  • This study aimed to examine the impact of workers' perceptions of the safety climate on job satisfaction and intention to turnover in the manufacturing industry. Data was collected from employees(n=143) working in the manufacturing industry. The perceived safety climate included perceptions of the safety commitment of the management, safety leadership of the immediate supervisor, and safety policy. Hierarchical regressions were conducted to identify the significance of the relation between the sub-variable of the perceived safety climate and job satisfaction, and intention to turnover. The results show that safety commitment and safety policy are significant predictors of job satisfaction. The immediate supervisor's safety leadership was significantly correlated with intention to turnover. These results indicated that the perceived safety climate of workers in the manufacturing industry might influence job satisfaction and intention to turnover. Therefore, organizations in the manufacturing industry should focus on improving safety climates to enhance job satisfaction and prevent employee turnover.

  • This study aimed to analyze the six personality factors of rehabilitation therapists and to identify the effects of these factors on their job stress and turnover intention. This study involved physical therapists and occupational therapists as rehabilitation therapists. A structured questionnaire was distributed to rehabilitation therapists, and 186 answered copies were used for data analysis. The results of the survey were as follows: Among the six personality factors, the rehabilitation therapists showed the highest level of honesty-humility and the lowest level of openness to experience. In terms of job stress, the subjects experienced the highest level of stress from job autonomy and the lowest level of stress from relationship conflict. In terms of turnover intention and work motivation reduction, the subjects scored above the median points, showing their high levels of turnover intention. In addition, higher levels of extraversion and agreeableness in the rehabilitation therapists led to a statistically significant reduction in their turnover intention and a statistically significant decrease in most of their job stress factors. Based on these results, organizational management aimed at increasing the personality factors of extraversion and agreeableness is necessary as a measure to effectively manage rehabilitation therapists' job stress and turnover intention.

  • This study aims to suggest research implications that may contribute to preventing turnover of personnel in small and medium sized software companies. A research model is developed based on the Bergiel, et al. (2009) and Woo and Hwang (2010). This model describes how human resource management (HRM) practices (compensation, recognition, job autonomy, technical capability development, work-life conflict) affect turnover intention, through the mediating effects of job satisfaction and job embeddedness. 177 questionnaires are collected and analyzed. Validity and reliability of measures, and appropriateness of the structural model are verified. Results of the hypotheses testing are somewhat different from the expected ones: Only compensation and technical capability development are significant, but the remaining variables are not significant in affecting job satisfaction and job embeddedness. As for turnover intention, job embeddedness and job satisfaction are proved to be significant predictors. From the analyses of data, subsequent interview with several respondents and additional data analyses, more research implications are derived. The study has a limitation of not including more diverse variables that might affect job embeddedness and job satisfaction of so called road warriors.

The children's lack of leadership and administrative support work overload factors contributed to causes of stress. The turnover intention appeared to affect the mind. Second, early childhood teachers job satisfaction, job stress and turnover intention were affected by attempts to mediate the influence of job stress. Therefore, mediation plays a significant role. • This study reviewed the previous research materials and made a positive investigation to identify the structural interrelation of caddies' emotional labor, job stress and turnover intention. Some analytical findings are as follows: First, the job stress increases in proportion as the emotional labor. Second, the turnover intention is not in proportion as the frequency of emotional display or the subordinate element of the emotional labor but the degree of the emotional expression and dissonance. Third, the turnover intention is in proportion as the job stress. In other words, the higher the emotional labor, the more the job stress and turnover intention. Consequently, the caddies should be highly qualified to express themselves according to their job conditions. Also, the stronger the caddies' job stress, the more their turnover intention. It is necessary to use the leadership to relieve the job stress and motivate the caddies to have the pride. My solution will have a positive effect on lessening the job stress and turnover intention.
