We have developed low voltage driving red phosphorescent organic light-emitting devices using a new electron transport layer. $Ir(piq)_3$ and CBP were used as a phosphorescent dopant and an emission host, respectively. The device exhibits a luminance of $1000\;cd/m^2$ at a voltage of 2.8 V. This high luminance at low voltage results from a high electron conduction behavior of the new electron transport layer.

We developed a Retinal Projection Display for a low vision aid. This device can be applied to a low vision whose visual sense is weak. In the device, a digital image was formed with spatial light modulator(SLM) and projected onto a retina with the Maxwellian View. The image on this display can be seen clearly without our ocular accommodation and a low vision can see it without correction of a refraction error.

Commercial conductive metal inks are available, but metals used in these have unsuitable work function for efficient OLED device performance. Metals with low work function tend to oxidize easily, which makes it challenging to develop low work function metal inks. In this research we describe printed low work function Al cathode.

We present observational results characterizing molecular outflows from very low-mass objects in ${\rho}$ Ophiuchi and Taurus. Our results provide us with important implications that clarify the formation process of very low-mass objects.

In this study, numerical calculations are carried out in order to evaluate the performance of low-Re Reynolds stress model based on SSG model for a swirling turbulent flow in a pipe. The results are compared with those of k-ε model, GL model and the experimental data. The results show that low-Re Reynolds stress model and GL model give better results than k-ε model. In the region near the wall, low-Re Reynolds stress model improves the predictions. However, there is no large difference between the predictions with two Reynolds stress models.

The turbulent buoyancy-driven flow in 2-dimensional enclosed cavities heated from the vertical side is numerically calculated for both cases of a Rayleigh number of 5*10$^{10}$ for air and 2.5*10$^{10}$ for water. Three different turbulence models are considered : standard k-.epsilon. model of Ozoe and low-Reynolds-number model of Lam and Bremhorst, and another low-Reynolds-number model of Davidson. The results indicate that the use of low-Reynolds number models is recommended for the indoor airflow computation, and the results from Davidson model are reasonably close to the reported experimental data. A sensitivity study shows that the amounts of wall-heat transfer and the velocity profiles with the Lam and Bremhorst model largely depend on the choice of the wall function for .epsilon..

Epidural steroid injection is a treatment for low back pain which allows smaller doses with less risk of side effects and longer duration of relief than systemic administration. From 1 June 1992 to 31 January, 1994, 1 mg/kg of triamcinolone diacetate in 8 ml of lidocaine 1% was administered 56 times to 33 patients who complained of low back pain. Results of epidural steroid injection provided effectiveness in treating various low back pain diseases except postlaminectomy syndrome. However there are no gains about repeated epidural steroid injection.

Recently, new gamma camera systems enabling low radiation dose imaging have been developed. We reviewed the recent development of these low dose gamma camera systems including high sensitivity detectors, device structures, noise reduction filters, efficient image reconstruction algorithms, low dose protocols, and so on. It is expected that further technological advances reduce both radiation dose and imaging time in gamma camera imaging especially for radiation-sensitive patients such as pediatric patients.

In this paper, Based on Two-dimensional Flow Theory, adopting quasi-orthogonal method and point-by-point integration method to design the impeller of the low specific speed centrifugal pump by code, and using RANS (Reynolds Averaged N-S) Equation with a standard k-${\varepsilon}$ two-equation turbulence model and log-law wall function to solve 3D turbulent flow field in the impeller of the low specific speed pump. An analysis of the influences of the blade profile on velocity distributions, pressure distributions and pump performance and the investigation of the flow regulation pattern in the impeller of the centrifugal pump are presented. And the result shows that this method can be used as a new way in low speed centrifugal pump impeller design.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of dry-hydrotherapy to release pain in patient with low back pain. Methods: The subjects of the study were fifty patient with low back pain in orthopedic clinic. Fifty patients who had low back pain were randomly divided into 2 groups, 1) dry-hydrotherapy group 2) control group. Visual analog scale(VAS) and Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire were measured before and after treatment. The treatment plan Was as follows; 15 min. exercise per day and 5 days per week for 2 weeks. Results: 1. Before dry-hydrotherapy, there was no significant difference in VAS score and Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire score between two groups. 2. The VAS score was significantly decreased in both groups after 2-week dry-hydrotherapy and the decrease in the AS score in dry-hydrotherapy group was significantly lower than in control group. 3. The Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire score was significantly decreased in both groups after 2-week dry-hydrotherapy and the decrease in Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire score dry-hydrotherapy group was significantly lower than in control group. Conclusion: In conclusion, the dry-hydrotherapy was effective to alleviate pain in patients with low back pain.
