This study develops a scientific method in pilot selection by analysing a divided attention performance between the successful pilots and the failures in a flight training course. To measure the divided attention performance, Dual Task Method is used in which the primary task is a tracking task while the secondary tasks are, 1. short-term memory task 2. choice reaction task 3. judgement task. Result shows that the performance of the pilots is significantly better (p < 0.1) than that of the failures in divided attention performance. In addition, the differences in the divided attention performance between the two groups are increased in proportion to the difficulty of the task and especially in the short term memory, the increment is most dramatic.

For the purpose of monitoring by ultrasonic test of the ball bearing conditions in rotating machinery, a system for their diagnosis was developed. ultrasonic technique is used to detect abnormal conditions in the bearing system. And various data such as frequency spectrum, energy and amplitude of ultrasonic signals, and ultrasonic parameters were acquired during experiments with the simulated ball bearing system. Based on the above results and practical application for power plant, algorithms and judgement criteria for diagnosis system was established. Bearing diagnosis system is composed of four parts as follows : sensing part for ultrasonic sensor and preamplifier, signal processing part for measuring frequency spectrum, energy and amplitude, interface part for connecting ultrasonic signal to PC using A/D converter, graphic display and software part for display of bearing condition and for managing of diagnosis program.

The purpose of this study was (1) to investigate and order the levels of parental authority concepts established by Damon, and (2) to investigate the relationship between the development of parental authority concepts and the child's age and sex. The subjects of this study were 120 children from an elementary school in Seoul. There were 40 subjects (20 males and 20 females) in each of three age groups: 8-, 10-, and 12- year-olds. The subjects were interviewed individually using Damon's(1977) open-ended questions concerning family rules. Responses to the assessment questions were coded as positive or negative, and responses to the judgement concept questions were coded into 6 levels. Statistical analysis of obtained data was by percentage, Spearman correlation using an ordinal scale, two-way analysis of variance, and Duncan test. The results showed that (1) the developmental levels of parental authority concepts established by Damon conformed to an ordinal scale, and (2) the development of parental authority concepts was related to child's age but not to child's sex.

The communicative disorders in cleft palate patients have relationship with the acoustic and He physiological phenomena. Particularily hypernasality is a parameter of cleft palate speech that has been studied by many clinicians and speech pathologists. The degree of hypernasality has been assessed by the listener,s judgement, but perceptual assessements have poor scientific reliability, so objective instruments have been needed to test hypernasality with diagnostics accuracy. This study was analyzed the nasalance score using a Nasometer for cleft palate patients. The simple vowels /a/, /i/, /e/ and the approximants /j/, /w/ were tested for the degree of hypernasality after operation. The phrases containing long and short duration times were used in this study to asses hypeernasality. Fiberopic views shows the open velopharyngeal port that resulted in hypernasality of cleft palate patients. The authors assert the important of the management of cleft palate patients.

Consumer involvement is one of the most important concepts in target marketing. Marketing managers seeking repeat business and a long term relationship with their consumers must understand the process underlying product evaluation. Therefore, the objective of this study was to find out the relationships between consumer involvement and product performance. Judgement sampling method through survey was utilized to collect the data and the subjects were 614 university students. Factor analysis, reliability test, and regression were used to analyze the data. The research results showed that there were three dimensions of product performance, so called, ‘aesthetic’, ‘utilitarian’, and ‘socio-interactive’. Consumer involvement was positively related to all dimensions of product performance. Understanding of the relationship between consumer involvement and product performance would contribute to build useful marketing strategies.

A paired comparison which is a method of comparative judgements is widely used to increase the amount of information transmitted to human sense organ. In this study, a paired comparison method is proposed for the discrimination capacity and preference analysis of non-skilled sensory inspectors. We consider on order effect, that is, difference of evaluation occurred as a result of sample presentation by random order. The purpose of this paper is to determine a sample with the highest preference degrees by analyzing a discrimination capacity and evaluating preference degrees of sensory inspectors. An analysis of a discrimination capacity is bared on the capacity index obtained by an eigen-vector method and an evaluation of preference degrees is performed by a significance test.

The chemical factory deals with dangerous element and more advance, human-error analyzes and becomes effective research for the country and region. This paper analysis the form of work-miss on human-error according to a safety accident for domestic chemical factory from 1999-2002. It include the present contents and raise issues human knowledge, behavior, judgment, sensibility as an important counter plan that makes the safety solution of work miss. For the point of view of human knowledge, it takes color standard for works to be effective in work place. For behavior, the test has been for risk Point of work place and infra worker movement, also the workers performed professional work as classify according to work. For judgement, the valuation sheet is reflected to minimize the human-error and the 3rd supervisor does a cross-check audit beforehand. For sensibility, it is applicable for human relations, information, communication by program to the consciousness and an attitude of worker-supervisor.

This subject,'S" apartment structural frame has not been achieved without considerable effort by all quality controller involved. Therefore, it is appropriate at this time to report by all the fact of concrete quality control in our site. These are emphasized that the average strength of placed concrete must always exceed the specified value of design strength used in the structural design phase. In general, quality of ready mixed concrete largely depends not only upon the manner of production and proper observance of recognized methods of placement, finishing, curing, transportation etc. ,but also many kinds of influential factors even more handling of the test procedure, As this practical report, approaching to judgement by analysis of sampled specimens in site weather placed concrete have satisfied quality compare the specified strength with the target strength which is applied to standard deviation related with influential factors as above mentioned. This study investigated how Korean learners of English acquired the English reflexives. There is emphasis on the effects of the GCP and PAP(Wexler and Manzini, 1987). The purpose is to examine the major hypothesis that L2 learners are still constrained by Universal Grammar (UG), despite the influence of the parameter setting of their native language as well as the non-operation of the Subset Principle. The experimental group consisted of 30 middle school students (age 14-15), 30 high school students (age 16-17), and 30 university students (age 18-19) as well as 20 ESL students (age 16) studying English in the USA. Twenty native speakers of English served as a control group. The subjects responded to a test on reflexives that used a multiple-choice grammaticality judgement task. Findings show that L2 learners transfer their L1 parameter setting and, as a result, make errors in the choice of antecedents for reflexives. Therefore, I argue that the L2 learner is still constrained by UG.
