing and circulation. Because of an increasing number of thesis will be produce and cutback of budget, shortage of staff, library service for user will be difficult and rational and efficient management is absolutely essential to library. In form and content, thesis is in distinction with other library materials, they must be handler as an independent item and library will seek an a n.0, ppropriate processing and using method of them. Analysis and synthesis of this study are summarized as follows. 1. In acquisition of thesis, it is desirable that they has an independent accession book with a simplified processing procedure and the binding of them is desirable together with subject field(major or department) by institutions. 2. In classification and cataloging of thesis, it is rational that library use the same classification scheme as other materials and expand in details. Simplified catalog will be reduce the time and/or personnel problem than using the traditional KCR or AACR. 3. As an retrieval tool, author, title, shelf and subject catalog must be prepared in thesis room. Index of thesis will be available for retrieval with the trend of union list and Korean periodicals index (National Assembly Library, Republic of Korea) must include the thesis. 4. Because of the nature and characteristics of thesis, library has to equip an independent room and open stack for the a n.0, ppropriate retrieval and frequent use. Qualified librarian must serve for the efficient circulation service.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of non-pharmacologic interventions for chronic nonspecific low back pain (CLBP) in adults aged 18-64 years. Methods: We searched for potentially relevant randomized controlled trials and non-randomized controlled trials through five Korean electronic databases (i.e., Korean Studies Information Service System, Research Information Sharing Service, Korean Medical Database, KoreaMed, and National Assembly Library) published from January 2010 to May 2019. Two investigators independently selected the studies based on the criteria and assessed risk of bias in the included studies. We estimated the effect size of interventions using Comprehensive Meta Analysis 3.3. Results: Of 10,151 studies, 26 studies met the inclusion criteria and 15 studies were included in the meta-analysis. Exercise reduced low back pain (Hedges's g=-1.53, 95% CI: -2.22 to -0.85) and pain-related disabilities (Hedges's g=-0.92, 95% CI: -1.40 to -0.45). We found that taping was effective in decreasing low back pain (Hedges's g=-1.12, 95% CI: -1.51 to -0.73) and pain-related disabilities (Hedges's g=-0.50, 95% CI: -0.93 to -0.07). Manual therapy yielded a marginally significant reduction in low back pain (Hedges's g=-2.32, 95% CI: -4.64 to 0.00), the therapy was not effective in decreasing pain-related disabilities. Conclusion: Although there was little evidence for the effectiveness of manual therapy in adults with CLBP, exercise and taping were effective to relieve pain and pain-related disabilities. Based on these findings, we suggest the development of non-pharmacologic interventions or a nursing intervention protocol for the CLBP management. Also, nurses should consider implementation of effective non-pharmacologic interventions for CLBP.
Objectives The aim of this review is to investigate clinical studies for manual therapy on Temporomandibular Joint Disorder and to propose for the better method of studies in the future. Methods We investigated recent clinical studies for manual therapy on Temporomandibular Joint Disorder via searching Pubmed, KISS, KISTI, KERIS, KMBASE and National Assembly Library. 21 domestic and overseas articles were analyzed and the journals, the authors, the published years, countries, methods, periods, techniques of chiropractic, outcome measures, and purpose of those articles were examined. Results Studies on manual therapy were mainly published via Cranio. The diagnostic criteria that most frequently adopted in the overseas articles were research diagnostic criteria for temporomandibular disorders, The technique of chiropractic that most frequently adopted in the articles was passive traction and translation of TMJ. Many of the studies were researched for effectiveness of the manual therapy as the secondary treatment. Conclusions Reviewing the recent clinical studies for manual therapy on temporomandibular joint disorder and figuring out the strong points and weak points of those studies are necessary to future studies. It is anticipated that this review would benefit the in-depth treatments for temporomandibular joint disorder in terms of Korean medicine.
Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to analyze and evaluate prior studies published in Korea on the cardiovascular disease-related quality of life, in order to make recommendations for further research. Methods: A total of 15 studies were selected from four databases(Digital library of Research Information Center for Health, Korea Medical Database, MedRic, and National Assembly Library). The selected studies were analyzed according to criteria, such as diagnosis/operation, used instrument, generic/specific instrument, dimension of quality of life, translation/ back-translation, sample size, reliability, validity, responsiveness, number of items, type of scale, time required, and independent variables. Results: Of the 15 cardiovascular disease-related quality of life studies, approximately half of them were conducted with hypertension or ischemic heart disease patients. All studies asserted that the concept of quality of life had multidimensional attributes. With respect to the questionnaire used for measuring the quality of life, only one study used a cardiovascular disease specific-instrument and most studies did not consider whether or not the validity of their instrument had been established. In addition, when using questionnaires developed in other languages, only one study employed a translation/back-translation technique. The types of variables tested for their influence on quality of life were quite limited. Conclusion: It is recommended to develop a reliability and validity established cardiovascular disease specific-quality of life for Korean patients and to identify associated new variables.
The 2011 August 09 Flare is one of the largest X-ray flares of Sunspot Cycle 24 to attract a lot of attention for its various activities detected in coronal images. In this study we concern ourselves mostly on information of high energy electrons produced during this flare provided by hard X ray data from the Reuven Ramaty High-Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) and radio data from the Korean Solar Radio Burst Locator (KSRBL) and Ondrejov. EUV images obtained by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on board the Solar Dynamic Observatory are used to provide the context of magnetic reconnection. In our results, (1) HXR spectra have a rich spectral morphology. Initially it could be fit by one thermal component (T~30MK) and one single power law nonthermal spectrum, but later a better fit could be made by introducing an additional thermal component (T~55 MK). (2) Time delays between the KSRBL burst and the RHESSI hard X-ray emission were found which are more obvious at low frequencies and insignificant at high frequencies. (3) The HXR source lies in the core of the quadrupolar active region. In our interpretation based on AIA 94 A images, the outer part of the active region erupted to be blown out, leaving the intense hard X-ray emission concentrated in the core. We relate the appearance of the second thermal component to the evolution of the AIA 171 and 94 A images. The time delays of microwave peaks to HXR peaks are interpreted as indicating presence of trapped electrons in larger closed magnetic loops. With these result we conclude that the hard X ray and microwaves are due to impulsive acceleration in the low and high heights and a sigmoidal reconnection scenario.

