Maximum tolerated dose estimation using continual reassessment method in Phase I Clinical Trial (연속재평가방법에 가속화 단계를 적용한 MTD 추정법)

  • The purpose of a Phase I Clinical Trial is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD). MTD is important because it affects subsequent clinical trials; however, the existing method has a problem due to an inadequate dose allocated to patients. In this paper, an MTD estimation method is proposed to complement the problems of the existing MTD estimation method. The suggested method applies the initial acceleration step to the modified continual reassessment method. Monte Carlo Simulation Study is adapted to compare a suggested MTD estimation method with the standard design and the modified continual reassessment method.

  • In this paper, the Passive Intermodulation Distortion(PIMD) of high power RF Filter is measured with filter inner coating materials and we suggest how to reduced the PIMD of RF filter coating methods. According to the standard measurement regulation by IEC, the Passive Intermodulation Distortion of Wibro relay high power filter are measured. We suggest the coating materials and coating methods of high power filter inner structure to reduce the PIMD generating by insert loss and worse flatness of filter delay in the design of Wibro high power filter efficiently.

  • Game balance is an very important factor for game design, it is necessary factor to make game more fun. Most of game companies have been using their own balance method for successful game development. An efficient balance method always can't guarantee successful game development but it is true for game developer to need standard balance method for efficient game development. Fighting system between characters is mainly implemented in genre including action. Direct balance factors for fighting between characters are their characteristics and attack patterns. In this paper, We identify direct balance factors for game including fighting system between characters and propose mathematical method for it.

  • As the mobile environment has been generalized, data synchronization with mobile devices or mobile device and PC/server is required. To deal with the problem, the consortium was established by the companies, such as Motorola, Ericsson, and Nokia, and released SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language) as a standard of industrial area for interoperating with data synchronization and various transmission protocol. But, in synchronization process, when more than two clients requested data synchronization, data conflict can be happened. This paper studies the various conflict reasons that can happen in data synchronization processes and groups them systematically Through the analyzed information, we compose the Change Log Information(CLI) that can keep track of the chased information about synchronization. And we suggest an operation policy using CLI. Finally, we design an algorithm and adapt the policy as a method for the safety and consistency of data.

  • The vision for MPEG-21 is to define a multimedia framework to enable transparent and augmented use of multimedia resources across a wide range of networks and devices used by different communities MPEG-21 Event Reporting is required within the MPEG-21 Multimedia Framework in order to provide a standardized means for sharing information about Events amongst Peers and Users. There are several Time used in MPEG-21 Event Reporting. In this paper, we analyze and categorize various kinds of Time used in Event Reporting. And we define ERTimeType to be applied for every. Time used in Event Reporting and implement it by XML to support interoperability of standard. The ERTimeType structure we defined is established its objectivity as it is selected to 'ISO/IEC 21000-Part IS: Event Reporting WD 2.0'.

Design and Fabrication of 2D Array Ultrasonic Transducers with a Conductive Backer (전도성 후면층을 이용한 2D 배열 초음파 트랜스듀서의 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, 2D array transducers using a conductive backer similar to 1-3 composites have been designed, fabricated, and evaluated. The conductive backer was based on well known manufacturing process of 1-3 composites with affordable ingredients. The 2D array transducer had 4,096 elements designed to have 3.5 MHz center frequency and a fractional bandwidth over 60 %. Fabricated prototype of the transducer satisfied the specifications in the center frequency and bandwidth. Performance over the entire elements was so uniform that the standard deviation was less than 0.81 dB. Thus applicability of the conductive backer proposed in this work to 2D array transducers was verified.

  • XML has become a standard for exchanging document data on the web. Currently, most of the commercial data are stored in the relational database system. It requires to converse the document into XML form to transfer the data to a relational database system. The purpose of this paper is to research on a query processing system which will make it easy and convenient to raise a query and derive results from the document data stored in a relational database. We have designed a XML view called R2X(Relational To XML). With this R2X view, users can view a relational database as XML documents. Using R2X views, we design and implement a Query processing system which will make it expedient to form a query with a XML query language called XQL.

  • This paper designs and implements wire/wireless web service system based on SOAP for price comparison dynamically using web service technoloies in real time. This web service system composes web service client module including functions of product search, product sort, product order and UDDI retrieval browser, and server module including functions of remote procedure call for product search/order and functions of UDDI publish browser, and mobile client module supporting functions for product search/order in wireless environments. This web service system can exchange product information based on SOAP messages and support independence of platform and flexible portability in environment conforming to SOAP, WSDL and UDDI standards.

  • In this thesis, a RFID baseband system is implemented based on the international standard ISO/IEC 18000-6 Type-B using FPCA, and also anti-collision algorithm is implemented to improve the system performance. We compares the performance of the proposed anti-collision algorithm with that binary tree algorithm and bit-by-bit algorithm, and also validated analytic results using OPNET simulation. The proposed algorithm for Type-B transmission protocol and collision prohibition was designed using ISE7.1i which is a FPGA design-tool of Xilinx and implemented with Spartan2 chip which is a FPGA device.

  • The Spring framework including the MVC design concept is the standard in web development in the JAVA environment. The programming style of the structure must be kept strictly, so every web program is able to employ the same structure. It is convenient to distribute jobs, but there are some side effects, like duplication of code, deterioration of professionalization, and deterioration of program performance. To ameliorate those problems, we propose the horizontality development method(HDM) on Spring MVC. We proved that the HDM can solve the problems through the experiment to keep the MVC structure.
