The purpose of this study was to present a making method of jeans pattern with high fitness after deriving the appropriate shrinkage rate by material and washing process. According to the result of the exterior evaluation of test jeans, all 6 jeans were rated high with scores close to 3.5. Following the evaluation of satisfaction of usage by physical movement, the highest ranking was in the order of walking with normal steps, back bending $90^{\circ}$, chair sitting, climbing stairs and squatting. The shrinkage rate by physical area showed the highest score in the order of pants length, waist circumference, thigh circumference, knee circumference, hem circumference, hips circumference. In addition, the shrinkage rate was higher in warp direction than weft direction after washing finishing. As for the result of addition and reduction of pattern measurements by parts of jeans, waist circumference was $3.1{\sim}5.1cm$, hips circumference was $-1.2{\sim}4.2cm$, thigh circumference was $-0.9{\sim}3.1cm$ and pants length was $3.4{\sim}6.1cm$. That is, this results showed a wide range of addition and reduction according to material and washing finishing.
The purpose of this study was to present a making method of jeans pattern with high fitness after deriving the appropriate shrinkage rate by material and washing process. Research Method of jeans pattern was presented after applying the optimized shrinkage rate. According to the result of the exterior evaluation of test jeans, all 6 jeans were rated high with scores close to 3.5. Following the evaluation of satisfaction of usage by physical movement, the highest ranking was in the order of walking with normal steps, back bending $90^{\circ}$, chair sitting, climbing stairs, and squatting. The shrinkage rate by physical area showed the highest score in the order of pants length, waist circumference, thigh circumference, knee circumference, hem circumference, hips circumference. In addition, the shrinkage rate was higher in warp direction than weft direction after washing finishing. As for the result of addition and reduction of pattern measurements by parts of jeans, waist circumference was $2.5{\sim}5.2cm$, hips circumference was $-1.8{\sim}2.8cm$, thigh circumference was $-1.3{\sim}2.0cm$ and knee circumference was $-1.0{\sim}1.7cm$. Also, hem circumference was $-1.0{\sim}1.8cm$ and pants length was $2.9{\sim}6.2cm$. That is, this results showed a wide range of addition and reduction according to material and washing finishing.
The present study was conducted to analyze high school students' attitudes toward jean brand counterfeits relative to their self-esteem and self-consciousness. The study was implemented through a normative-descriptive survey using questionnaire. The sample consisted of 605 high school students from 6 high schools located in Seoul. Data were analyzed by mean, cluster analysis, regression, ANOVA and Duncan's test. The results were as follows: (1) As a whole, the mean values of preference and purchasing intentions toward counterfeit jeans were 2.99 and 2.83, respectively, indicating a slightly low average on the 5-point Likert scale. The results indicated that 45.5% of respondents have more than one item of counterfeit jeans. (2) Differences were found in the level of self-esteem and public self-consciousness among the three groups, who were classified by the level of purchasing intention and preference toward counterfeit jeans. Among the three groups (high/middle/low), the group having low purchasing intention and preference toward counterfeit jeans showed higher self-esteem and public self-consciousness than the other two groups. (3)Regression analysis showed that the self-esteem and public self-consciousness of high school students have an impact on the amount of purchasing of counterfeit jeans. (4)In the process of developing effective policies against the jean brand counterfeits market, it should be fully considered that high school students' purchasing intentions regarding jean brand counterfeits are related to their self-consciousness. It could be said that the policies followed to eliminate counterfeits and to enhance the consumer ethics of high school students will be more effective when those policies are accompanied by efforts to form their sound self-consciousness, especially in the areas of self-esteem and public self-consciousness.

The Korean jean market has become increasingly competitive due to the increased imports of global brands. This study is to understand the purchase behaviors of Korean college students toward foreign brand jeans to help Korean jean brands enhance their competitive advantages over foreign brand jeans in the Korean market. Considering perceptions of Korean consumers toward foreign brands and traditional value changes, this study proposed a research model incorporating two extended behavioral intention (BI) models, Lee's modified BI model and Ajzen's theory of planned behavior. To test the research model, a total of 240 valid data sets were collected from college students in Busan, Korea. Structural and measurement models were estimated using LISREL 8.80. Because face saving failed to attain internal validity, the research model was revised to eliminate face saving. The findings indicated that perceived behavioral control had the strongest direct influence on purchase intentions of Korean college students for foreign brand jeans. Group conformity and subjective norm had non-significant direct impacts on purchase intention, whereas group conformity had an indirect impact on purchase intention through attitude. Based on the findings, theoretical and managerial implications were provided.

Blue jeans are finished with stonewashing process to give it optimal softness and color contrast of blue and white. So, Yellowing may well be generated during storage or use and thereby, their appearance may be damaged much. So, this study was aimed at finding the solutions to reduce the yellowing problem caused by residual metals after stonewshing. To this end, sample blue jeans were made to be finished with various methods of wet-treatment and then, be subject to daylight to check their photoyellowing. The results of this test can be summarized as follows; Since the stonewashing process was found to affect the yellowing, the residual metals of stone- washed blue jeans was analyzed. And it was found that it contained such residual metal as Al, Ca, Cu, Ti, Si, K and Zn. In particular, it was conceived that Al was a prime cause affecting the yellowing. Meanwhile, when the blue jeans were treated by the metal ionchelating agent of EDTA-2Na, the residual levels of Al and Ti were reduced by about 50%, while the photoyellolving was lowered by 75%, which is suggesed that EDTA is very effective in preventing the yellowing. On the other hand, when the blue jeans were bleached by the hypochlorite, chlorine remained in blue jean accelerated the yellowing. However, when this blue jean was treated again by the sodium thiosulfate for its dechloridization, the residual of chlorine was reduced, and the yellowing was lowered by about 43%.
