This study examined the storytelling characteristics of the super-compressed web drama "72 seconds". By analyzing all seasonal episodes of "72 seconds" and applying the various storytelling methodologies and related theories, this paper derived the main storytelling characteristics of "72 seconds" as follows. First, through the composition of the microscopic non-plot, the story value of empathy and fun is maximized, even though there is no dramatic composition compared to the general movie or drama. Second, by the specialization of everyday life, it leads to the transition from everyday experience to the new context. In other words, it provides a consensus through the cognitive expansion and interest by unfamiliarity of the ordinary experience to the audience. Third, based on the characteristics of super-compression and short theme, it utilizes fully stylistic narration like rapping. This makes the audience feel novel and further enhances the branding effect of content. And finally, based on various hybridity and variation, it uses remediation actively in all respects, especially comedy genre and comic factor.

이 연구는 사회적 갑을관계, 비정규직, 노동조합, 파업, 임금 등 시의성 있는 사회 이슈를 다룬 웹툰 <송곳>을 원작으로 제작된 드라마 <송곳>의 스토리텔링을 기호학적으로 분석하였다. 먼저 소쉬르가 제시한 계열체, 통합체 개념을 바탕으로 드라마의 서사적 구조와 인물 및 소재의 특성을 파악하였다. 나아가 드라마가 사회적 이슈를 어떠한 방식으로 재현하는지, 어떠한 담론 요소를 구성하는지 알아보고자 작품 속에 투영된 이데올로기를 고찰하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 비판적 다원주의(Critical Pluralism) 접근방식으로서 기존의 지배 이데올로기를 비판하는 저항 이데올로기가 강하게 드러났다. 둘째, 성역할, 영웅, 가족 이데올로기와 같은 고전적 이데올로기를 강화하였다. 마지막으로 자기이해와 상호이해, 이기적 편향 등의 인간 성찰적 이데올로기가 확인되었다.

본 연구는 대표적인 프로젝트 기반 조직의 형태인 한국 TV 드라마 제작 프로젝트를 대상으로 하여 핵심 인적 자원들 간의 관계적 특성이 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 구체적으로는 사회 네트워크 이론을 기반으로 약한 연결과 강한 연결의 네트워크 성격이 가진 특성과 효용을 검토하고 TV 드라마 제작에 참여하는 핵심 인적 자원들 간의 관계적 특성에 있어서 '더 좋은 연결'의 성격을 파악해보고자 하였다. 실증분석 결과, 핵심 인적 자원인 PD-작가, PD-남자배우, PD-여자배우 간 관계적 특성에 있어서는 약한 연결이 강한 연결보다 높은 시청성과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 프로젝트 기반 조직의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 전략 논의에 있어 핵심 인적 자원들의 역할과 이들 간 협력 관계의 특성이 필수적으로 고려되어야 함을 시사하고 있다.

In this paper, I will pursue initial ideas I formulated in 2012 about the permeation of Korean influences in Philippine popular culture, particularly in the production of serialized TV drama/soap operas or the "teleserye" [tele for television + "serye" or series; thus, TV drama series]. I called the phenomenon the "Korean Turn" as I observed the emulation of Korean televisual drama (nowadays called K-Drama) modes and practices by local production through various means of cultural appropriation. This time, I will expand my exploration to other aspects of Philippine entertainment and other cultural practices. I will also update my observations on the continuing "Korean turn" in the teleserye. I will argue, on the one hand, about the success and soft power of hallyu or the "Korean wave" in the Philippines; and on the other, about Philippine culture's enduring ingenuity in its reception and repurposing of hallyu. Ideas to be yielded here will form part of a potential framework in understanding the dynamics of the interface between Korean and Philippine cultures, in the context of globalization. I assert that popular culture remains to be an undervalued field of inquiry, as far as these contexts are concerned.

