본 연구에서는 한국과학기술정보연구원에서 구축중인 한국과학기술인용색인을 바탕으로 국내 주요 과학기술계 학술지에 수록된 연구 논문을 중심으로 연구자들의 인용현황을 분석하였다. 또한 기계공학 분야를 실험 대상으로 선정하여 현재 SCI의 기계공학 분야의 인용 순위와 비교한 결과 SCI의 JCR과는 실질적인 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 국내 연구자에게 분야별 필수적인 연구 정보원의 제공과 국내 기관별, 분야별 과학기술 수준을 파악하고 평가하기 위한 도구로서 활용이 가능한 한국인용색인데이터베이스의 효율적인 구축방안 및 서비스모델을 제안한다.

본 연구에서는 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)에서 구축한 한국과학기술인용색인(KSCI) 데이터베이스를 이용하여 연구자들의 인용현황을 분석하였다. 그리고 세계적으로 가장 널리 이용되고 있는 TS사의 JCR방식으로 영향력 지표와 즉시성 색인을 생성하여 이를 분석하였다. 산출된 영향력 지표와 즉시성 색인을 2002년도 JCR 지표와 비교하였고, 이를 근거로 한국과학기술인용색인(KSCI) 데이터베이스의 필요성 및 국내학술지 평가를 위한 새로운 모델을 제시하였다.

The KJC and KCI services operated by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) need to refer to the global citation index database to set the service direction that researchers want and develop new functions. Therefore, in this study, the usability of Korea's KJC and KCI web databases was evaluated. In addition, FGI verification was performed for a group of experts on KJC and KCI improvement measures derived by academic information experts. The evaluation committee consisted of the researcher group, the society related group, the publisher (academic information distribution organization) group, and the policy-making organization group. A total of 16 experts performed usability evaluation and service improvement proposals for KJC and KCI services. As a result of usability evaluation of KJC and KCI web database using SUS measurement tool, KJC service was evaluated as 73.44, and KCI service was evaluated as good as 64.38. KJC improvement proposals were evaluated positively with 4 points or more for all improvement items, and KCI improvement proposals were positively evaluated with 3.5 points or more for all improvement items. Overall, KJC and KCI error improvements were evaluated with a score of 4 or more, showing strong affirmations. In the future, it is hoped that the improvement proposals and improvements proposed in this study will be applied to the development of KJC and KCI services, so that more quality services will be used by domestic researchers.

Citing literature is a very important activity for scholars in writing articles. Many publishers and libraries build citation databases and provide citation reports on scholarly journals. Cited-by linking is a service representing what an article cites and how many times it cites a specific article within a journal database. Recently, information services based on DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) have been increasing in number. CrossRef, a non-profit organization for the DOI registration agency, maintains the DOI system and provides the cited-by linking service. Recently, the number of Korean journals adopting DOI is also rapidly increasing. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) supports Korean learned societies in DOI related activities in collaboration with CrossRef. This study analyzes cited patterns of Korean DOI journal articles using CrossRef's cited-by linking data and a Korean journal citation database. This analysis has been performed in terms of publication country and the language of journals citing Korean journal articles. The results show that DOI, SCI(E) (Science Citation Index (Expanded)), and English journals are more likely to be cited internationally.

과학기술분야 학술지에 대한 인용색인 DB구축과 서비스는 중요하다. 대표적인 인용색인 DB로는 SCI가 있으며 전 세계적으로 활용되고 있다. 국내 학술지 대부분이 SCI 대상 학술지가 아니므로 한국 내 과학기술분야 학술지에 대한 계량분석 및 성과평가가 불가능한 현실이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대안이 한국과학기술인용색인서비스(KSCI)이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 KSCI 서비스를 전면 개편한 KSCI 신규버전 서비스에 대하여 이용자 만족도 조사를 실시하여 수집된 결과를 분석하고 현재 시스템의 수준과 향후 개선방향을 도출하였다.

