Signboard Replacement in Video clip (비디오 클립에서의 간판영역 교체 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a technique for smoothly replacing a signboard image in a video clip with another signboard image and an application for performing it. In order to replace the signboard area in the image, it must be tracked and the shape of the signboard changed. Also, when an obstruction occurs due to a front object, the obscured area is extracted so that only the signboard area can be replaced, and color correction is performed for natural synthesis. The proposed application receives the information required by the algorithm from the user and explains the required functions, thereby disclosing the entire process in which the algorithm is actually implemented and tested. This can be used for a variety of media, and can be used as a means to remove the indirect advertisement that is often seen, and it can also be used as a new advertisement model in which another advertisement image is inserted into the image to be advertised.

Combined Application of Data Imbalance Reduction Techniques Using Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘을 활용한 데이터 불균형 해소 기법의 조합적 활용)

  • The data imbalance problem which can be uncounted in data mining classification problems typically means that there are more or less instances in a class than those in other classes. In order to solve the data imbalance problem, there has been proposed a number of techniques based on re-sampling with replacement, adjusting decision thresholds, and adjusting the cost of the different classes. In this paper, we study the feasibility of the combination usage of the techniques previously proposed to deal with the data imbalance problem, and suggest a combination method using genetic algorithm to find the optimal combination ratio of the techniques. To improve the prediction accuracy of a minority class, we determine the combination ratio based on the F-value of the minority class as the fitness function of genetic algorithm. To compare the performance with those of single techniques and the matrix-style combination of random percentage, we performed experiments using four public datasets which has been generally used to compare the performance of methods for the data imbalance problem. From the results of experiments, we can find the usefulness of the proposed method.

Economic Ship Routing System by a Path Search Algorithm Based on an Evolutionary Strategy (진화전략 기반 경로탐색 알고리즘을 활용한 선박경제운항시스템)

  • An economic ship routing means to sail a ship with a goal of minimizing the fuel consumption by utilizing weather forecast information, and there have been various systems which have been recently studied. For a successful economic ship routing system, it is needed to properly control an engine power or change a geographical path considering weather forecast. An optimal geographical path is difficult to be determined, though, because it is a minimal dynamic-cost path search problem where the actual fuel consumption is dynamically variable by the weather condition when the ship will pass the area. In this paper, we propose an geographical path-search algorithm based on evolutionary strategy to efficiently search a good quality solution out of tremendous candidate solutions. We tested our approach with the shortest path-based sailing method over seven testing routes and observed that the former reduced the estimated fuel consumption than the latter by 1.82% on average and the maximum 2.49% with little difference of estimated time of arrival. In particular, we observed that our method can find a path to avoid bad weather through a case analysis.

Extraction of Respiratory Rate by using FFT for Radial Artery Pulse Waves Acquisited by Clip-type Pulsimeter with a Hall Sensor (홀센서 집게형 맥진기 요골동맥파에 FFT를 적용한 호흡수 추출 연구)

  • This research suggested that the extraction of respiratory rate could be made possible by using frequency analysis in the data process for clip-type pulsimeter equipped with permanent magnet and Hall sensor. The pulse analysis included of cardiac motion information depending on variation of pulse waveforms is investigated by means of Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). The peaks of FFT spectrums measured at 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 tempos are coincided to each respiratory rate having 0.125 Hz, 0.16 Hz, 0.25 Hz, 0.33 Hz, and 0.41 Hz, respectively. The FFT spectrum using algorithm for the extraction of respiratory rate showed the best pulse waves measured during 300 s. Based upon these results, the clip-type pulsimeter could extract the effective respiratory rate reflecting physical effects.

  • In the recent, the communication market increased every year. Because of the user's demands and exhaustion of wireless resource, we needs a new technology of the communication system. The femtocell is one of the new technology of the communication system. 'Femto' means very small. By using the femtocell that made up the very small cell, the frequency efficiency increase. The femtocell has different cell environments. The Power Control is important for femtocell to avoid interference and unnecessary handover. In this paper, we propose a new femtocell power control that is improvement of handover probability and throughput. And we simulate and check the result.

