The purpose of this study is to discuss ′records′ as core resources for knowledge management and to suggests the directions for developing integrated knowledge management systems based records management. This present paper begins with analyzing concept and structure of records in light of knowledge management, and identify the importance of records management in developing knowledge management systems by substituting evidence axis in Upward′s "Records Continuum Model" for knowledge management. And this study tries to identify critical aspects regarding transfer of records to knowledge system by analyzing the level of records. Based on these analyses, it suggests a directions for developing records based-knowledge management systems.

Virtual reality (VR) simulators have been extended to transfer knowledge and education, and demands for exhibition systems for science education and cultural experiences has also increased. Existing VR simulators, which are based on the dynamics equations of motion, cannot easily be adapted to changes in simulation contents. In order to effectively transfer knowledge and maintain interests through educational applications, an experiential system that has multi-sensory effects as well as motion effects is required. In this study, we designed and implemented a motion generation that is tailored to experiential exhibition systems and multi-sensory VR effects. Both the sense of motion which is generated from the movement of the viewpoint of the visual image, and motion effects which are constructed in advance, are applied to motion simulation. Motion effects which occur during interaction between the user and the exhibition system can be easily added. Various sensory cues that are appropriate to the exhibition system are also considered.

This paper investigates a dynamic mechanism underlying the process of knowledge creation and evolution with a focus on the SECI model(standing for Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) as proposed by Nonaka and Takeuchi(1991) and broadly accepted especially among the practitioners in knowledge management field. The SECI model provides with intuitive logic and clear delineation of knowledge types between the tacit and the explicit, and embodies an interaction dynamic. However explanations of the propelling forces for the knowledge transfer over the four quadrants of the model is yet to be made. And the transmission mechanisms are not prescribed though the model mentions knowledge is created and evolved in a spiral process. This paper, therefore attempts first to extend and elaborate it into a dynamic SECI model by identifying those propelling factors and their relationships(linkages) based on the systems thinking.

Maintaining the permanence of a company in the current rapidly changing business environment is not an easy task. Rather, the lifespan of a company can be said to be gradually decreasing. As such, the author of this paper, which describes the current market environment, is the sales organization of a large company. While leading the company, I thought about how to overcome the rapidly changing market and create an organization that continues to grow. As a result, I succeeded in creating an organization that continued to grow over the past two years, and the main activity of this result was the use of sales computer. It was clear that it was an information sharing activity. This can be said to be a result of proving that a series of activities to create and share information is important for the sales organization of ICT companies to actively respond to the rapidly changing market environment. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the relationship between knowledge management and business performance in the sales field of ICT companies, which has not been covered so far. Knowledge management is a four-stage activity from a process perspective, divided into knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge transfer, and knowledge utilization. did. As a result of the study, first, knowledge management activities, such as knowledge creation and knowledge storage, were found to have a significant impact on financial performance. Second, knowledge management activities such as knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge transfer, and knowledge utilization were all found to have an impact on non-financial performance. In the end, this study confirmed that efforts to turn tacit knowledge into knowledge in order to respond to the ever-changing ICT market are ultimately an important factor in growing a company.

As Korea's global IT sourcing is sluggish and supply of qualified IT personnel does not meet the demand, IT developers currently do not worry about their job security. The sluggish global sourcing is attributed to the lack of system design and analysis skills as well as lack of communication skills of IT personnel. Most of big Korean IT service firms operate in captive market. This is also attributed to the cause of the sluggish global sourcing. Some IT managers, especially in global IT service firms, concerned about the negative long term effect of the sluggish global sourcing on competitiveness and human infra capability of Korea's IT service industry. Managers in IT service firms expect skill requirement changes in the future when global sourcing becomes active. The skills and knowledge that they wish to retain in-house is business knowledge, system analysis and design knowledge, customer relation management skills, project management skills and industry knowledge. The jobs with the above knowledge usually involve customers.

Film boiling is of great importance in nuclear safety as it directly influences the integrity of nuclear fuel in case of accidents involving loss of coolant. Recently, nuclear power plant safety under earthquake conditions has received much attention. However, to the best of our knowledge, there are no existing studies reporting film boiling in an oscillating system. Most previous studies for film boiling were performed on stationary systems. In this study, numerical simulations were performed for saturated film boiling of water on a horizontal surface under low frequencies to investigate the effect of system oscillation on film boiling heat transfer. A coupled level-set and volume-of-fluid method was used to track the interface between the vapor and liquid phases. With a fixed oscillation amplitude, overall, heat transfer decreases with oscillation frequency. However, there is a frequency region in which heat transfer remains nearly constant. This lock-on phenomenon occurs when the oscillation frequency is near the natural bubble release frequency. With a fixed oscillation frequency, heat transfer decreases with oscillation amplitude. With a fixed maximum amplitude of the additional gravity, heat transfer is affected little by the combination of oscillation amplitude and frequency.

In this study, deals with selection of monitoring objects to handle emergency cases of multi-modal transfer stations and information required for emergency surveillance, recognition, verification, propagation, processing and situation closing. Furthermore, this article suggests integrated management scheme for the above information and methods which offer appropriate information required for situation handling decisions at each stage of situation changes. The transfer station which consists of facilities, passengers, and transportations has limitations in required monitoring information. So, for the situation recognition and handling strategy, case-based reasoning of the expert system was used to apply experience, knowledge, and past cases of situation handling experts. The article also suggests methods to control facilities which are operated at transfer stations and these methods can minimize spatial confusions and damages at the emergency situation. The real time situation information will be shared by proper facility controls to support services from external institutions.

During the transformation of the agro-technology extension in rural China, many new Policy experiments are emerging to rebuild the lost linkages and to improve technology transfer with the system and among systems. Applying the Triple Helix Model of academy-agriculture-government relations, this paper explores a new pattern of technology transfer with the case of BaojiCity. The authors interpret the mechanism of 'Courtyards for Agro-experts', as well as the comparison between different types of courtyards. This article concludes that the Triple Helix in the agro-sector improves technology transfer and accelerates knowledge-based regional development. In the interest of farmers there should also be concern over reducing inequity the reform.

This paper describes an experimental Knowledge-Based Control System, named KBCS, for manufacturing and assembly. The KBCS of five parts and function : data-base, knowledge acquisition, optimization, and graphic monitoring. The KBCS is utilized for a FMS which is of five machine centers and automatic assembly lines. Each machine can perform almost all manufacturing functions which some difference in efficiency. Buffers store temporarily the incoming components and the outing components. Parts arrive at assembly lines after many steps of manufacturing, and the transfer path and time are determined by procedural knowledge of control systems. Nine different incoming components are set up. The total control system is expected to perform four algorithms, timing algorithm ,sequencing algorithm, penalty algorithm, and cart algorithm. The construction of controller require basic components of manufacturing systems in which knowledges are formulated on the base of the results and the repeated simulation of KBCS with graphic monitoring system. Simulation results by KBCS are compared with those by the other rules of manufacturing.

The purpose of this study is to review the relationships among the determinants of knowledge management and knowledge management, and it's consequences, and the moderating effects of organizational culture on the relationship between the determinants of Knowledge Management and Knowledge Management, and the relationship between Knowledge Management and it's consequences. In the relationship between Knowledge Management and it's consequences, knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer are positively related with personal and intra-organizational, and inter-organizational effectiveness.
