The launch of a new business is crucial to the future growth and profitability of a company. A new business project typically requires a large amount of resources while it has a high possibility of failure. The evaluation of new business opportunities is therefore quite a critical decision-making to companies. This evaluation includes screening of a large number of criteria at a time which often makes desision-making very complicated. Management should evaluate the business alternatives in a sound and consistent manner that is hard to achieve because the new business evaluation is a typical semi/unstructured decision-making problem. The difficulty in such an evaluation will increase if it is required for management to consider both quantitative and qualitative criteria simultaneously. Under these circumstances, this study has proposed a decision-making framework that utilizes analytical hierarchy process(AHP). This study has identified a set of criteria essential to the new business evaluation and suggested a systematic framework for it. Both qualitative and quantitative evaluations are incorporated into the single framework in this study.

This paper explores and proposes the evaluation criteria of design projects in the entry-level design course. In the entry-level engineering design course the students proceeds various design projects to understand the concept of engineering design process and to develop the creativity. The evaluation criteria of design projects is very important component because the outcome of students in the engineering design course are effected from the evaluation criteria that enforces the students to focus on doing their task. According to this case study the evaluation criteria can be good solution to evaluate the design projects. By the outcome standard of ABEEK on the entry-level engineering design course the evaluation criteria was selected with the results of design projects such as design plan, report, handicrafts, objectives.

The purpose of this research is to develop a webcasting site evaluation model, to estimate the relative importance of factors affecting the performance of webcasting sites, and to derive the CSFs of the sites. Evaluation model consists of 6 first-level evaluation factors and 23 second-level evaluation factors. This study compares the evaluation scores of website with those of the customer satisfaction. We inspect seven hypotheses. Hypothesis)(H1) tests correlation of the evaluation scores of website and those of the customer satisfaction. Hypothesis2(H2)$\sim$Hypothesis7(H7) tests if 6 first-level factors(planning, program & form, design, technology, interface, content) have an impact on customer satisfaction. In order to test the hypotheses, correlation analysis and regression analysis are performed. As a result of empirical tests, all Hypotheses$(H1){\sim}H7)$ are accepted and its implications are discussed.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the components of newness and product innovativeness of smart clothing, and to examine the evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing according to the consumer innovativeness. The survey was conducted on male and female subjects aged from 17 to 50. A total of 338 valid responses were used for the analysis. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the evaluation of smart clothing newness consisted of five items: 'novel', 'modern', 'original', 'fresh' and 'up-to-date'. The evaluation of smart clothing innovativeness consisted of two dimensions. One is the evaluation of innovativeness as clothing and the other is the evaluation of innovativenss as electronic devices. The validity of two dimensions were verified by confirmatory factor analysis. The results of ANOVA and Duncan test indicated that there were differences in the evaluation of newness and smart clothing innovativenss according to consumer innovativeness.

In this study, the complexity of the product was evaluated quantitatively considering the product structure, assembly process and disassembly process. To evaluate the complexity of the product, subassemblies of automobile were analyzed and then characteristics of part and subassembly were determined according to product structure, assembly process and disassembly process. Evaluation criteria of complexity were determined considering each characteristics of part and subassembly. Experiential evaluation was accomplished by classified evaluation criteria and time-motion evaluation was accomplished by the relational motion factor with characteristics of part and subassembly in MTM(Methods Time Measurement) and WF(Work Factor). The total complexity of product was determined by experiential evaluation and time-motion evaluation.

This paper proposes the approaches to the evaluation of learning using concepts of artificial intelligence. Among various techniques, deep learning algorithm is employed to achieve quantitative results of evaluation. In particular, this paper focuses on the process-based evaluation instead of the result-based one using face expression. The expression is simply acquired by digital camera that records face expression when students solve sample test problems. Face expressions are trained using convolutional neural network (CNN) model followed by classification of expression data into three categories, i.e., easy, neutral, difficult. To substantiate the proposed approach, the simulation results show promising results, and this work is expected to open opportunities for intelligent evaluation system in the future.

For the comfortable housing life, comfortable and pleasant urban environment should be created for the people living in house and in city. There are lots of environmental conditions in city affecting house and life. Also most of all the noise pollution have been become major factor that makes people's life uncomfortable. Recently soundscape researches have been performed to create comfortable urban environment and various studies on the evaluation of urban environmental sounds are now undergoing. This study aimed to analyse the subjective characteristics through the subjective evaluation to the sounds measured with physical parameters and eventually to find out alternative evaluation method for urban environmental sounds. Adjectives applied to previous studies were used for the subjective evaluation and sound sources recorded in specific places were presented with picture at the same time. As a result, new physical parameters such as Lmax, Unbiased Annoyance, G, N and EmT have a feasibility to evaluation of urban environment sounds in terms of acoustic comfort.

Median rank is used to systemize the evaluation of research personnel in a research institution. Suggested evaluation system is purposed to enhance the fairness, distinguish the factors of evaluation and maximize the synergy of researchers. The factors of evaluation are largely divided into the subjective and the objective factor. The final rank of the researchers is determined with the converted median rank value. The propriety of applying median rank is tested by Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. We also suggest the method of determining the rank of researchers. This evaluation system is not fixed in special case but can be changed in situation. It also can be applied to any other personnel evaluation system through the appropriate revision.

The studies on impression formation usually have focused on the effect of certain appearance features which elevates perceptual evaluation. This study tried to find out whether there is a consensus on impression formation between the perceived person and the perceiver and if the gender is any significant variable to cast any difference on the impression evaluation. Seven photos of voluntary students in ppt file were projected to 143 students attending a university psychology class and were subjected to a impression evaluation questionnaire consisting of 28 adjective scales. The analysis of result revealed: 1) There was a significant difference between the impression evaluation scores of the perceivers and the perceived; the self evaluation of the perceived person was higher than the perceivers' evaluation. 2) There was also a significant evaluation score difference between the genders of the perceivers; the female perceivers rated the stimuli higher than the male perceivers. There was no interaction effect between the genders of the perceivers and the perceived.
