This case study examines two drama specialists' perspectives on the purpose of drama education and how their visions and beliefs are reflected in their drama practices during a sixweek kindergarten drama program. Two experienced drama specialists who have worked at public elementary schools located in the Midwestern United States were the main participants of this case study. Using a qualitative case study method, in-depth observations and semistructured interviews were carried out. Findings show that the drama specialists believed the purpose of drama education to be the building of self-confidence, creativity, awareness of the arts and respect for others. Both congruent and inconsistent relations between their beliefs and their teaching practices were observed. Based on these findings, an understanding of how specialists' beliefs and practices contribute to a broader understanding of drama education is further discussed.

This study attempts to apply process drama in teaching Korean speaking. For that goal, the first part of the study introduces the main features of process drama exploring the possible use of teaching Korean speaking, and the second part presents a concrete example of developing a unit of the Sejong intermediate Korean conversation coursebook which was designed using a process drama method. Process drama is a process-oriented drama activity which progresses only with the teacher and students' spontaneous participation. With its unique meaning-oriented interaction paradigm, it has been suggested as an effective way of teaching and learning a foreign language. Since it emphasizes students' spontaneity, cooperation, and authentic communication, it commonly provides plenty of opportunities for students to interact in a meaningful context. Despite its effectiveness in teaching speaking, it has rarely been used in KFL contexts. Considering the limited opportunities to practice speaking in KFL classrooms, using a communication-rich activity such as process drama would be an optimal solution. This study, therefore, examines possible application of process drama in teaching Korean speaking, and introduces sample speaking materials designed for KFL intermediate learners.

The thesis is to look for the method of applying process drama for bilingual education in multicultural society. This purpose can be resolved in three steps: first, to understand the purposes and functions of education changing to multicultural society; second, to survey the need of bilingual education conformed to its purposes and functions; last, to understand the theoretical background of process drama and seek the method of utilizing it to bilingual education. Recently, the Korean society is also changing to multicultural society with international marriages and immigrant workers. But they have difficulties in communicating in Korean, and their children have even the same. Under the basis of multiculturalism wanting peace and mutual respect between cultural groups, they have to be educated in equality. This is why the bilingual education is needed in our society. Process drama, a widely used term for educational drama in Britain, claims its effectiveness for L1, L2 and bilingual education, for the principal medium in drama is language and what drama delivers is related to meaningful human experiences. It is also supported on script theory of linguistic therapy. Kase-Polisini classifies the developmental process of education drama into 1) planning, 2) playing and 3) evaluation. This process can be applied to educational drama for language as well. Rather, educational drama applying to bilingual education has even more availability with the varieties of group organization and subject matter. Conclusively speaking, the group of dual language schools can be organized into 1) mother-tongued group, 2) mother-tongued and L2 group, 3) multilingual group, or 4) L3 group in educational drama activity, as the class generally consist of the mixed multilingual children. And the subject matter can deal with 1) the Korean society and culture, 2) the society and culture of the purposed language country, or 3) the society and culture of the third nations.

한국드라마가 높은 인기를 얻고 있으나 그 시청자들에 대한 연구가 적은 동남아시아 지역을 대상으로 한국드라마 시청동기와 일반적인 태도, 그리고 한국 국가이미지 간의 관계를 조사하였다. 특히 이 지역에서 광범위하게 퍼져있는 온라인 동영상 시청 실태를 감안하여 한국드라마를 온라인으로 시청한 경험이 있는 시청자들을 선별해 분석했다. 그 결과, 베트남의 경우 오락/휴식 동기가, 필리핀은 배우동경 동기가 가장 강력한 한국드라마 시청동기로 나타났다. 또한, 한국드라마에 대한 일반적인 태도에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 동기로 오락/휴식과 배우동경 동기가 두 국가에서 공통적으로 나타났고, 습관적 시청 동기는 한국드라마에 대한 태도에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그리고 한국드라마 시청자들이 가진 한국드라마에 대한 긍정적인 태도는 한국에 대한 긍정적인 국가이미지를 형성하는데 영향을 주고 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 성과와 의미, 한계점을 기술하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze TV drama clothes that is reflected in domestic TV fashion style. Frist of all, luxiry look is one of drama cloth's signiture look. It takes a imported brand wear and a high price accessories. Especially, the hero and heroine of the drama 'Fine lady' wear imported brand jacket and a accessories as earrings, shoes and bags are in fashion. Also the hero of the drama 'The room of a roofiop's cat' wear Armani shirts and Kenzo suits. Second, nowadays sportive look is one of fashion trend and young people's representative look. The drama 'The room of a rooftop's cat' has define trends when it comes to training wear. And the training wear is a big hit because of drama 'The room of a rooftop's cat' hero and heroine. Third, utility look shows a practical wear and comfortable wear The utility look's items is shirring T-shirt, cargo pants and jeans. In addition to that drama's hero and heroine make a lots of fashion. The hero of drama 'Winter sonata' of hair style and matching muffler is in fashion. Also TV drama's fashion is a potent influence.