This paper introduces the Korea Citation Index (KCI) and also some macro statistics of KCI. KCI started service since 2008 by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), but the data has been gathered from 1998. Our findings are as follows: heavy reliance on books in humanities, but papers as the main reference in all other disciplines. Impact factor is an increasing trend in all disciplines. Social science has the highest impact factor among all fields. In some fields even in science and engineering areas, there are more KCI papers than Korean JCR papers and impact factors of the KCI are higher than JCR. As for the distinction between nationally and internationally fields or journals, some disciplines in social science are clearly nationally oriented. NSE journals listed in both KCI and JCR, however, are not clear in terms of impact factor, but clear in terms of the numbers of papers.

이 연구에서는 자관의 학술지 상호인용 및 동시인용 분석을 통하여 단순 피인용빈도 이상의 학술지 인용 패턴 분석을 시도 하였다. 이 연구를 통해 학술지의 중요도 파악에 있어서 자관 인용 네트워크의 구조적 분석이 인용빈도 이상의 자관 인용 패턴에 대한 설명을 하고 있는지와, Web of Science에서 제공하는 JIF 이외의 일반적 인용 지수 서비스들을 고려해야 할 필요성이 있는지를 살펴보았다. Y대학교 생명시스템대학 생명공학과 전.현직 교수진이 2006년과 2007년에 발표한 학술논문의 인용 네트워크 분석 및 Web of Science 이외의 일반적 인용 지수들간의 관계를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자관의 상호인용 네트워크를 통해 자관의 연구 분야를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 자관의 동시인용 네트워크 지수들은 자관 인용 네트워크의 구조적 속성을 반영하는 인용 패턴의 설명이 가능하며 이는 피인용빈도와 유사하면서도 추가적인 설명력을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 일반적 인용지수로는 JIF 외에도 합산지향지수, h-index와 같은 다양한 일반적 인용 지수들의 설명력이 다양하므로 이를 이용하여 다각적으로 고려하는 것이 필요한 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 학술지 평가에서 인용 색인 데이터베이스의 수록범위보다는 지수의 유형에 따른 설명력 차이가 크다는 것을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 자관의 인용 네트워크 분석은 정보서비스의 여러 분야에서 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Objectives: This study is prepared to understand the past of the KJHSM (Korean Journal of Health Service Management), to analyze the papers in the KJHSM, to identify the research trends during 2007~2018, and to help the future development of research. Methods: The data for the objectives was collected major KCI index and key words of the articles in KCI web site. Results: The KJHSM has good performaces that KCI IF(2 year) is 0.98, Centrality Index(3 Year) is 1.188, Immediacy index is 0.19, and Self Citation Rate(2 Year) is 25.81. Conclusions: In order to improve the academic quantity and quality in the KSHSM, we will need the vision to corporate and participate through more good research results and performance with desirable ethic value.

TS사(구 ISI)의 SCI는 최근 들어 우리나라에서 학술적 성과를 반영하는 지표로 선호되고 있다. 국내에서도 일부 기관이 국내 문헌의 인용색인 데이터베이스 구축을 본격적으로 진행하고 있다. 이들 국내 사업의 구축결과가 제대로 결실을 맺기 위해서는, TS사의 SCI 영향력지수가 가지는 한계점을 인식하고 이를 보완하거나 대체하는 다양한 지표를 검토해야 한다. 이 연구에서는 국내 인용색인 데이터베이스가 가진 가능성을 최대한 활용하기 위해서 적용가능한 다양한 지표를 실제 사례와 함께 검토하였다.

Korean researchers' scientific outputs are increasing rapidly with the growth of both Korea's economy and industry size. This is the time to analyze the scientific output (STEM area) of Korea over the last 40 years. For this analysis, this study used the SCIE database of Web of Science (WoS), which is a representative global Citation Index Service. The objects of analysis are every Korean document published in the SCIE journal, and the research scopes are (1) analysis of citation and subject categories and (2) analysis of co-authorship. Through this study, characteristics such as cited trend and research trend by subject, and the status of collaboration between Korea and other countries including the 50 states of the USA were revealed.
