Oxygen is a key substrate in animal cell metabolism and its consumption is thus a parameter of great interest for monitoring and control in animal cell culture bioreactor. The use of a gas-permeable membrane offered the possibility to provide the required quantity of oxygen into the culture. while avoiding problems of foaming or shear damage generally linked to sparging. For determining the optimum DO control strategy of this gas-permeable membrane aeration bioreactor, the oxygen transfer rate coefficient was measured with varying $N_2$ ratio in inlet air. The results showed that an increasing mass flow rate of nitrogen reduced the $K_La$ value. and 5% nitrogen in air did not result in any oxygen limitation.

Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccines were produced from Vero cells by using lively attenuated virus strain. The MOI of 0.1.' serum concentration of 2%. initial pH of 8.0. and infection time of 3 days were found to be optimum conditions for vaccine production. The treatment of polycation enhanced the virus production. When ascorbic acid was added as an antioxidant, NDV production was also enhanced. Utilization of $CaCl_2$ showed an inhibitory effect on the propagation of NDV. It was also found the ammonium ion concentration higher than 4mM inhibited virus production. Thus ammonium ion removal system was tried for the efficient production of NDV vaccine.

Parallel genetic algorithms are particularly easy to implement and promise substantial gains in performance. Its basic idea is to keep several subpopulations that are processed by genetic algorithms. Furthermore, a migration mechanism produces a chromosome exchange between subpopulation. In this paper, a new selection method based on non-linear fitness assignment presented. The use of proposed ranking selection permits higher local exploitation search, where the diversity of populations is structure. Experimental results show that the relation between local-global search balance and the probabilities of reaching a desired solution.

This paper is to investigate the behavior of linear static structure stress, the fatigue and experimental shock fracture far engine base in the Auxiliary Power Unit to resolve its restricted electrical power problem. The shock fracture test was experimentally made under MIL standard criteria. The numerical results by finite element method had a good agreement with those from the shock test. The design data of predicting the fracture at the initial crack and the damage behavior of structure with shock and vibration load in the battle field can be obtained from shock test. In the functional shock test, the crack at the side parts of the engine base was found at peak acceleration of 40g.

A suspended microstrip line structure over mushroom-like SMPs is designed and is applied to a dual-frequency and dual-polarization microstrip patch antenna. This structure has a distinctive and sharp rejection band and provides near 0 dB insertion loss outside the rejection band. Applying the structure to the conventional DFDP antenna enhanced the isolation between the two ports more than 20 dB. The structure is expected to have a wide range of applications in antennas and filters due to its compactness and integrability in circuits.

본 연구는 동해안 속초항에 정방형 직교격자체계(Regular Grid)와 직교-곡선 격자체계(Orthogonal Curvilinear Grid)를 이용하여 SWAN 모형에 적용시켜 각 격자체계에 따른 파랑변형의 특성을 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구결과 북방파제가 연장 중인 방파제 선단에서 회절현상이 관측 되었으며, 속초 해수욕장 인근에서의 해안선 형상에 따라 굴절 효과로 인하여 입사 파랑의 벡터들이 해안선에 수직하게 입사되는 현상이 관측 되었고, 특히, 조도 주변에서 파랑의 굴절 효과와 차단효과를 관찰할 수 있다. 정방형 직교 격자체계와 직교-곡선 격자체계의 계산결과는 유사하나 직교-곡선 격자체계가 해안선에서 보다 정밀한 계산 값을 얻을 수 있었다. 하지만 직교-곡선 격자체계는 계산시간이 최소 4배 이상 증가하는 단점을 가지고 있다.

영상에서 경계선의 추출의 저수준 영상 처리에서 매우 중요하다. 하지만 대다수의 경계선 추출 방법들은 노이즈들의 영역이 많기 때문에 효율적이지 못하고 영상이 서로 다르기 때문에 유연하지 못하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제 해결을 위하여 우선 노이즈 감소 단계를 제시한다. 그리고 점진적인 변화 폭의 히스토그램과 내부 클래스 최소 변이상의 양쪽 임계값들을 자동으로 선택하도록 한다.

영상에서의 경계선 추출은 원 영상의 노이즈에 의해 크게 영향을 받는다. 따라서 먼저 그 노이즈들을 제거할만한 어떤 방법들이 필요하다. Mean Shift 알고리즘은 이러한 목적에 부합되는 유연한 함수로서, 별로 중요하지 않은 정보와 민감한 노이즈 부분을 점점 제거하는데 알맞다. 여기서는 Canny 알고리즘을 사용하여 중점으로 하는 영상에서의 윤곽선을 찾아낸다. 그리고 테스트 하고 이전의 유일한 Canny 알고리즘 보다 결과가 좋음을 알아낸다.