Drama CD는 One source multi use의 한 사례로써 다양한 콘텐츠 사업이 잘 연계되어 있는 일본에서는 이미 널리 활용되고 있는 콘텐츠이며 그에 따라 수익창출도 상당한 수준이다. 일본에 이웃한 한국에도 일본의 Drama CD가 영향을 미쳐, Drama CD가 발표되어왔고 일반 드라마 제작 이전의 테스트 베드로써 활용하는 수준까지 이르고 있다. 그러나 한국 콘텐츠 분야에서 Drama CD의 마켓 쉐어는 아직 그 입지가 크지 않으며, 또한 자체적인 잠재력에 비해 오락적 요소로서만 한정되어 활용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 Drama CD가 한국 시장에 One source multi use의 한 사례로써 Educational Content를 중심으로 가능성이 있는지에 대해 알아보고, 이와 함께 Drama CD를 활용할 수 있는 Educational Content 사업분야와 시장성에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and conduct effective schemes to direct drama activities for three-year-old children and to examine its influence on them. This research subjects comprised 23 three-year-old children and 2 teachers attending classes at Gureum at SanDeul kindergarten in Seoul, Korea. The researcher first recognized that problems existed in the ways in which children's leading roles were limited by the actor's roles themselves and they therefore were constrained in their use of dramatic expressions while performing drama activities. The researcher also recognized that children's drama activities integrated with traditional culture were largely deficient. For more effectively direction of children's drama activities, action research method was conducted over two sessions. First, certain factors of plays and traditional culture were incorporated within children's drama activities. Second, certain factors of Madangguk and traditional culture were also incorporated within children's drama activities. Through undertaking this research project, children were given the opportunity to actively participated in drama activities, trained their range of imaginative expressions, improved their cooperation with peers and enhanced their interest in traditional culture. The research suggests that children's drama activities when integrated with plays and Madangguk could effectively enhance children's artistic and educational skill.

2000년대 이후의 한국 드라마는 새로운 서사적 가능성을 지속적으로 실험하고 있다. 특히 최근의 한국 드라마에는 다양한 양태의 혼종과 혼합, 그리고 변형의 시도가 나타난다. 그러므로 본 연구는 2010년대애 대중적으로 성공한 드라마를 통해 문학과 드라마의 통섭을 검토하고자 한다. 본 연구는 김은숙 작가의 <쓸쓸하고 찬란하신(神) 도깨비>와 <신사의 품격>을 통해 드라마 내에서 문학 텍스트가 어떻게 활용되며, 이로써 어떠한 서사적, 영상적 효과를 얻어내는가를 세밀히 검토한다. 이 두 편의 드라마는 한국 내에서 대중적으로 성공한 드라마일 뿐만 아니라, 문학 텍스트를 드라마 내에서 적극적으로 활용하고 있어 문학과 드라마 통섭을 해석하는 데에 중요한 시사점을 제시한다. 이는 문학이 드라마와 통섭하는 주요한 장면을 해석하고, 그 의의를 파악하는 과정이다. 이 연구를 통해 드라마라는 영상 텍스트가 문자 텍스트의 한 부분을 차용하고, 그 물질성으로서의 '책'을 활용함으로써 스토리텔링의 효과를 얻어내는 과정을 해석한다. 이로써 다양한 장르가 하나의 영상 텍스트 내에 혼합되고 병치되는 양상과 그 효과를 확인하게 될 것이다.

본 논문은 한국 학교교육에 있어서 새로운 예술 교과목으로 언급되는 '연극'과목의 올바른 학교 내 정착화를 위하여, 세계에서 체계적 교육시스템을 갖추고 있는 독일 연극교육을 객관적 모델 삼아 관련내용을 다룬다. 이를 위해 본 글에서는 우선적으로 독일학교와 연극교육의 역사적 상호관계에 대한 분석이 이뤄지고, 2009년 독일의 교육개혁 정책시행 이후 독일학교 연극교육의 정착화과정과 연극수업의 방향성과 특징들이 언급된다. 이러한 연구배경에는 현 한국학교 교육에서 요구되는 창의력 증대와 융합(통합)교육 제시를 위해 연극교육이 적합하다는 사실을 직, 간접적으로 증명하고, 앞으로의 한국 문화예술교육 정책적 방향성 구축에 도움을 주고자하는 목적이 담겨 있다.

This study aims to illustrate the value of teaching English drama in the course of teaching primary English and suggests a model for primary English drama in an English camp for Children. Drama is the world of assumption where language is used just like in real life. It has a positive effect on foreign language learning by encouraging the operation of certain psychological factors which facilitate oral communication. Dramatic techniques such as storytelling, role play, chant, song and games can be used in the EFL classroom to help bring about such results. Meanwhile, making a primary English drama in an English camp for Children would be practical mode to attain the essential purpose of EFL teaching particularly to get over the drawbacks of Korean students' communicative competence under the school's inflexible EFL education curriculum. In this paper, I will present the effectiveness of English drama and the skills for using it with ESL students and suggest some notes that can be used to reinforce the goals set out from the position of the teacher, student and teaching material. It is confirmed that the trained leader, students' affirmative attitude and systematic teaching materials are needed to maximize the effects of drama activities. In addition to that, there will be showed a model of instruction targeted to the primary students learning English in an English camp for Children.
