  • The data model that can be said as skeleton of the information system constitutes important 2 axles in the information system together with the process model. There is entity, properties, relation as key factors of the data model, and entity is the most fundamental factor in the data model, and thus total data model becomes vague if not deriving entity definitely. This study dealt with entity deduction only. Deducing methods of existing entity depended on experiences, task knowledge of designers and clear procedures were not suggested, so there were many difficulties in approaching them from beginners or unskilled persons. For giving helps in solving the problem, this study proposes entity- deducing procedures based on tasks that can derive entity with a systematic process at previously derived target businesses through suggested methods from advancing researches. And the study enabled proposing procedures on imaginary tasks to be applied, objecting to undergraduates who had not experiences on the data modeling, and then verified suggesting process through a similarity checking between best answers with deduced entity by students after taking impossible points of comparing existing methods with suggesting process into consideration. By doing so, deducing entity closely to the best answer was confirmed accordingly. Therefore, a fact could be confirmed that beginners were able to deduce entity closely to the best answer even if letting beginners who had not experiences on the data modeling be applied to unfamiliar tasks. Regarding researches on properties and relation deduction besides entity, this study leaves them to next time.

  • The paper studies spark plasma sintering (SPS) of industrially used UO2-based fuel containing integral fuel burnable absorber (IFBA) of neutrons Gd2O3. Densification dynamics of pristine UO2 powder and the one added with 2 and 8 wt% of Gd2O3 under ultrasonication in liquid has been studied under SPS conditions at 1050, 1250, and 1450 ℃. Effect of sintering temperature on phase composition as well as on O/U stoichiometry has been investigated for UO2 SPS ceramics. Sintering of uranium dioxide added with Gd2O3 yields solid solution (U,Gd)O2, which is isostructural to UO2. SEM with EDX and metallography were implemented to analyze the microstructure of the obtained UO2 ceramics and composite UO2-Gd2O3 one, particularly, open porosity, defects, and Gd2O3 distribution were studied. Microhardness, compressive strength and density were shown to reduce after addition of Gd2O3. Obtained results prove the hypothesis on formation of stable pores in the system of UO2-Gd2O3 due to Kirkendall effect that reduces sintering efficiency. The paper expands fundamental knowledge on pros and cons of fuel fabrication with IFBA using SPS technology.

  • In general, the experienced diver go into the water to find out Pan Shell which is spontaneously generated and brought up at the depth of 25-30 meters in the slime along the bank of an inlet of western and southern sea. However, this searching system has caused some problems in terms of economical efficiency and riskiness of diver. To overcome such problems and enhance the competence capability of fishermen, a new Pan Shell searching system is required. If an onboard searching system as a substitute of the way of diving into the deep water to identify the existence of Pan Shell is developed, it would be greatly beneficial to fishermen. The purpose of this research is to develop a new searching system of Pan Shell by making use of 50-200 Khz Ultra Sonic Signal, A/D Converter and computer process program. Based on the fact that Sonic Signal between the soft part of slime and the hard part of sand, pebble and Pan Shell is different, the possibility of this system have been approved in some degree by this time of research. However, to utilize this new system, further research on the establishment of data base and sample data is required. With the theoretical knowledge, the systematic research on the searching capability of Ultra Sonic Signal will be continued to identify the influence against the sea water subject. In this research, signal will be analyzed according to the influence range, power and sensitiveness of Ultra Sonic Generator. In addition, the radius of Ultra Sonic Signal will be included. The experimental field work will be executed at Nockdong, Pulkyo and other places well known as a habitat of Pan Shell.

  • The Ministry of Education selected and implemented 'science core school' since 2009 as a policy to strengthen science education to produce talented science students. This study judged that it is necessary to examine the current management practice and diagnose problems to propose improvement measures for more successful management of science core school in the future. To this end, we interviewed and observed teachers and students at a high school specialized in science based in Gyeonggi province which was selected as a science core school, as qualitative study methods such as interview and observation to survey and analyze the current management practice of the school. The management outcome was that the school contributed to fostering talented students in natural sciences and engineering because more varied activities were implemented at the school to develop scientific knowledge of students including experiment, excursion, and circle activity. Identified problems were increased amount of private education due to intense competition over school achievement, negligence of extracurricular activities, burdensome workload for teachers of specific subjects, and lack of expertise of math and science teachers. In conclusion, the following improvement measures are suggested for sustainable management of science core schools: greater liberty should be granted to science core schools; more training opportunities should be given to teachers; college admission program should be improved for science core school students; and it is necessary to introduce courses taught by external teachers, and provide systematic support such as increasing administration staff.

