SICI(Serial Item and Contribution Identifier)는 지식정보자원 식별체계에 대한 요구증가에 따라 이종간 컴퓨터시스템의 상호운용성과 데이터교환을 목적으로 개발된 표준이다. 이 논문에서는 연속간행물 관리와 관련된 메타데이터 표준인 Z39.56에 관해 소개하고자 한다. 또한 출판사, 도서관자동화시스템 개발업체, 서지데이터베이스 제작업체들의 Z39.56 ANSI/NISO 표준 적용사례를 조사하였다.

산업기술정보원(産業技術情報院)은 산업(産業) 및 과학기술 분야의 도서, 연속간행물(連續刊行物), 해외공관자료, 특허 등의 다양한 정보자료(情報資料)를 수집하고 있다. 본 논문은 산업기술정보원(産業技術情報院)에서 자체 개발(開發)한 자료관리시스템의 구성과 운영에 관하여 기술하였다. 본 시스템은 IBM 3090/150 E를 이용하여 개발(開發)되었으며, 수서, 목록, 검색, 대출, 연속간행물(連續刊行物) 관리의 하부 시스템으로 구성(構成)된다.

본고에서는 연속간행물 분야의 표준포맷인 SICI와 SISAC의 개념, 구조에 대해 고찰하였다. 또한 SISAC을 활용한 자동체크인 사례로 일본 JST의 LIRACS-II와 산업기술정보원의 자료관리 시스템을 소개한다.

This paper discussed which of the three basic entries of serials that changed their titles-earliest, latest, or successive entry cataloging-is the most efficient, informative, and economical in a manual and an online environment. The results of the study are as follow: 1. Earliest entry cataloging or as an alternative, successive entry cataloging advocated by Cutter in 1976 was replaced in ALA Cataloging Rules by latest entry cataloging and with AACR1 and AACR2, latest entry cataloging was replaced by successive entry cataloging again. 2. Entry method of serial cataloging should be determined in consideration of goals of catalog, efficiency of catalog retrieval, theoretical and practical standpoint of entry methods, average cataloging time and cost, the state of adaption. 3. In a card catalog environment, if the numbering and class number of the serial that title proper changed into initials itself continue and the title history must not be too complicated, the serial is desirable to entry under the latest title. Except for above case, successive entry cataloging enables serials to be more quickly and economically made available to users than with either earliest or latest entry cataloging. 4. In an automated catalog environment, successive entry cataloging has more potential of satisfying and impairs the efficiency of both accessing and processing a library's serials collection. However, when initial cataloging by MARC format is done, careful screen design and complex programming will be needed. And subfield containing the local record number should be added to the programming means to link the various records together, i.e., 780 (preceding title) and 785 (succeeding title) fields for all related titles.

이 연구의 목적은 한국과학기술정보연구원의 '과학기술 연속간행물 종합목록' 데이터베이스의 레코드의 품질을 평가하는 것이다. 일본어 연속간행물 172종의 MARC 레코드와 상세 서지 레코드를 대상으로, AACR2R와 KORMARC 등의 편목규칙과 기술표준을 기준으로 하여 각 필드별로 발생하는 오류의 유형을 분석하였다. 목록 레코드들은 불완전 혹은 최소기술 수준으로 작성되었고, 제한된 필드 내에서 발생되는 주요한 오류는 동일한 기본 표제와 축약 표제, 대등표제 선택의 오류, 영문 표제 기입의 오류, 불필요한 언어 코드의 사용, 발행지 오류 등을 포함하였다. 보다 우수한 종합목록의 구축을 위해 필요한 레코드의 정확성, 일관성, 완전성 둥의 품질은 편목규칙과 기술표준을 준수함으로써 현저히 제고될 수 있음을 입증한다.

