  • The purpose of this study is to design of prototype for developing webpage of fisheries and marine education especially in the field of Busan area. For this, we extract the guideline for development from literature review, need and task analysis, and advices of subject domain experts. Followings were the results of the research: (a) We make the prototype for main menu and screen based on institute, time, subject, and location. (b) We make the prototype for program approach guide, which is consisted of location based menu constructing prototype guide, activation prototype guide, and selection prototype guide. (c) We make the prototype for functional guide, which is consisted of information section, participation section and other sections.

  • In this paper, we proposed the fuzzy prototype pattern classifier. In the proposed classifier, each prototype is defined to describe the related sub-space and the weight value is assigned to the prototype. The weight value assigned to the prototype leads to the change of the boundary surface. In order to define the prototypes, we use Fuzzy C-Means Clustering which is the one of fuzzy clustering methods. In order to optimize the weight values assigned to the prototypes, we use the Differential Evolutionary Algorithm. We use Linear Discriminant Analysis to estimate the coefficients of the polynomial which is the structure of the consequent part of a fuzzy rule. Finally, in order to evaluate the classification ability of the proposed pattern classifier, the machine learning data sets are used.

Design and Safety Performance Evaluation of the Riding Three-Wheeled Two-Row Soybean Reaper

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the key factors in designing a three-wheeled two-row soybean reaper (riding type) that is suitable for soybean production, and ensure worker safety by proposing optimal work conditions for the prototype of the designed machine in relation to the slope of the road. Methods: A three-wheeled two-row soybean reaper (riding type) was designed and its prototype was fabricated based on the local soybean-production approach. This approach was considered to be closely related to the prototype-designing of the cutter and the wheel driving system of the reaper. Load distribution on the wheels of the prototype, its minimum turning radius, static lateral overturning angle, tilt angle during driving, and The working and rear overturning (back flip) angle were measured. Based on the gathered information, investigations were conducted regarding optimal work conditions for the prototype. The investigations took into account driving stability and worker safety. Results: The minimum ground clearance of the prototype was 0.5 m. The blade height of the prototype was adjusted such that the cutter was operated in line with the height of the ridges. The load distribution on the prototype's wheels was found to be 1 (front wheel: F): 1.35 (rear-left wheel: RL): 1.43 (rear-right wheel: RR). With the ratio of load distribution between the RL and RR wheels being 1: 1.05, the left-to-right lateral loads were found to be well-balanced. The minimum turning radius of the prototype was 2.0 m. Such a small turning radius was considered to be beneficial for cutting work on small-scale fields. The sliding of the prototype started at $25^{\circ}$, and its lateral overturning started at $39.3^{\circ}$. Further, the critical slope angle for the worker to drive the prototype in the direction of the contour line on an incline was found to be $12.8^{\circ}$, and the safe angle of slope for the cutting was measured to be less than $6^{\circ}$. The critical angle of slope that allowed for work was found to be $10^{\circ}$, at which point the prototype would overturn backward when given impact forces of 1,060 N on its front wheel. Conclusions: It was determined that farmers using the prototype would be able to work safely in most soybean production areas, provided that they complied with safe working conditions during driving and cutting.

Development of a Moldboard Plow to Invert Furrow Slice at the Same Position (토양의 제자리 반전을 위한 몰드보드 플라우의 개발)

  • On the basis of design theory of soil inversion, two types of moldboard plow with secondary soil mover was designed and constructed to invert furrow slice at same position with furrow bottom. A series of soil bin experiment was carried to investigate the performance of prototypes. First prototype of new concept plow showed two kinds of problems during the preliminary experiment. For the plowing depth of 6cut the prototype did not invert the furrow slice, instead it just cut furrow bottom and the furrow slice returned to the original position. For the plowing depth of 8cm, there was soil clogging problem at the rear part of plow. From the above results it was concluded that the first prototype can not be used for the inversion of furrow slice at same position with furrow bottom. Second prototype could invert furrow slice at the same position with furrow bottom, but the performance was affected by soil moisture content soil hardness and plowing speed very much. For the higher soil moisture content, for the higher soil hardness and higher plowing speed, the prototype showed higher soil inversion performance. For the second prototype the inversion ratio was almost 100%, inversion angle was in the range of 90 to 100 degree and side displacement was less than 4 cm. But the furrow slice was not continuous, it was cut in the length of 30 to 40 cm. The reason why the furrow slice was cut in that length is blamed for the design of moldboard surface. The specific draft of prototype was in the range of 37.24 kN/㎡ to 42.14 kN/㎡ this value is a little higher than that of the conventional plow, or from 30.38 kN/㎡ to 33.32 kN/㎡. But the difference was not so big. The inversion performance of the second prototype for the field experiment was much better than that of soil bin experiment due to the better soil and operational conditions. Sticky and compacted soil conditions, and higher plowing speed was suitable for the plowing operation of the second prototype

