Development of Production Information System for An Auto-parts Industry (자동차 부품 업체를 위한 생산정보시스템의 개발 사례)

  • In recent, most'of automobile industries adopt the concept of JIT production. According to the concept, the paternal manufacturers require their suppliers to supply parts just in time, so it is very important for a subcontractor to produce the parts in the appointed time of delivery. This study develops a production information system for Woosin Industry, which is one of such subcontractors of Hyundai Motors Company(HMC). The system is developed for use in Client/Server environment. In this study, the following three modules are developed, i. e., the production scheduling module, the sales management module to deal with the information about orders of HMC, delivery of parts, and bill collecting, and the module for supporting material requirements planning and purchase of material.

  • A recently developed alternative to traditional production planning and control systems such as material requirement planning(MRP) and just-in-time(JIT) is the drum-buffer-rope(DBR). The DBR now being implemented in growing number of manufacturing organizations enables better scheduling and decision making on the shop floor. In implementing the DBR, however, an information system is usually needed to transmit the signal that runs from the constraint to material release. In this paper we propose a different mechanism to transmit the signal in the case that the demand of product is stable, which uses the well-known Kanban system. To improve the reality, this paper shows and example of the Kanban format, its operation, and calculation of the number of Kanbans.

  • This study deals with analysis of material from in Tube manufacturing line. This line is a multi product flow ship type production line, which consists of 5 steps of work station. Some work stations involve in unnecessary moving activities of workers and much work in-process storage due to the non-systematic material flow with respect to the different lot size production of multi-items. To improve productivity for this line, one alternative is considered such as grouping two work stations by using GT and JIT concepts. Also, feasibility analysis for this alternative is performed using and simulation model built by SIMAN IV simulation language.

  • 이 논문은 TOC(Theoyv of Constraints) 기반의 DBR(Dyum-Buffey-Rope) 스케줄링 기법의 기본 개념을 소개하고. 이 기법이 저음 개발되어 오늘에 이르기까지 실제 생산기업에 적용되고 이론적으로 발전되어온 역사를 문헌을 중심으로 고찰하는 것이다. DBR 스케줄링 기법의 기본 개념 및 구조를 간단한 사례를 중심으로 설명하였으며. 1998년 처음 개발된 이후 발표된 논문을 중심으로 프로세스 산업적용, 반도체 산업 적용, DBR과 ERP 통합, MPS 문제, 버퍼 크기 문제, 공급망 관리와의 연계, VAT 분석, JIT와의 연계, 서비스 산업에의 적용. 일반 산업응용 사례, DBR 시스템 개발 등으로 나누어 문한 분석을 한 결과를 제시하였다. 마지막으로 향후 DBR 기법의 발전 방향 등에 대하여 논의하였다.

Planning A Customer Transportation System Operation using Simulation (시뮬레이션을 이용한 고객 수송 시스템 운영 방안 수립)

  • The purpose of this research is to propose an efficient loop line operation plan for customer transportation in a new theme park. Based on the expected customer arrivals, customer loading/unloading methods, and scheduled/non-scheduled departure schemes, movement time between stations etc., we have performed indepth analyses and derived the best optimal policy. Our results show that, over all, the operation with separate loading/unloading doors and scheduled departure is preferred to the other options. We then derived the optimal number of trains and cars meeting minimal customer unsatisfaction with low cost for each season.

  • Just-In-Time production is to keep the kanban system. When production managers implement and operate successfully the system in the multi-Line, multi-stage production setting, it is very important to determine the number of kanbans in deterministic kanban system under consideration with relevant factors as well as with cost. In concrete, we discuss about following factors in kanban system and provide a model formulating the multi-objective goal programming : Demand, stock on hand in process, Inventory cost and Labor cost, Vendor's suppling capacity, Work Load. Finally we analyze several numerical examples in order to test the model and attempt to expand the model in general case.

  • The purpose of this research entails the study of the multicriteria graph-theoretic Facility Layout Problem(FLP), the development of a Decision Support System(DSS), and a sensitivity analysis for graph Theoretic heuristics. The graph theoretic FLP Decision Support System gives decision makers or planners more information as a guide in producing their final layouts. This information is provided by a variety of final result scores, so called upper bound values, based on different options and different criteria. The increased information provided will give decision makers more confidence in design a block plan. One case is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the system to real-world problem. Finally, applicabilities of the DSS to other format layouts, such as GT layout and JIT's U-line, are briefly mentioned.

  • By successful establishment of Supply Chain Management System they should make the supply chains speedy and combine production information system with the outcome system and thus they reinforce the competition of the production system of local enterprises in accordance with the rapid decision making. Supply chain coordination improves if all supplier of chain take actions that together increase total supply chain profits. To design of Modularity by the grouping supplier, the proposed method is to develop the most appropriate production system models through the reflection of JIT system in the Supply Chain Management which is necessity of the times and its importance. The objects of this study is to develop the most appropriate production system Model and optimal profit model in the process line and to provide the enterprises with the models which are based on the Supply Chain Management.
