Various parametric methods, Larson-Miller (L-M), Orr-Sherby-Dorn (O-S-D), Manson-Haferd (M-H) parameters, and minimum commitment method (MCM), were used to predict longer rupture time from short-term creep data. A number of the creep data were collected through literature surveys and experimental data produced in KAERI for predicting the creep type of type 316LN SS. Polynomial equations for predicting the creep life were obtained by the time-temperature parameters (TTP) and the MCM. standard error (SE) and standard error or mean (SEM) values were compared for the each method with temperatures. The TTP methods were good in the creep-life prediction, but the MCM was much superior to the TTP ones at $700^{\circ}C\;and\;750^{\circ}C$. The MCM was found to be lower in the SE values compared to the TTP methods

In the 1960s, polluted urban streams were covered and paved in concrete. Rivers became sewers buried under road. As a result, wildlife habitat was lost and the open stream space was gone. In the 1990s, there was a movement for restoring urban streams to enhance the quality of life of inhabitants. Chungkye Stream, whose covering began from early 1950s and ended in 1977, is now in the process of restoration together with the Central Business District (CBD) Redevelopment Plan. However, as the construction proceeds, several problems were raised, and serious controversies resulted. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the validity of the approach of the Chungkye Stream Restoration Project through a literature survey and a site survey, and to present the improved alternative. Ultimately, the study aims to contribute to present references or guidelines for similar urban stream restoration projects. The Chungkye Stream Restoration Project has some of the following problems. First, the construction should be done based on the long-term urban redevelopment plan. Second, the construction period should be extended to restore urban streams. Third, the cultural asset conservation plan should be implemented. In order to fulfill the anticipated purpose, the above mentioned problems need to be solved.
Purpose: Existing precedent studies include success factors of individual management innovation activities constantly. Purpose. This study aims to explore Situations and Problems of the Community Senior Citizen Center as the senior health care and the Elderly's Leisure status. Then, aims to arrange Activation Vitalization Plan of the senior's leisure in Community Senior Citizen Center. Methods. The literature and data used in this study was based on a questionnaire survey, mostly from Gyeongki-Do Community Senior Citizen Center Branch and statistical research data. Literature review and analysis frequency was by reference to the paperback and academic papers related to the senior health welfare. Results. First, the period of the seniors with the Community Senior Citizen Center as health facilities has appeared in 6-10years(32.8%), followed by the response showing that more than 10years(32.4%). Therefore, it reveals that the senior live in the same region in the long term. Second, the number of days that the senior health care the Community Senior Citizen Center has been used by the senior was over 5days. This result was supported by 608people(61.7%). Both men and women replied that they use the health center more than five days. Third, the number of the senior who responded that they use the Community Senior Citizen Center as health facilities 629people(63.9%). They replied that they use the facilities mostly afternoon. The senior use the facilities all day appeared to 263people(26.7%). Conclusions. It seems like that there needs to be a variety of personalized programs that can be added to increase the life satisfaction of the senior participation in leisure programs for the Community Senior Citizen Center as senior health facilities in the future. Additionally, the government needs to require a wide range of financial support for the Community Senior Citizen Center as senior health care and devise the strategies that will lead the health center for the senior need to be actively utilized.
The concept of "modernism" has always posed problems in definition from the beginnings of "early-modernism" to our age of post-modernism and multi-culturalism. And yet, the concept has been consistently aligned with the search for new paradigms of thinking about "modernity" as the age experiences it. In this sense, this study tries to explain the meaning of the term "modern," why it still matters in the study of literature, and how to apply it to the examination of Kim Soo-Young′s poems. Kim is one of the leading poets who understood the importance of modernism in the development of Korean modern poetry. But, despite his dedication to the western literary style and modernism, Kim also attempted the renewal of traditional Confucian thought in his poems. The result of such efforts can be seen in poems such as "Difficulties of Confucius ′Everyday Life," in which Kim tries to juxtapose the ancient life of Confucius with life in a much-westernized modern Korea. Another poem "Grass" shows his eagerness to transform traditional eastern aesthetics into a new mode of thinking that encompasses both the influence of the west and changes in 20th-century Korea. Through the study of Kim′s poems in relation to the critical reception of modernism in Korea, we can conclude the following: that Kim led the modernist movement in Korea; that modernism still matters in post-modern Korean literature; and that, because Kin tried to bring together the ideas of western modernism and traditional Confucianism, his poetry not only spoke to his own time but speaks also to our multi-cultural age.
The literature suggested that a small reduction in overall blood pressure can have a large effect on overall prevalence of hypertension, and therefore, the affect of taste preferences of the population on salt intake should be considered for long-term blood pressure intervention programs. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of salt taste preference and salt taste sensitivity on salt intake behavior as risk factors for high blood pressure. We collected information on blood pressure, diet and lifestyle behaviors, salt taste preference and salt taste sensitivity from 540 respondents from Suseo-dong, Seoul. Salt taste sensitivity was assessed by administering a 1% NaCl solution to the subject's tongue and measuring the perceived intensity on 10 level scale. Salt intake behavior was classified into 3 categories: frequency of high-sodium foods, practice of salt-reducing behavior and frequency of vegetable and fruit intake. Salt taste preference showed a significant relation to the subjects' blood pressure, i.e. subjects with a higher salt preference had higher blood pressure. Salt taste sensitivity did not show a significant relation to blood pressure. However, there was a positive correlation between salt taste preference and salt taste sensitivity. Among the 3 indicators used to measure salt intake behavior, the practice of salt-reducing behavior remained significantly correlated to blood pressure. Moreover, salt-reducing behavior and salt taste preference showed a significant correlation, i.e. people who do not like salty foods tend to practice more salt-reducing behavior, leading to reduced levels in blood pressure. In a population, a small reduction in overall blood pressure can have large effects in overall prevalence of hypertension, in contrast to clinical studies where achievement of an individual's normal blood pressure is emphasized. Therefore, taste preference of the population should be considered for long-term blood pressure intervention programs.