  • This study is to make value estimating system to valuate prototype landscape of rural and to derive itemized importance to select priority preservable object The results of the study are summarized as follows, It is examined value estimating standard by analyzing prototype landscape related previous study, law and order. Also, It is derived conclusive prototype landscape value estimating system by doing attribute assessment of preserving objects while surveying the site and interviewing professionals, Value estimating system is classified into five items of physical value which are integration, harmony, diversity, symbolism and aesthetics, The historical-cultural value are divided into four categories which are religious value, originality, historicity and scarcity, The communal values are divided into three categories which are sociality, continuing and regional locality and also divided into three categories which are rarity, primitiveness and diversity as the ecological value, Relative priority of prototype landscape value estimating system result is derived as historical-cultural value as the superior position and physical value, communal value and ecological value as the priority order. In the subordinate, historical categories are derived to be the most valuable and originality, symbolism, integration, regional locality, continuing, harmony, aesthetics, religious value, primitiveness, diversity of physical values and diversity of ecological value in order of the priority assessment The results of the study have the meaning of practical use in prior selection and preservation plan of preserving prototype landscape as practical alternative plan for systematical preservation of damaging prototype landscape.

Evaluation of Critical Speed for Active Steering Bogie Prototype (능동형 시제 조향대차의 임계속도 평가)

  • Critical speed analysis was conducted for a active steering bogie prototype, developed to improve the curving performance of railway vehicles. The critical speed for the design concept was about 169.2k m/h. To validate the analysis result, we performed a critical speed test for the prototype bogie using a roller-rig tester. The test results showed that the critical speed for the prototype bogie was about 165 km/h. From the analysis and test results, The critical speed for the prototype bogie was determined to be 165 km/h. Considering the maximum operating speed of the test vehicle is 100 km/h, the prototype bogie is considered stable.

  • p-Snake is an energy minimizing algorithm that applies an additional prototype energy to the existing Active Contour Model and is used to extract the contour line in the area where the edge information is unclear. In this paper suggested the creation of a prototype energy field that applies a variable prototype expressed as a combination of circle and straight line primitives, and a fudge function, to improve p-Snake's contour extraction performance. The prototype was defined based on the parts codes entered and the appropriate initial contour was extracted in each primitive zones acquired from the pre-processing process. Then, the primitives variably adjusted to create the prototype and the contour probability based on the distance to the prototype was calculated through the fuzzy function to create the prototype energy field. This was applied to p-Snake to extract the contour from 100 images acquired from various small parts and compared its similarity with the prototype to find that p-Snake made with the adaptive prototype was about 4.6% more precise than the existing Snake method.

An Edutainment Game Prototype for Sasang Constitutional Food Therapy

  • Objective : Recently many kinds of food therapies have sprung up to prevent or manage disease and to promote health. Seeing Korean history, the Korean medical doctors have been applying food therapy based on the thought that the dietary sources were as important as the medicine. Therefore, in this study, we designed a mobile edutainment game prototype with the goal of providing education about healthy food knowledge for users who belongs to different constitutional types. Materials and Method : We adopted the Sasang Constitutional Medicine as the medical background knowledge for our edutainment game design. Based on the user study, we developed the process of edutainment system which is composed of 'My game', 'My constitution', and 'My food'. Among the whole process, we developed a prototype for the core module - the 'My game' part. This prototype used a jumping game for mobile devices that is composed of training, level 1 and level 2 stages. Results : From the target user evaluation, it was proved that 1) in terms of the learning effect of healthy diet, the edutainment game we developed has a significant advantage over the conventional learning media. 2) after playing the edutainment game, the good and bad food identification accuracy based on picture and text format were increased by 44% and 42% respectively, and 3) target users perceived enjoyment while using this prototype, as well as showed positive intention to use this game as edutainment tool in the future. Conclusion : We designed and developed mobile edutainment game prototype to educate healthy food knowledge based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Through user evaluation, we proved that our prototype enhanced healthy food knowledge and that user accepted the prototype as a beneficial edutainment tool.

A Study on the preservation plan for prototype landscape in Namsa-Yedamchon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do (경남 산청군 남사예담촌 원형경관 보전기본계획)

  • This study is to make the preservation plan for sustainable preservation restoration of Namsa-Yedamchon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do through analyzing the site's characteristics and prototype landscape. Namsa-Yedamchon proudly presents ancient traditions and various historic resources. And several development plan and projects associated with historic resources of this site are in progress. Therefore, it was carried out to make master plan of Namsa-Yedamchon for preserving various prototype landscape. To achieve this, literature search, field survey, local residents' interview and the estimation of value on each prototype landscape were carried out. In literature search, it was analyzed to the previous studies related to this study and past data was collected like past picture, antique books, articles and so on. In field survey, it was carried out to analyze the present condition and the problems of prototype landscape in this site. In addition, the progress of landscape change in this site was analyzed through local residents' interview. The estimation of value on each prototype landscape was carried out to set up the appropriate preservation directions and preservation scope through selecting more important prototype landscape among them. Through these steps, the master plan was deducted and it was divided into 3 type; preservation conservation zone, restoration maintenance zone and renovation utilization according to landscape components, preservation scope, surroundings and so on.
