Comparison of big data image analysis techniques for user curation (사용자 큐레이션을 위한 빅데이터 영상 분석 기법 비교)

  • The most important feature of the recently increasing content providing service is that the amount of content increase over time is very large. Accordingly, the importance of user curation is increasing, and various techniques are used to implement it. In this paper, among the techniques for video recommendation, the analysis technique using voice data and subtitles and the video comparison technique based on keyframe extraction are compared with the results of implementing and applying the video content of real big data. In addition, through the comparison result, a video content environment to which each analysis technique can be applied is proposed.

  • In this paper, we proposed several scene analysis algorithms. These algorithms using image difference and histogram operate on the sequence of DC coefficient which is extracted from Motion JPEG or MPEG without full-frame decompression. Since DC sequence has the most information of full frame while it has reduced data. Experimental results show less than 1/64 of full frame analysing complexity and exactly analyze scene changes and extract key frames.

  • We propose a novel method to extract keyframes from home videos based on the 5W and 1H information. Keyframe extraction is a kind of video summarization which selects only specific frames containing important information of a video. As a home video may have content with a variety of topics, we cannot make specific assumptions for information extraction. In addition, to summarize a home video we must analyze human behaviors, because people are important subjects in home videos. In this paper, we extract 5W and 1H information by analyzing human faces, human behaviors, and the global information of background. Experimental results demonstrate that our technique extract more similar keyframes to human selections than previous methods.

  • In sport programs, real-time virtual imaging system come into notice for new technology which can compose information like team logos, scores. distances directly on playing ground, so it can compensate for the defects of general character generator. In order to synchronize graphics to camera movements, generally two method is used. One is for using sensors attached to camera moving axis and the other is for analyzing camera video itself. KBS technical research institute developed real-time sensor-based virtual imaging system 'VIVA', which uses four sensors on pan, tilt, zoom, focus axis and controls virtual graphic camera in three dimensional coordinates in real-time. In this paper, we introduce our system 'VIVA' and it's technology. For accurate camera tracking we calculated view-point movement occurred by zooming based on optical principal point variation data and we considered field of view variation not only by zoom but also by focus. We developed our system based on three dimensional graphic environment. so many useful three dimensional graphic techniques such as keyframe animation can be used. VIVA was successfully used both in Busan Asian Games and 2002 presidential election. We confirmed that it can be used not only in the field but also in the studio programs in which camera is used within more close range.

  • This paper propose a practical algorithm to reuse and expand the objects. This algorithm is based on the Motion Path Modification rules. We focus on reusing of the existing motions for synthesizing new motions for the objects. Both the linear and the nonlinear curve-fitting algorithm are applied to modify an animation by keyframe interpolation and to make the motion appear realistic. We also proposes a framework of the scenario-based 3D image synthesizing system that allows common users, who envision a scenario in their minds, to realize it into segments of a cool animation. The framework is useful in building a 3D animation in game programming with a limited set of 3D objects.

  • Due to the development of online media platforms and the COVID-19 incident, the mass production and consumption of digital video content are rapidly increasing. In order to select digital video content, users grasp it in a short time through thumbnails and teaser videos, and select and watch digital video content that suits them. It is very inconvenient to check all digital video contents produced around the world one by one and manually edit teaser videos for users to choose from. In this paper, keyframes are extracted based on YCbCr color models to automatically generate teaser videos, and keyframes extracted through clustering are optimized. Finally, we present a method of producing a teaser video to help users check digital video content by connecting the finally extracted keyframes.

  • The advancement of technology enables smart phones or handheld devices to render complex 3D graphics. However, the processing power and memory of smart phones remain very limited to render high polygon and details 3D models especially on games which requires animation, physic engine, or augmented reality. In this paper, several techniques will be introduced to speed up the computation and reducing the number of vertices of the 3D meshes without losing much detail.

  • 다양한 스타일의 인간 동작을 쉽고 빠르게 생성하는 일은 캐릭터 애니메이션에서 매우 중요한 문제이다 실제로 이러한 애니메이션을 만드는데 있어서 가장 고품질의 결과를 얻을 수 있는 방법은, 전문 애니메이터가 3차원 애니메이션 제작 도구를 사용하여 직접 만드는 것이다. 하지만 일반 사용자가 이와 비슷한 애니메이션을 만드는 것은 어려운 일이다. 이 논문에서는 누구나 쉽게, 그리고 일정 품질 이상으로 3차원 캐릭터 애니메이션을 제작할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 스케치기반 인터페이스와 모션 데이터베이스를 이용한다. 스케치기반 인터페이스는 일반 사용자가 어렵게 느낄 수 있는, 키 프레임을 쉽고 빠르게 지정할 수 있도록 도와준다. 모션 데이터베이스는 이러한 키 프레임을 설정을 돕고, 애니메이션 제작에 필요한 키 프레임 수를 줄인다. 이 방법으로 누구나 원하는 애니메이션을 쉽고 빠르게 생성할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose new semantic contents modeling using individual features, associative relations and visual features for efficiently supporting browsing and retrieval of video semantic contents. And we implement and design a browsing and retrieval system based on the semantic contents modeling. The browsing system supports annotation based information, keyframe based visual information, associative relations, and text based semantic information using a tree based browsing technique. The retrieval system supports text based retrieval, visual feature and associative relations according to the retrieval types of semantic contents.