In July, 2015, the Korean national assembly passed 'Act on Capital Markets and Financial Investments,' and therefore, it was expected that the crowd funding would be activated owing to a variety of fundraisings and investments. Hence, for the success of the crowd funding, this paper tried to identify the factors affecting the funding. In this study we analyzed the core variables of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT) and their perceived risks on the crowd funding participants' intentions as well as the mediating effects of the attitudes; the core variables of UTAUT were performance expectancy, perceived risk, facilitating conditions, social influence, and the like. As a result, it was found that such facilitating conditions as performance expectancy and social influence would affect crowd funding participants' intention positively, but that effort expectancy and perceived risk would not significantly affect their intention. On the other hand, as a result of testing the mediating effects of the attitudes, it was found that performance expectancy and social influence would have significant mediating effects on participants' intention.
Background: This study aimed to evaluate the mechanical, biological, and esthetic stability of a zirconium abutment according to evidence-based dentistry. Main text: An electronic search was performed. Domestic studies were found using the keywords "zirconia abutments" and "zirconium abutment" in KMbase, KoreaMed, and the National Assembly Library, and international studies were found using the same keywords in PubMed. All identified studies were divided by evidence level from the viewpoint of the research type utilizing the evidence-based review manual. A total of 102 domestic studies (with Korean language) were found, and 9 of these studies were selected. In these nine studies, 3 had evidence level 3 and 6 had evidence level 4. A total of 97 international studies (with English language) were found, and 19 were selected. Among these 19 studies, 5 had evidence level 2 and 7 had evidence level 3, whereas the remainder had evidence level 4. According to the studies, zirconium abutments are mechanically, biologically, and esthetically stable, but the evidence level of these studies is low, and the follow-up duration is no longer than 5 years. Conclusions: All examined studies verified the mechanical stability of zirconium abutments for a period no longer than 5 years. Therefore, a long-term clinical observation is needed. Zirconium abutments are thought to be biologically stable, but they are not superior to titanium abutments. As the esthetic stability of such abutments had a low evidence level in the studies that examined here, a much higher evidence level is needed.

We consider a model estimation and model selection methods for the multi-way contingency table data with non-response or missing values. We also consider hierarchical Bayesian model in order to handle a boundary solution problem that can happen in the maximum likelihood estimation under non-ignorable non-response model and we deal with a model selection method to find the best model for the data. We utilized Bayes factors to handle model selection problem under Bayesian approach. We applied proposed method to the pre-election survey for the 2004 Korean National Assembly race. As a result, we got the non-ignorable non-response model was favored and the variable of voting intention was most suitable.

Multi-Function Display (MFD) of Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH) displays image information(navigation, flight, topographical and maintenance information) delivered from Mission Computer (MC) during flight operation. The abnormal display of MFD such as flickering phenomenon was identified in the system development. It was solved by improving the shielding performance of the DVI cable and changing the DVI cable installation path at the first mass production. However, it was occurred again when the aircraft was operated for one or two years after delivery. It was also identified in the evaluation process of the derivative helicopters. Therefore, a comprehensive review of the aircraft system level has been performed to solve the problem of MFD malfunction at first and then a design improvement plan was derived by improving the DVI cable. In this paper, the causes of MFD anomalies are analyzed and also the process of design improvement are summarized. The validity of the improvement has been verified through the DVI cable assembly comparison test, SIL/ground/flight test.
