Functional cerebral impairments have been verified objectively by brain SPECT and q-EEG (quantitative electroencephalography). Microcerebral circulatory defects without anatomical changes can-not be detected by the brain CT or MRI. Brain SPECT using $^{99m}Tc$-HMPAO (Hexamethyl propyleneamine oxime) as a key radioisotope may be accepted as the useful method for identifying functional cerebral impairments. We studied 25 patients with mild head trauma to define whether the SPECT was helpful in detecting cerebral impairment. Results were as follows: The SPECT was positive in 23 patients out of 25, q-EEG positive in 16 patients and brain CT was positive in 3 cases. SPECT and q-EEG were more sensitive than CT, SPECT would be more useful method than brain CT to investigate cerebral function after head injury.

This study examines a clinical progress of treatment for the sequelae of facial palsy through Jung-ahn acupuncture. The patient in this case was diagnosed with facial paralysis a few years ago. The patient was treated with Korean medicine and Western medicine, but was given up without improvement. The paretic symptom was found out in left side of the face. Also facial spasm and epiphora caused by blepharoptosis were existed. The patient got 8 times Jung-ahn acupuncture treatment from September 18th, 2014 to September 26th, 2014. House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system(H-B scale) was implemented. On the first time of the treatment, H-B scale was Grade Ⅴ and facial nerve grading was 2/8. Facial spasm and epiphora caused by blepharoptosis in lower eyelid were appeared on facial expressions and conversation. After total 8 treatments(therapies), H-B scale was Grade Ⅲ and facial nerve grading was 5/8. The symptoms of facial paralysis and blepharoptosis were improved. Jung-ahn acupuncture is estimated to be effective in facial palsy sequela. More cases are required to develop treatment of facial palsy sequela.

Previous studies have demonstrated that JMJD2A is a potential oncogene and is overexpressed in human tumors. However, its role in the endometrial carcinoma remains largely unknown. In this study, we discovered that JMJD2A was overexpressed in endometrial carcinoma, using immunohistochemistry, quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction, and western blotting. Downregulation of JMJD2A led to reduced endometrial carcinoma RL95-2 and ISK cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis as asessed with cell counting kit-8, cell migration and invasive assays. Collectively, our results support that JMJD2A is a promoter of endometrial carcinoma cell proliferation and survival, and is a potential novel drug target.

Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria(PNH) is an acquired hematologic disorder characterized by intravascular hemolysis, nocturnal hemoglobinuria, thrombotic events and bone marrow failure. It rarely occurs in children and can be complicated by acute renal failure(ARF). Here, we present two cases of ARF complicating PNH which has not been reported yet in Korean children. We suggest that PNH should be considered in differential diagnosis of ARF in children associated with intravascular hemolysis.

The purpose of this study is to report a patient with pleural effusion improved by oriental medical treatment. The patient was treated with Bokryunghaengingamcho-tang and acupunture. We measured pleural effusion by Chest CT, twice a month. Pleural effusion decreased in Chest CT after oriental medical treatment. This study suggests that Bokryunghaengingamcho-tang is effective in pleural effusion.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of Chuna and Stylex device treatment in patients with genu varum. Methods 2 patients (21/male, 40/female) with genu varum were recruited in this study. Chuna treatment at pelvic, and stylex device treatment at both legs were applied to all participants. Outcomes were assessed using Q-angle (Quadriceos angle), TFA (Tibiovemoral angle), Distance of both sides patella. Results 1. Distance of both sides patella were decrease in all case. 2. Q-angel and TFA were decrease in case 1. but slight invrease in case 2. Conclusions This study showed that Chuna and Stlyex divice treatments could be used as an effective method for decrease distance of both sides patella. but Q-angle and TFA need more research on whether proper assessment as a measure of genu varum.

The typical radiographic findings of pulmonary edema from the increased hydrostatic pressure shows centrally localized consolidation, which is known as a "butterfly or bat's wing" pattern. These terms describe the anatomic distribution of edema that uniformly involve the hilum and medulla of the lung but not the peripheral region of the lung parenchyma (cortex). We present a case of butterfly wing-like pulmonary edema on a chest radiograph by mitral regurgitation due to an idiopathic chordal rupture.

At least 88 percents of ventricular aneurysms result from anterior infarction, while the remainder follow inferior infarction. Posterior infarction that produce a distinct left ventricular aneurysm is unusual. We report two operative cases of postinfarction posterobasal left ventricular aneurysms, one with a true aneurysm and the other with a false one.

Objectives : We investigate to identify the satisfaction degree of patients by traffic accident(TA) for improving the quality of services and fortifying the competitiveness of Korean medical hospital on TA patients. Methods : The survey used by preceding articles was accepted for assessment of the satisfaction degree of patients in this study. All data were coded by SPSS v18.0 and analyzed by descriptive maneuver, ${\chi}^2$-test, T-test and correlation. Results : According to the survey, 84% of patients included this study were hospitalized in the Korean medical hospital within 2 weeks from TA and 92.3% were satisfied with the current medical service. The answer that Korean medicine is superior to western medicine for TA treatment was the main reason for selecting Korean medical hospital. 35.1% of patients satisfied Chuna treatment and 42.9% unsatisfied herbal medicine. There were no differences in the satisfaction degree with sex, age, education and occupation. The satisfaction degree of the current Korean medical service was significantly correlated with doctor's service, use the procedure and reuse intention. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop and to apply the customer satisfaction program for the Korean medicine hospital on TA patients.
