At an integrated steel mill, raw materials such as coal and iron ore are discharged by ships through multiple unloaders. The discharged raw material is then transported to storage yards through multiple routes established simultaneously on a fairly complicated belt conveyer network. Formulating an efficient unloading schedule is a quite cumbersome task due to the insufficient number of berths and unloaders as well as the potential conflict among routes being used simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a solution approach to the scheduling problem and describe the prototype system that we built as an implementation of our approach.

This paper presents an image-space algorithm to real-time collision detection, which is run completely by GPU. For a single object or for multiple objects with no collision, the front and back faces appear alternately along the view direction. However, such alternation is violated when objects collide. Based on these observations, the algorithm has been devised, and the implementation utilizes the state-of-the-art functionalities of GPU such as framebuffer objects(FBO), vertex buffer object(VBO) and occlusion query. The experimental results show the feasibility of GPU-intensive collision detection and its performance gain in real-time applications such as 3D games.

Mevinolic acid (MA), a secondary metabolite produced by a filamentous fungus Aspergillus terreus, is acidic form of lovastatin which has been identified as a powerful cholesterol-lowering agent in humans. When immobilized cell culture was performed, MA production was about 5.3-fold higher than the parallel suspended cell culture. Although the immobilized cells proliferated slowly during exponential in comparison with the suspended cells, oxygen uptake rate and oxygen mass transfer coefficient of the immobilized cell culture were about 1.3- and 2.5- fold higher respectively than those of the parallel suspended cell culture. From these results, it was concluded that MA biosynthesis was closely dependent on the cell growth rate, morphology and oxygen availability.

기업의 경제적 성과측정 또는 경제적 척도로서 토빈의 Q는 가치에 대해 산출된 경제적 가치를 계산함으로써 이론적인 경제적 효율성의 개념에 가장 근접한 개념으로 평가되고 있다. 그러나 정확한 계산이 어려운 토빈의 Q대신 실제로는 회계적 수익률, 주가 수익률 및 장부가격 대비 시장가치 비율(MB)등이 편의상 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 성과 측정 변수들간의 상관관계를 실증적으로 검증함으로써 이들 세 유형의 변수들이 토빈 Q의 대용적(代用的) 변수(變數)로서 신뢰성과 유용성이 있는지를 판정하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 MB를 제외하고는 이들 변수들이나 또는 이들의 조합이 토빈 Q비율을 충분히 설명하기에는 너무 미흡하여 토빈 Q의 대용변수로서 경제적 효율성의 판단기준으로 사용될 경우에 그 신뢰성에 의문이 제기될 여지가 있음을 시사하고 있다. 특히, 회계적 수익률은 토빈 Q비율에 대한 설명력이 현저히 낮을 뿐 아니라, 이러한 결과는 수익률의 이동평균을 사용하거나, 연구개발비나 계열기업집단의 소속여부에 의해 잠재적인 무형자산의 영향을 반영할 수 있도록 수익률을 보완하여 사용하더라도 그 설명력이 크게 개선되지 않는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

Carbon nanotube arrays were fabricated using micro molding in capillary (MIMIC) process. Patterns remained on the surface in the pattern complementary to that present in the mold. CNTs were selectively grown on the MIMIC patterned sites with a triode PECVD. And turn on field for $10\;{\mu}A/cm^2$ electron emission current was $2.2\;V/{\mu}m$ turn on field.

The purpose of this paper is to verify the appropriation of power electronics circuit by applying the most powerful and widely used simulator PSPICE and SIMULINK for adapted variable control technics. Power semiconductor macro modeled by SIMULINK such as DC motor and AC induction motor. Furthermore DC motor & AC induction motor are modeled by PSPICE through their algorithms. For proved these modelings accurate, simulation techniques which are generally used in the field of power electronics circuits are adapted in power electronics and systems

Two-layered ferromagnetic alloy films ($Ni_{80}Fe_{20}$, $Co_{90}Fe_{10}$) with a Conetic intermediate soft magnetic layer of different thickness were investigated to correlate the coercivity values and magnetization process with the strength of the hard saturation field. The interpretation of strong, medium and weak coupling is proposed.

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) is nuclear hormone receptors that can be activated by a variety of compounds. Two PPAR gamma isoforms are expressed at the protein level in mouse, gamma 1 and gamma 2. And PPAR gamma is intimately associated with cell differentiation and proliferation[1]. So aim of this study, investigated where express PPAR gamma in mouse gastric cancer tissues, including human gastric cancer cell lines and expression pattern of PPAR gamma. (omitted)
