Generalized Durbin-Watson Statistics in the Nonstationary Seasonal Time Series Model

  • In this paper we study the behaviors of the generalized Durbin-Watson (DW) statistics when the nonstationary seasonal time series regression model is misspecified. It is observed that when the series is seasonally integrated the generalized DW statistic for the seasonal period order autocorrelation converges in probability to zero while teh generalized DW statistic for the first order autocorrelation has nondegenerate asymptotic distribution. When the series is regularly and seasonally integrated the generalized DW for the first order autocorrelation still converges in probability to zero.

  • The electric propulsion system requires more reliability and safety than the conventional propulsion system because any sudden changes of electric system would bring tremendous effects on the ship's safety and propulsion. So it is very important to consider the potential transient effects. This paper discusses one of the worst electric accident. That is, one or two of generators are out of service in normal seagoing condition. And the appropriate measures are simulated in order to prevent the frequency decline that can bring the other generator's tripping. In addition, the relation between the transient effects and the major factors(inertia of generator/motors, governor's drooping characteristic and response speed) are also identified using the ETAP software.

  • 한국정보통신기술협회(TTA)는 2003년 3월 7일 대은전자㈜(http://www.dek.co.kr/) Gate Hub(모델명: DEK1521)의 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-N-03-014)를 발급하였다. 또한 2003년 4월 3일 ㈜네오정보시스템(http://www.neoinfosys.co.kr/) 세대통신 분배장치(모델명: NIS - HM1616A)의 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-N-03-026)를 발급하였다. 위의 두 장비는 Fast Ethernet Switch module과 전화 및 데이터 라인 연결 module을 함께 갖추었으며, TTA가 위의 두 장비를 이용하여 수행한 시험은 Fast Ethernet Switch module의 성능을 측정하는 것이었다. 본 고에서는 TTA가 마련한 Fast Ethernet Switch에 대한 인증기준(TTA-V-N-03-004-CC20)을 바탕으로 위의 두 장비에 대해 수행한 Fully meshed Throughput/Aging 시험 결과를 소개한다.

  • 중소기업청은 지난 1월 10일 중소기업의 생산성을 높이고 원활한 활동을 지원하기 위해 올해 총 3조원 규모의 중소기업 정책자금을 지원하는‘2005년도 중소기업 정책자금 지원계획’을 발표하고 중소기업진흥공단 지역본부(15개) 등에서 신청·접수를 받는다. 지원되는 자금의 내용별로는 구조개선자금 1조 7,500억원, 중소·벤처창업자금 3,500억원, 소상공인 창업 및 경영개선 자금 5,100억원, 중소기업 개발 및 특허기술 사업화 자금 800억원, 중소기업 수출금융 지원자금 700억원, 중소기업 협동화 자금 2,400억원 등이다. 지난 1월 10일부터 시작하여 중소기업진흥공단 각 지역본부에서 자금 소진시까지 신청 및 접수를 받는다. 신청서식은 중소기업청(http://www.smba.go.kr) 및 중소기업진흥공단(http://www.sbc.or.kr) 홈페이지에서 받아볼 수 있다. 본 고에서는 사업별 자금지원계획에 대한 내용을 정리해 보았다.

A Study on the Corrosion Properties of Underwater Wet Arc Welds Using the SM 41 (선체용 압연 강판의 습식 수중 아크 용접부의 부식특성에 관한 연구)

  • Underwater wet arc welds were experimentally performed on 11mm thick KR-RA steel plate using six different types of flux coated electrodes of 4.0mm diameter, KSKR, KSKT, USBL, JPUW, UWEA and UWEB. From analysis of bead appearance, detachability of weld slag, spatter occurrence and arc stability, JPUW gives the best result, and UWEB is superior to KSKR and KSKT. By experimental result of hardness distribution on the weld bonds, UWEB weld has the narrowest bond structure which is probable condition to get the best mechanical properties of weld. UWEB and JPUW welds have more even hardness distribution across weld deposit and base metal. Upon polarization test to measure the respondency of corrosion, the electrode of UWEB shows the most excellent degree due to the low open circuit potential difference.

  • The Ministry of Construction and Transportation is going to establish 310 groundwater monitoring stations. 154 stations have been established and periodically managed since 1995. Most of stations have two monitoring boreholes which function is to monitor the unconsolidated and bedrock aquifer, and have the automatic monitoring equipment to observe groundwater level, temperature and hydraulic conductivity which are measured four times a day. Especially 44 stations are equipped with the Remote Terminal Unit. MOCT publish "an annual report of Groundwater monitoring stations" every year and everyone can get the monitoring data from Groundwater World web site(http://wamis.kowaco.or.kr/gww/)..kr/gww/).

dsRNA Analysis and Sequence of S12 to Rice dwarf virus Korean Isolate

  • We isolated Rice dwarf virus (RDV) from infected plants in rice fields (Korea, Japan, China, the Philippines and Nepal) and analyzed their genomic dsRNAs by polyacrylamide gel eletrophoresis. The genomic dsRNAs of the isolates showed distinct electrophoretic mobility profiles. The S12 coding to nonstructural protein of Korean isolate (RDV-Kr) was further analyzed by sequencing. The S12 of RDV-Kr was 1,066bp long and coded for a protein composed of 312 amino acids including three open reading frames of P12, P120Pa and P120Pb. The sequence identities were 96% and 98.6% with Japanese isolates (H, AN), 94.7% with Nepalese isolate (NEL), 94% with Chinese isolate (CK) and the Philippines isolate (P).

Durbin-Watson Type Unit Root Test Statistics

  • In the analysis of time series it is an important issue to determine whether a time series under study is stationary. For the test of the stationary of the time series the Dickey-Fuller (DF) type tests have been mainly used. In this paper, we consider the regular unit root tests and seasonal unit root tests based on the generalized Durbin-Watson (DW) statistics when the errors are independent. The limiting distributions of the proposed DW-type test statistics are the functionals of standard Brownian motions. We also obtain the finite distributions and powers of the DW-type test statistics and compare the performances with the DF-type tests. It is observed that the DW-type test statistics have good behaviors against the DF-type test statistics especially in the nonzero (seasonal) mean model.

  • 본 논문에서는 학습 중 모멘트를 동적으로 조절하여 수련속도와 학습 성능을 향상시키는 동적모멘트를 제안하고 회귀방법으로 동적모멘트의 성능을 재확인한다. 제안된 학습방법은 기존의 정적모멘트와는 달리 수렴 정도에 따라 현재의 학습에 과거의 학습률을 단리 반영하는 방법으로 다른 학습법에 비해 보다 유연한 초평면을 갖으며 수렴에 이르는 시간이 오래 걸리는 KR(Kernel Relaxation)에 적용하여 그 성능을 확인한다. 본 논문에서 사용한 회귀방법은 RMS 오류율을 사용하였으며 제안된 학습방법인 동적모멘트를 SVM(support vector machine)의 순차 학습방법 중 최근 발표된 KR에 적용하여 RMS 오류율을 확인하였다. 실험의 공정성을 위해 신경망 분류기 표준평가데이터인 SONAR 데이터를 사용하였으며 실험 결과 동적모멘트를 이용한 회귀율이 정적모멘트를 이용한 방법보다 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

  • In discharge excited excimer laser, it is hard to say that the analysis of laser operation was well explained until now. But this can be improved by analysis the nonlinear discharge characteristics in the cavity. The nonlinear characteristics can be analysed by solving the nonlinear resistance which depends on electron mobility and number density. We can calculate the electron mobility and number density each other using Boltzmann equation and Kinetics equation. So we calculated the nonlinear resistance and analysed nonlinear discharge characteristics.