The use of IVUS provides information about the lumen and arterial wall, the location and extent of atherosclerotic plaque and the state of the arterial wall after PCi. The use of IVUS after insertion of an intracoronary stent has currently increased, while conflicting evidence exists concerning the long-term benefits of IVUS. We report here on a case of surgical removal of an entrapped and fractured IVUS catheter during insertion of intracoronary stents, and we include a review of the relevant literature.
Diaspora studies has become one of the fastest growing field in the humanities over the past several decades, and the use of term diaspora has been widening to include almost any population on the move. Diaspora literature not only mirrors but actively incorporates this new notion of diaspora with characters "at the threshold" navigating new territories and identities. Querying how diaspora studies intersects with theatre and performance, this paper attempts to probe how recent Korean American drama parallels and promotes diaspora studies' radical departure from traditional notions of identities and territories. For this purpose, this essay 1) examines theoretical affinities between diaspora studies and performance studies 2) investigates how Sung Rno's plays, Cleveland Raining and wAve, explore and embody multiple and evolving meanings of Korean diaspora on the stage 3) examines how theatre can create the third space that transcends both Korean and American nationalism and 4) speculates possibilities of reframing Asian American Studies as Asian diaspora studies. Korean American characters in Rno's play redirect diasporic identities, as their concern gradually moves from "where I come from" to "where I go to." Instead of remaining in the dark as a mere spectator, both Rno and his characters choose to be 'on' the stage where they can imagine, perform, and realize (however temporarily) "unimaginable community" by confronting their own social, political, and cultural ambivalence. Stage, the threshold between reality and fiction, Korea and America, and past and future, becomes their true 'home' where they incubate and precipitate "nation in transformation" that Yan Haiping argues for as "another transnational."

Objectives: This study aimed to verify the classification of atopic dermatitis into the digestive and respiratory disorder on the basis of a literature study. Methods: We searched for the term "atopic dermatitis" in KISS, RISS, NDSL, DBPIA, and OASIS. On further filtering the searched paper further by including the terms "Korean medicine", "literature study" and excluding "acupuncture", we found eight papers relevant to the literature study of atopic dermatitis. The reviewed papers included keywords of Oriental medicine such as Sub-yeol (濕熱), Bi-heo (脾虛), Poong-sub (風濕), Hyeol-heo (血虛). We classified keywords as "digestive system" or "respiratory system" and compared the clinical symptoms of classified Each category keywords. Results: Atopic dermatitis was classified into four categories : acute digestive disorder, chronic digestive disorder, acute respiratory disorder, and chronic respiratory disorder. The four categories of atopic dermatitis showed differences based on region, dermal symptoms, associated symptoms, and affected age group. Conclusions and Discussions: This study suggests a new theory of Atopic dermatitis classification. The theory is similar to that stated in former classification; however, it focuses on the digestive and respiratory disroder. All of atopic dermatitis into digestive disorder show both digestive symptoms and dermal symptoms. However, atopic dermatitis into respiratory disorder shows only respiratory symptoms. Thus, this study can establish a relationship between Western and Oriental medicine's study of atopic dermatitis using keywords such as "digestive disorder" and "respiratory disorder".
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is characterized by a life-long chronic course with remissions and exacerbations. Use of biological therapies may reduce or delay the surgical procedures in patients with UC. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of infliximab (IFX) use on the rate of remission, surgical interventions, and the effect on quality of life in patients with moderate to severe UC. Literature was searched for studies that investigated the efficacy of IFX on the rate of remission, colectomy and quality of life (QoL) between January 1990 and June 2012 at MEDLINE, January 1988 and June 2012 at EMbase and others. Eleven trials were included in the meta-analysis; divided into placebo controlled 8 trials and intravenous corticosteroid controlled group 3 trials. In comparison to placebo control groups, patients who received IFX had an odds ratio (OR) of 3.712 (95% CI: 2.714, 5.079) for the short-term clinical remission, and 3.053 (95% CI: 2.044, 4.559) for the rate of long-term remission. In colectomy rate and quality of life (QoL), odds ratio were 0.566(95% CI: 0.387, 0.827) and 0.658 (0.505, 0.811) respectively. Any adverse reactions including infections, infusion reaction, rash and arthralgia were equivalent in both groups. Compared with intravenous corticosteroid controlled group, patients who received IFX had lower remission rate with short-term odds ratio 0.227 (95% CI: 0.033, 1.556) and long-term odds ratio 1.054 (95% CI: 0.317, 3.502) respectively. However, statistical significance was not showed with both two analyses. The higher adverse drug reaction (ADR) rates were occurred in the corticosteroid controlled groups. 73.3% of patients treated corticosteroid reported Cushing-like syndrome with moon face. In conclusion, IFX does increase remission rate and decrease the rate of colectomy in patients with UC without elevating any adverse reactions significantly. IFX also improves QoL in moderate to severe UC patients. It would not exceed the efficacy of intravenous corticosteroid, whereas intravenous corticosteroid also reported high rate of adverse reactions.
