This study presents an experimental study of the structural behavior for steel plate-concrete column-to-steel girder connections. Experiments were carried out to investigate the moment-rotation characteristics, failure behavior and ultimate moment capacity of these connections. The results of this experimental study involving three welded moment-resisting connections subjected to cyclic loading are presented. The specimens were fabricated at full scale to evaluate their hysteretic behavior. A description of the test specimens, the details of the joint, the test system and the testing methods are described. The test results showed that the structural behavior of these composite connections was influenced by the connection details.

This study presents a structural health monitoring (SHM) method for bolted connections by using multi-channel wireless impedance sensor nodes and multiple PZT-interfaces. To achieve the objective, the following approaches are implemented. Firstly, a PZT-interface is designed to monitor bolt loosening in bolted connection based on variation of electro-mechanical(EM) impedance signatures. Secondly, a wireless impedance sensor node is designed for autonomous, cost-efficient and multi-channel monitoring. For the sensor platform, Imote2 is selected on the basis of its high operating speed, low power requirement and large storage memory. Finally, the performance of the wireless sensor node and the PZT-interfaces is experimentally evaluated for a bolt-connection model Damage monitoring method using root mean square deviation(RMSD) index of EM impedance signatures is utilized to estimate the strength of the bolted joint.

This study is to examine adhesion the characteristics of self adhesive asphalt to minimize of the construction periods and the environmental problems through the performance estimation of materials to reduce waterproof problem and the long durability maintenance of building structures. This study tested the estimation items of self rubberized adhesive asphalt to examine the sheet discovered the most important problem in the construction site and the connection stability in the sheet joint. Besides, this study examined the material characteristics such as tension property, tear property, temperature dependence, heat resistance, adhesion stability and so on. Test results of the separative items satisfied in the reference figure of connection stability and adhesion stability which could confirm adhesion performances and other items also satisfied in the reference.
This paper is concerned with an experimental study on structural behavior of Concrete-Filled Circular Tubular(CFCT) column to H-beam connections. The important parameters are the number of inner reinforced rib and the width of H-beam flange(100, 150, 200mm) with variable column thickness(5.8mm, 9.2mm, 12.5mm) around the joint between CFCT and H-beam. Test results are summarized for the displacement, strength, initial stiffness, failure mode and energy absorption capacity of each specimen. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the initial stiffness and the strength of connections to evaluate the structural behavior of the CFCT column to H-beam connections. From the discussion about the test results, the basic data for non diaphragm connection design would be suggested.

Recently, square hollow section (S.H.S) is frequently used for column and H-section for beam of steel building structures. The connection between S.H.S column and H-beam is found to weaken the rotational restraint of the joint. Several types of detail to overcome the problem have been suggested for the connection between concrete filled S.H.S column and concrete composited H-bean In this paper, modelling technique to monitor the behavior of the connections is proposed. Then, Drucker-Prager yield criteria is introduced to simulate yield behavior of in-fill concrete while Von-Mises was used in earlier works. Gap-elements are also introduced to simulate the interaction between S.H.S columns and the in-fill concrete as in privious papers. axial forces are applied to S.H.S columns and made to vary in intensity and eccentricity.
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) has commonly been used to strengthen existing RC structures. Wrapping the whole component with CFRP is an effective method and simple to execute. Besides, specific configuration of CFRP sheets (L, X and T shape) has also been considered in some experiments to examine CFRP effects in advance. This study aimed to provide an optimal CFRP configuration to effectively retrofit the beam-column connection using continuous material topology optimization procedure. In addition, Moved and Regularized Heaviside Functions and penalization factors were also considered. Furthermore, a multi-material procedure was also used to compare with the results from the single material procedure.

Green frame is combined by structural steel and reinforcements of Green column and beam and unified by cast-in-place concrete. However, when upper reinforcements penetrate structural steel hole, the execution is difficult due to interference of joint and a rib of deformed reinforcements. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose the reinforcement tools to improve productivity of precast structure connection construction. The reinforcement tools proposed in this study can be helpful to improve constructability, safety, duration, and cost comparing with conventional reinforcement method since unskilled workers can deal with reinforcements easily.

The purpose of current study is about how to construct wall-type APT in slip form and Deck plate applied different connection of materials that wall and slab. A proposal construct's solution is using the continuous a binding string that the main of contents are slab or stairs which horizon structure part construction is joined the vertical structure part, new we Proposed of 2 solution that new technology development. We'll suggest that the development is in the construct of higher stories APT more better other construction method. We expect that the new method is good but we have many things to solute themes. Thus, we decided that this development contents are needed that correct structural investigation and constructor's security of speciality and through a fact construct, correct verification.

The purpose of this research was focused on substantiating an effects of tendon-layouts and compressed stress($=f_{pc}$) induced by post-tensioning on seismic performance of post-tensioned flat plate slab-column connection designed as non-participating system. To accomplish this purpose, an experimental research of flat plate exterior slab-column connections subjected to gravity load and reversed lateral displacement history are presented. As a result, tendon-layout is a main variable to influence failure mechanism, dissipated energy and lateral deformation capacity. Furthermore, compressed stress ($=f_{pc}$) induced by post-tensioning enhanced the seismic performance of flat plate slab.
This paper presents a simplified approach for the design of semi-continuous composite beams in braced frames, where specific attention is given to the effect of joint rotational stiffness. A simple composite beam model is proposed incorporating the effects of semi-rigid end connections and the nonprismatic properties of a 'cracked' steel-concrete beam. This beam model is extended to a sub-frame in which the restraining effects from the adjoining members are considered. Parametric studies are performed on several sub-frame models and the results are used to show that it is possible to correlate the amount of moment redistribution of semi-continuous beam within the sub-frame using an equivalent stiffness of the connection. Deflection equations are derived for semi-continuous composite beams subjected to various loading and parametric studies on beam vibrations are conducted. The proposed method may be applied using a simple computer or spreadsheet program.
