To design the modified hull form with relatively unfavorable dimensions and constraints than the parent ship the stepwise design was applied. In each design step the resistance characteristics was estimated by numerical calculations using CFD programs as Wavis 1.4, Wavis 2.1 and Fluent 12.1. The wave profiles along hull surface by potential flow calculations were investigated to improve wave resistance by modifying the bow shapes. To improve the stern shapes with a point of viscous form resistance the pressure distributions on hull surface and the limiting streamlines are investigated by viscous flow calculations. The design objectives such as shortening the LBP, enlarging the propeller tip clearance, moving forward of the LCB location and increasing the displacement were applied by stepwise to develop the new hull form of DWT 75,000 product oil carrier. Finally a new hull form was developed without the resistance performance loss compared with the parent ship.

This essay exams the issues of aesthetic elements that come up when Korean novels get translated into Chinese language. The short story collection titled "An old well" written by Jeong Heui Oh in both languages are compared and analyzed by focusing on the mode of narrations. There are various narrative modes in "An old well". Each narrative mode properly functions for aesthetic effects and drawing meanings. In short, we can find a way to grasp its leitmotif the writer wants to indicate only when we carefully interpret the narrative modes in the original text. However, the narrative modes in Korean text have been simplified by changing its modes into direct narrative in Chinese-translated text. Thus the aesthetic effects in the original text have been spoiled and the Chinese text fails to deliver its meaning involved in the original narrative mode. Translation of novel invites consideration on both of its form and content on account of the text's uniqueness. Accordingly, a close examination and study of the original text should be completed beforehand.

The Cho-sun Dynasty had put in operation positive Jeong-Pyo Policy for diffusion Confusion ethics, educate the people and control the mind of the people. Prize methods for Jeong-Pyo Policy are Jeong-Ryeo, Jeong-Moon, remit corvee, present a post and present goods. The purpose of this prize was to memory filial piety, faithful wife, faithful subject and there was Confucianism inside. The building of Jeong-Ryeo had been built by king order. When a family got a Jeong-Ryeo form a king, the family had great honor, and it became a village's great pride. Although Gyeongnam province has the most people who have taken the prize, yet it is insufficient of the present condition or the architectural analysis data about Jeong-Gak. In this study, I considered architectural characteristics of Jeong-Gak in the West Gyeongnam.

Initial hull form of 10 G/T and 40 knots class coastal patrol boat is newly developed. The resistance performances are experimentally and numerically investigated by model test at high speed circulating water channel(CWC) and CFD technique. The effect of a fin attached at hull side and initial trim are studied together. Wave patterns are observed to make clear the relation between the resistance performance and the wave characteristics. it can be found that the initial trim plays a role to increase the resistance performance above a certain velocity.

This study investigated the pressing conditions in the molding of aspheric glass lenses for the mega pixel phone camera module using the DOE method. Tungsten carbide (WC; Japan, Everloy Co., 002K),which contained 0.5 w% cobalt (Co), was used to build the mold. The mold surface was ultra-precision ground and polished, and its form accuracy (PV) was 0.85um in aspheric surface. We selected four factors, pressing temperature, force and time of first step, and force of second step, respectively, as the parameters of the pressing process. in order to reduce the number of experiments, we applied fractional factorial design considering the main effects and two-way interactions. The analysis results indicate that the only two main effects, the pressing temperature and the time of pressing step 1, are available for the form accuracy (PV) of the molded lens. The analysis results indicated that the best combination of the factors for lowering the form accuracy(PV) value of molded lens was to have them at their low levels.

The equilibrium structures, relative energies and NBO analyses for the possible conformations and transition states which can exist on the internal rotation of CPDFB and CPCFB molecules have been investigated using DFT and ab initio methods with various basis sets. The interaction between bonding orbital ((C1-C3, C2-C3)) and antibonding orbital (n*(B9) and *(B9-Cl11)) was the main characteristic hyperconjugation in both molecules. In addition, the stabilization energy of CPDFB was 6.63kcal/mol and that of CPCFB was 6.97(E-form)/6.79(Z-form) kcal/mol for each conformation. The rotational barriers by internal rotation of BF2- and BFCl- functional groups were evaluated to be 5.3~6.7kcal/mol and 5.7~6.5kcal/mol respectively, which showed good agreement with the experimental values reported by previous dynamic NMR study. Finally, Z-form was more stable than E-form by 0.2 kcal/mol in CPCFB molecule and therefore Z-form was confirmed as global minimum.

Two new marine sponges in genus Suberites, S. hataedoensis n. sp and S. waedoensis n. sp have been collected from Hataedo Island and Waedo Island, Korea during 2005-2006. S. hataedoensis n. sp. is similar to S. durissimus in the spicule composition and texture. However, they differ in growth form, skeleton and surface. S. waedoensis n. sp. is similar to S. japonicus in spicule composition and skeleton. However, they differ in growth form, surface and texture.

In this paper we deal with approximate controllability for semilinear system in a Hilbert space. In order to obtain the controllability, we assume that the system of the generalized eigenspaces of the principal operator is complete in the state space, which has a simple form and can be applied to many examples. Because of its simple form, some examples of controllability of the systems governed by the semilinear equations will be given.

We explore the structure and usefulness of CERES plot as a basic tool for dealing with curvature as a function of the new predictor in generalized linear models. If a predictor has a nonlinear effect and there are nonlinear relationships among the predictors, the partial residual plot and augmented partial residual plot are not able to display the correct functional form of the predictor. Unlike these plots, the CERES plot can show the correct form. This is illustrated by simulated data.