[ $\ulcorner$ ]만세보$\lrcorner$에는 <해동영언>이라는 제목 하에 총 111수의 고시조 작품이 연재되어 있다. 이 글에서는 이 <해동영언>을 20세기 초반의 시조 텍스트로 간주하고 그것의 문헌학적 성격 및 가집 편찬사적 의미를 검토하였다. <해동영언>은 신문 연재물과 소규모 가집의 성격을 동시에 지닌다 이 연재물의 기본 형식은 '제목-음악적 표지-작가 정보-작품-단평'의 순으로 구성되어 있다. 이 가운데 이 연재물의 특징을 가장 잘 보여주는 것은 마지막의 단평이라 할 수 있다. 이 단평은 한문에 국문 토를 단 형식을 취하고 있으며. 신문의 독자층 확보를 위해 고안된 장치로 판단된다. 한편 <해동영언>은 연재된 작품 전체를 모아 놓고 보면 전반적 분류 체계나 동일 곡조 내의 작가 배열 방식 등에서 명백한 가집 편찬 의식을 엿볼 수 있어 소규모 가집으로 규정할 수 있다. 이 가집은 지나치다 싶을 정도로 형식적 완결성을 추구하고 있으며, 대중 보급용 독서물을 지향하는 의식이 강한 특징을 보인다는 점에서 20세기 가집의 특성을 명료하게 보여준다고 할 수 있다. <해동영언>이라는 연재물의 기획자 또는 이 가집의 편찬자는 $\ulcorner$만세보$\lrcorner$의 핵심 관계자-오세창, 이인직, 최영년. 신광희-중 한 명일 가능성이 큰 것으로 생각되며, 그 중에서도 여러 가지 정황으로 미루어 최영년일 가능성이 가장 높은 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 <해동영언>이 어떤 가집을 참조로 한 것인지에 대해서는 현재로선 밝힐 수 없어 그 판단을 유보하였다.

Looseleaf publications are truly a unique type of library material, partaking simultaneously of the nature of serials and monographs. Therefors, two disparate methods of cataloging looseleaf publications coexist today. But the decision to catalog looseleaf publications as serials as monographs affects the acquisition, budget allocation, receipt, record maintenance, and user access. In view of these aspects, this study analyzed the sources of information and seven areas of description (title and statement of responsibility ; edition ; publication, distribution, etc. ; physical description; series ; note ; standard number and terms of availability) of CRDLP2 as the exclusive cataloging rules of looseleaf publications. The results of the analysis were summarized in chapter 4 in detail. Finally, it is desirable that looseleaf publications for updationg are cataloged as monographs since the bibliographic description applied to looseleaf publications follows so colosely that of monographs. And, the cataloger must pay partioular attention to describe the physical description area because of numerous changes of the bibliographic records accompanied by frequent revisions or updates of the publications.

This paper focuses on a scheduling problem of military training. Repetitive and identical training over multiple serials is a common type of military education. A simple but systematic method is suggested to determine a training schedule for small groups divided from each serial. A satisfactory training schedule and the number of such small groups can be determined by iteratively solving assignment problems with additional constraints. With this method, loads of instructors can also be balanced without violating constraints associated with precedence and continuity relationships among lectures.

본(本) 논문(論文)은 산업기술정보원(産業技術情報院)에서 자체 개발(開發)한 도서관리(圖書管理) 시스템인 KINITI-LIS의 구성(構成) 및 파일 구조(構造)에 관하여 기술하였다. 본(本) 시스템은 수서(收書), 목록(目錄), 검색(檢索), 대출(貸出), 연속간행물관리(連續刊行物管理) 등 5개 서브시스템으로 구성(構成)되었으며, 대부분의 파일들은 VSAM을 기본으로 구축(構築)하였다.

"East and West Medicine Research Society Monthly View" was published 7 times to revive and develope the Eastern medicine that was in downward trend with an "review the old and learn the new" attitude to unite the East and West medicine. This magazine was lead by the East and West Medicine Research Society and therefore an academic magazine. Its contents mostly consist of lecture type serials. This is because the purpose of the magazine was to reeducate physicians of the Chinese school or to educate the people who had purpose on medicine. The contents of "East and West Medicine Research Society Monthly View" has many serials on various subjects such as Eastern Medicine, Western Medicine, East and West Medicine, and SaSang medicine. Puting in articles about hygiene to put in many writings about living health shows the effort in trying to treat epidemics with Korean Medicine.
