Smartphones have become one of the most prevalent information devices in the current information environment. Although many people use smartphones for communication and information acquisition, these two functions are closely related and cannot be separated. However, many studies have focused on identifying each function of a smartphone independently. There are few studies that investigate the relationships between communication and information acquisition functions on smartphones. This research empirically analyzed and identified the relationships between these two functions of smartphones by conducting a survey. The results of the analysis showed that the activities for information acquisition make differences in communication on a smartphone. People who want to acquire more information tend to use a smartphone for communication purposes. Besides, communication activities on a smartphone also affect the acquisition of information. In addition, communication activities on a smartphone also affect the establishment of interpersonal relationships that lead to the acquisition of more information. From these results, it is identified that communication activities and information acquisition are interrelated when satisfying the information needs of smartphone users. Especially, communication activities on a smartphone positively affect people's information activities and enhance information acquisition.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of game addiction according to general characteristics and to confirm the effect of computer game addiction on communication ability. There were a total of 220 participants in the study. This survey for this study was a self-reporting questionnaire, research tools for this study were developed by Lee (2000) using game addiction and Communication ability developed by Frits et al., (1999). Data analysis was analyzed with frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Regression using SPSS 18.0. As a result of analysis, the difference between game addiction and communication ability by gender was appeared to be different under statistical significance levels: game addiction (t=-.9.2, p<0.01), subcomponents of communication ability, concentration (t=7.20, p<0.01), understanding (t=6.13, p<0.01), response (t=6.22, p<0.01), memory (t=2.88, p<0.05). The highest level of game addiction was appeared between 28 and 30 years old under statistical significance (p<0.01). Finally computer game addiction affects understanding, a subcomponent of communication capabilities.
In this paper, the IC(Integrated Circuit) for multi-channel synchronous communication was designed by using FPGA and VHDL language. The existing chips for synchronous communication that has been used commercially are composed for one to two channels. Therefore, when communication system with three channels or more is made, the cost becomes high and it becomes complicated for communication system to be realized and also has very little buffer, load that is placed into Microprocessor increases heavily in case of high speed communication or transmission of high-capacity data. The designed IC was improved the function and performance of communication system and reduced costs by designing 8 synchronous communication channels with only one IC, and it has the size of transmitter/receiver buffer with 1024 bytes respectively and consequently high speed communication became possible. It was designed with a communication signal of a form various encoding. To detect errors of communications, the CRC-ITU-T logic and channel MUX logic was designed with hardware logics so that the malfunction can be prevented and errors can be detected more easily and input/output port regarding each communication channel can be used flexibly and consequently the reliability of system was improved. In order to show the performance of designed IC, the test was conducted successfully in Quartus simulation and experiment and the excellence was compared with the 85C3016VSC of ZILOG company that are used widely as chips for synchronous communication.

With the acceleration of China's urbanization process, the economic development and market potential of small and medium-sized cities have been constantly enhanced, with the urbanization competition having been caught in the vortex of homogenization. However, small and medium-sized cities are exposed to limited resources and funds, and therefore need to be more flexible and innovative in the strategy implementation, while urban brand communication is one of the key factors to promote the competitiveness of cities. Taking the small and medium-sized cities in China as the research objects, this study, based on the domestic and foreign theories about the brand communication of small and medium-sized cities, as well as other city-related theories, analyzes textual materials about the current situation and new changes in brand communication of small and medium-sized cities with grounded theory, reflecting on the problems in brand communication in China's small and medium-sized cities. Combining the basic elements of urban brand communication, a model for constructing brand communication strategies for small and medium-sized cities is further proposed, so as to provide the differentiated and distinctive strategies for the construction and communication of urban brands in small and medium-sized cities in China, as well as provide a new perspective and strategy on how to enhance the competitiveness and contribute to the sustainable economic development of small and medium-sized.
Purpose : This study aimed to provide primary data for developing a program to enhance communication competence by identifying the patient-centered communication competency level of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses and the related factors. Method : Data were collected from August 28th to October 8th, 2015, from 199 ICU nurses working in 30 tertiary hospitals.