  • 본 연구는 White LED를 이용하여 주변 밝기 변화에 빠르게 적응하는 퍼지 뉴로 Dimming Control System을 설계한다. 본 논문에서는 방사형기저함수 신경회로망(Radial Basis Function Neural Network: RBFNN)을 설계하여 실제 White LED Dimming Control System에 적용시켜 모델의 근사화 및 일반화 성능을 평가한다. 제안한 모델에서의 은닉층은 방사형기저함수를 사용하여 적합도를 구현하였고, 후반부의 연결가중치는 경사하강법을 사용한다. 이때 멤버쉽 함수의 중심점은 HCM 클러스터링 (Hard C-Means Clustering)을 적용하여 결정한다. 연결가중치는 4가지 형태의 다항식을 대입하여 출력을 평가하였다. 최종 출력의 최적화를 위하여 PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization)을 이용하여 은닉층 노드수 및 다항식 형태를 결정한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 LED Dimming Control System은 Atmega8535를 사용하여 PWM 제어 방식을 사용하고, 조도계(Cds)를 이용하여 LED의 밝기에 따른 주변의 밝기를 감지하여 조명에 적응시키는 방법을 적용하였다.

A New Line to Line Fault Location Algorithm in Distribution Power Networks using 3 Phase Direct Analysis (3상회로의 직접해석에 의한 송배전계통 선간단락 사고 고장거리 계산 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a fault location algorithm is suggested for line to line faults in distribution networks. Conventional fault location algorithms use the symmetrical component transformation, a very useful tool for transmission network analysis. However, its application is restricted to balanced network only. Distribution networks are, in general, operated in unbalanced manners, therefore, conventional methods cannot be applied directly, which is the reason why there are few research results on fault location in distribution networks. Especially, the line to line fault is considered as a more difficult subject. The proposed algorithm uses direct 3-phase circuit analysis, which means it can be applied not only to balanced networks but also to unbalanced networks like distribution a network. The comparisons of simulation results between one of conventional methods and the suggested method are presented to show its effectiveness and accuracy.

  • In this paper, The trajectory control of robot manipulator is proposed. It divides by trajectory planning and tracking control. A trajectory planning and tracking control of robot manipulator is used to the neural network and evolutionary algorithm. The trajectory planning provides not only the optimal trajectory for a given cost function through evolutionary algorithm but also the configurations of the robot manipulator along the trajectory by considering the robot dynamics. The computed torque method (C.T.M) using the model of the robot manipulators is an effective means for trajectory tracking control. However, the tracking performance of this method is severely affected by the uncertainties of robot manipulators. The Radial Basis Function Networks(RBFN) is used not to learn the inverse dynamic model but to compensate the uncertainties of robot manipulator. The computer simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Optimal Arrangement of Resilient Mount installed on Frame Support Structure at Shipboard Equipment under Shock Load (충격하중하의 탑재장비 프레임 지지구조의 탄성마운트 배치 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • Shipboard equipment in naval ships should be designed to be safe under the shock load. Very high stress due to the shock load can be effectively reduced by the resilient mounts considering the mount capacity and dynamic characteristics. An optimum arrangement of resilient mount installed to absorb the shock energy is addressed to assess the safety of ship structure and shipboard equipment subjected to the shock load. Structural responses are analyzed for both frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment subject to the shock load with and without the resilient mounts. The shock absorbability of the resilient mount is evaluated by the results of structural response analysis; meanwhile, several types of shock analyses considering the arrangement of resilient mounts are carried out and the shock responses are compared to verify the effect of the arrangement. Thereafter, optimum arrangements are obtained by means of Genetic algorithm (GA) considering the different capacities of resilient mount. Stress, deformation and dynamic feature at the frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment under the shock load are also discussed in order to meet the capacity of resilient mount.

Word Cluster-based Mobile Application Categorization (단어 군집 기반 모바일 애플리케이션 범주화)

  • In this paper, we propose a mobile application categorization method using word cluster information. Because the mobile application description can be shortly written, the proposed method utilizes the word cluster seeds as well as the words in the mobile application description, as categorization features. For the fragmented categories of the mobile applications, the proposed method generates the word clusters by applying the frequency of word occurrence per category to K-means clustering algorithm. Since the mobile application description can include some paragraphs unrelated to the categorization, such as installation specifications, the proposed method uses some word clusters useful for the categorization. Experiments show that the proposed method improves the recall (5.65%) by using the word cluster information.