  • For the dectection of small cavity in the hard rock, we investigated the feasibility of crosswell travel-time tomography and Kirchhoff migration technique. In travel-time tomography, first arrival anomaly caused by small cavity was investigated by numerical modeling based on the knowledge of actual field information. First arrival delay was very small (<0.125 msec) and detectable receiver offset range was limited to 4m with respect to $1\%$ normalized first arrival anomaly. As a consequence, it was turned out that carefully designed survey array with both sufficient narrow spatial spacing and temporal (<0.03125 msec) sampling were required for small cavity detection. Also, crosswell Kirchhoff migration technique was investigated with both numerical and real data. Stack section obtained by numerical data shows the good cavity image. In crosswell seismic data, various unwanted seismic events such as direct wave and various mode converted waves were alto recorded. To remove these noises und to enhance the diffraction signal, combination of median and bandpass filtering was applied and prestack and stacked migration images were created. From this, we viewed the crosswell migration technique as one of the adoptable method for small cavity detection.

  • In this study, Radial Basis Function(RBF) Neural Networks Model, a kind of Hybrid Neural Networks was applied to hydrological forecasting in a small watershed. RBF Neural Networks Model has four kinds of parameters in it and consists of unsupervised and supervised training patterns. And Gaussian Kernel Function(GKF) was used among many kinds of Radial Basis Functions(RBFs). K-Means clustering algorithm was applied to optimize centers and widths which ate the parameters of GKF. The parameters of RBF Neural Networks Model such as centers, widths weights and biases were determined by the training procedures of RBF Neural Networks Model. And, with these parameters the validation procedures of RBF Neural Networks Model were carried out. RBF Neural Networks Model was applied to Wi-Stream basin which is one of the IHP Representative basins in South Korea. 10 rainfall events were selected for training and validation of RBF Neural Networks Model. The results of RBF Neural Networks Model were compared with those of Elman Neural Networks(ENN) Model. ENN Model is composed of One Step Secant BackPropagation(OSSBP) and Resilient BackPropagation(RBP) algorithms. RBF Neural Networks shows better results than ENN Model. RBF Neural Networks Model spent less time for the training of model and can be easily used by the hydrologists with little background knowledge of RBF Neural Networks Model.

  • The Purpose of this study is analyzed that (l) How the public Libraries under the Japanese Rule since the end of the Yi-Dynasty were recepted and generated by the people and (2) How they were organiged and managed. (3) Also it examined that how they affected the development of the libraries of today. 1. The following are the analyzed results: Three types of the public Libraries under the Japanese Rule for a period of 36 years engaged busily in colonization were Private's Public Libraries, Local Self-Government's Libraries and the Central Governmental Libraries, and were in order established. 2. They were eatablished by individuals, Confucian School Foundation, Young Men's Clubs, School Associations, Korean brethren residing abroad, or The Press Centering around the Local Self-Governments and the Japanese Government-General. 3. In 1932 of the period of the Japanese Rule, the number of Libraies gained the summit and reached 80 Libraries. The Public Libraries including the Central Governmental Libraries remained in existence until the end of the War had been kept up the functions of the Libraries, but the Private Libraries operated by the Koreans were very small and poor. As a result, most of them were closed up and some Libraries transferred their controls to the public. Until the end of the war, only a little over 10 Private Libraries were Kept up. From the aspects of it's organization system, the most of their libraries replaced their chief librarians with non-professional county-headmen or Local supporters. From the aspect of collections, they wate mainly consists of Japanese books for the proper quidance of the public thought based on the ideology of Japanese Rule to Korea and on the industrial promotion rather than books about Koreanology or Western books. At that time, the Library users were with the jobless men and students as the central figures. And the next ranking by the social position of readers was children, farmers, merchants, industrialists, public servants, miscellaneous and educators. Their reading tendencies laid stress on linguistics and literature, physical sciences and medicine, While the reading trend of military sciences and medicine, while the reading trend of military sciences and engineering were very inactive. This was because the Japanese Government-General had not kept the military collections on file. Besides, they were reluctant to make Korean's learn the professional knowledge and so the main reference materials of technology not provited. Most of the Libraries put practiced in circulation services were very important circulation in withinder of the reading room rather than in outside of the Library building. On the other hand, their circulation services has above came with many limitations. As stated above, the public Libraries' managements and activitives under the period of Japanese Rule were the way and means to achive the colonial and imperialistic purpose of the Japanese Empire.