이 글은 1979년 MBC의 6·25 특집극 <최후의 증인>을 분석하여 1970년대에 추리와 전쟁이 어떤 상관관계를 맺고 있는지를 분석하려 한다. 전쟁의 기억을 전유하려는 국가의 기획과 이를 새로운 방식으로 전유하려는 제작주체의 의도, 그리고 시청자들이 브라운관을 통해 드라마를 수용하는 맥락에 대한 종합적인 이해를 통해 텔레비전의 시대로 전진하는 1970년대의 굴절을 특집극에서 찾으려 한다. 이를 위해 소설 『최후의 증인』과 1979년 방송된 6·25 특집극 <최후의 증인>을 주요 텍스트로 삼아 김성종의 추리가 텔레비전드라마로 각색되는 양상을 살펴보려 했다. 본고가 분석대상으로 삼은 6·25 특집극 <최후의 증인>은 예술성과 목적성을 동시에 갖춘 수준 높은 특집극을 제작하기 위한 기획의 산물이었다. 하지만 텔레비전 시청이 여가의 중요한 수단으로 자리 잡게 되면서 텔레비전드라마 시청의 핵심적인 이유가 되면서 시청자의 즐거움을 위해 고안된 자극적이고 선정적인 서사들이 정권의 입장에서는 장애물로 인식되었다. 주지하다시피 특집극은 일일극 위주의 텔레비전드라마 시장에 예술성과 목적성을 함께 충족시키기 위해 고안된 예술형식이다. 제작주체가 추진하던 예술적인 드라마와 시청자들이 요구하던 즐거운 드라마의 충돌은 역동적인 소통의 장을 형성한다. 이 과정에서 특집극은 본래 기획을 포괄하는 동시에 시청자들의 즐거움을 충족시키기 위해 구성된 새로움은 국민총화의 의도를 아득히 벗어나기도 했다. 추리과정을 시각적으로 형상화하는 방식으로 고안된 수사드라마는 시대적 리얼리티를 담보하는 새로운 가능성이 되기도 했지만 본래의 의도를 상실한 저속한 문화의 표본으로 지적되었다는 점에서 역설적인 존재와도 같았다. 그렇게 보자면 한국 대중예술에서 유독 힘을 쓰지 못했다고 여겨졌던 추리물은 1970년대에 이르러 한국 텔레비전드라마와 조우하며 수용자들에게 적지 않은 영향력을 발휘했다는 사실을 기억할 필요가 있다. 모든 장르물이 그러하겠지만 장르를 구성하는 다양한 요소들은 이식과 수용의 과정을 거친 형태로 수용자와 대면하게 된다. 주지하다시피 한국에서 추리는 반공, 수사와 결합을 거듭하면서 자신의 고유한 양식을 형성해냈다. 이러한 결합의 양상은 <최후의 증인>의 각색 과정에서 선택과 배제된 요소들을 통해 자연스럽게 장르적 정체성을 형성하는 방식에서 확인할 수 있다. 결론적으로 특집극 <최후의 증인>은 1970년대 내내 반공과 수사를 통해 형성된 텔레비전드라마의 추리가 범죄로 이동해가는 경향을 드러낸 중간적인 텍스트라고 볼 수 있다. 결국 이 글이 도달한 결론은 추리라는 특정한 장르가 텔레비전드라마와 조우할 때 공적 체제에 대한 신뢰감을 드러내는 한편 즐거움에 대한 정치적 해석을 우회할 수 있는 가능성을 끊임없이 탐색한다는 사실이다. 전쟁의 기억은 사회와 체제의 어두운 이면에 새겨진 불온한 상상을 중화시켜줄 알리바이에 가깝다. 결과적으로 유신정권의 말기에 방송된 <최후의 증인>은 특집극의 논리가 텔레비전의 매체적 특성과 조우한 기이한 결과물인 셈이다. 텍스트에 새겨진 흔적을 쫓아 사회적 담론에 대응하여 대결과 우회를 거듭하며 소통을 시도하던 시청자들의 장르적 욕망은 이제 다시 복원될 필요가 있다.

This study aims to explore the positive impact of Korean drama watching satisfaction on purchase intention for Korean products by considering the mediating roles of social distance to Korea, national image of Korea, and Korean product image. This study identified that Korean drama reduced the social distance to Korea while increasing the positive image of Koreas and Korean products. However, the reduced social distance was not positively associated with Korean product image and Korean product purchase intention. This implies that Korean dramas directly affect Korean product purchase intension and indirectly affect Korean national image and product image. This study supplies guidance to international marketers who aims to enter the Myanmar market. To use the Korean wave as a Korean product marketing tool, marketing strategies need to cover Korean culture-relevant materials such as cultural background, cultural characteristics, exposed products, and so on.

TV 드라마는 타 장르에 비해 시청률과 채널 홍보 효과가 매우 크며, 한류를 통해 산업적 효과와 문화적 영향력을 확인시켜줬다. 따라서, 이와 같은 드라마의 흥행 여부를 예측하는 일은 방송 관련 산업에서 매우 중요한 부분임은 주지의 사실이다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 2003년부터 2012년까지 10년간, 지상파 채널을 통해 방송된, 총 280개의 TV 미니시리즈 드라마를 분석하였다. 이들 드라마 중 평균 시청률 상위 45개, 하위 시청률 45개를 선정하여 흥행 드라마의 시청시간 분포 (5%~100%, 11-Step) 모형을 만들었다. 이들 기준 모형과 신규 드라마의 시청시간 분포와의 이격 거리를 Euclidean/Correlation으로 측정한 유사도(Similarity)를 통해, 시청자의 초기(1~5회) 시청시간 분포로 신규 드라마의 성패 여부를 예측하는 모델을 만들었다. 또한 총 방송 시간 중 70% 이상 시청한 시청자를 열혈 시청층(이하 열혈층) 으로 분류하고, 상위/하위 드라마의 평균값과 비교하여, 신규 드라마의 흥행여부를 판별할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 연구 결과 드라마의 초반 시청자 충성도(시청시간)는 드라마의 대흥행 여부를 예측하는데 중요한 요소임을 밝혔으며, 최대 75.47%의 확률로 대흥행 드라마의 탄생을 예측할 수 있었다.

The present study explored the reception and consumption processes of a Korean audience's viewing of local and international television dramas. Findings indicated that the influential factors on the level of viewing in regards to Korean, American, and Japanese TV dramas among Korean viewers differed. In particular, a significant difference was found in terms of perceived drama characteristics. Applying niche theory, the present study also examined the audience's motivation for watching these television dramas. Results demonstrated that Korean TV dramas possessed the broadest niche breadth and were the most competitive. In a comparison of the perceived characteristics of TV dramas, American drama earned competitive superiority for most characteristics. The implications from the results were discussed in terms of cultural discount and proximity.

For bringing about a revolution in studying the classic literature the positivism must be overcome and the imaginative power about the history, literature and religion must be exercised. The theme of the monk-mask-play had been interpreted from the both viewpoint; the traditional mask play is the profane drama, but, on the other hand, it is the sacred drama. Judging from the social viewpoint, the sexual union of the old monk and the beauty symbolizes the reconciliation between the governing class and the production class. Judging from the viewpoint of the equalitarianism, that symbolizes the harmony of a masculinity and a femininity. Judging from the viewpoint of the education, that symbolizes the unification of reason and sensitivity. Judging from the viewpoint of the religion, that means the resurrection.
