Development of piston contact mechanism for radial piston pump (레이디얼 피스톤 펌프의 피스톤 접촉 메커니즘 개발)

  • This paper presents the experimental results of the radial piston type oil pump with new mechanism for a metal diaphragm hydrogen compressor. Generally, metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor systems are operated by oil hydraulic power. In this system an oil compensating pump has been demanded to compensate for a leakage oil head chamber. The metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor consists of an oil compensating pump, commonly used hydraulic piston pump and driven by main crank shaft. The radial piston type oil compensating pump with new rolling contacted piston mechanism is developed and experimented. The developed piston element of the radial piston pump consists of piston, steel ball, return spring, two check valves, eccentric cam and ball racer. In this study, designed 4 type pistons as and orifice hole. Operating characteristics and pressure ripple characteristics are tested under no load to 60bar loaded with every 20bar increasing step and pressure ripple and flow rate are experimentally investigated.

  • To improve the performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump driven by the tapered piston, it is necessary to know the driving characteristics and mechanism of the tapered piston and the cylinder block. Since each piston not only rotates on its axis and reciprocates in the cylinder bore, but also revolves around the axis of the driving shaft, it is difficult to analyze the driving mechanism theoretically. The theoretical mechanism for the bent-axis type axial piston pump is studied by using the geometrical method. The driving range of the tapered piston is determined by theoretical equations. The experimental results show that the cylinder block is driven by one tapered piston in a limited range and the core parameters such as driving factor of the piston and the ahead delay angle influenced performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump.

  • 본 연구에서는 Digital radiography(DR) 의 X선 필름 제작방식인 직 간접방식의 장점을 가지는 하이브리드 X선 필름를 수행하였다. 형광체로는 Gd2O3:Eu를 제작하였고, 광도전체로는 낮은 누설전류의 특성을 보이는 PbO를 사용하여 Screen printing 방식으로 100um, 200unm, 300um의 두께를 가진 X선 필름을 제작하였다. 그 결과 200un의 두께를 가진 하이브리드 X선 검출기의 Signal 10 noise 의 값이 기존의 사용화 되고 있는 a-Se 기반의 X선 필름보다 200 이상의 SNR을 얻을 수 있었다. 아직까지 기초 단계에 있는 하이브리드 X선 필름의 제작 방식은 향후 더 많은 연구를 통해 기존의 방식을 대체 할 수 있는 신기술, 신개념의 제조공정이 될 것으로 사료된다.

Optimization of $Alq_3$-coated FTO substrate for high efficient of DSSC (염료감응형 태양전지의 고효율화를 위한 $Alq_3$가 코팅된 FTO기판 제작)

  • Recently high and persistent spontaneous buildup of a surface potential (SP) upon vacuum deposition of tris (8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminum (III) ($Alq_3$), which is widely used for organic light emitting devices. The removal of the giant surface potential by visible light irradiation has also been reported. In this study, we coated $Alq_3$ on the FTO substrate and raise the capacity for absorbing sun light. The $Alq_3$ which is green light emitting diode emits light at wavelengths between 500 and 550nm. If we apply one's FTO/$Alq_3$ substrate in one's DSSC, we could get higher energy conversion efficiency because the N719 dye that we used for fabricating the DSSC emits light just at near 540nm. The energy conversion efficiency of approximately 4.8 % at the condition of irradiation of AM 1.5 (100 mW/$cm^2$) simulated sunlight, and the $J_{sc}$ is 12.0 mA/$cm^2$, $V_{oc}$ is 0.71 V, FF is 0.56, respectively.

  • PTC Thermistors specimens were fabricated by added $MnO_2$ as donors, and $Nb_2O_5$ as acceptors and sintered $1250^{\circ}C$/2hrs. Average grain size decreased with increased in added $MnO_2$, and increased with added in $Nb_2O_5$. But, appeared liquid phase as $Bi_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$, affect to grain growth. XRD result, peak strength waslowed then crystallization not well, but, secondary phase were not showed all specimens. All specimens resistance were so high, about $40M{\Omega}$ over, couldn't measured to those resistance and doesn't appear PTCR effect.

  • It is observed from SEM images that many voids were created after annealed by helium gas. The PL spectra of the ZnO samples revealed the strong violet emission peaks at 3.05 eV with the relative weak near band edge UV emissions. It was concluded from experiment results that native $Zn_i$ and $V_o$ donor defect levels can be generated below the conduction band edge due to the incorporation of helium atoms decomposed from helium gas into the ZnO matrix. He atoms in ZnO matrix will affect the interface trap existing in depletion regions located at the grain boundaries, which leads to the creation of $Zn_i$ and $V_o$ donor defect levels.

  • This high pressure synchrotron X-ray diffraction study examined the change of bulk modulus of C-S-H(I), core material creating strength in alkali-activated slag cement as well as structural model of C-S-H, mainly attributed to Al-substitution for Si, which occurs at the bridging tetrahedral sites in dreierketten silicate chains in the nanostructure of C-S-H(I). This study presents that Al-substitution in C-S-H(I) does not affect the bulk modulus of C-S-H(I), which is surprising because many researchers have expected that Al-substitution should induce some critical change in mechanical properties of C-S-H(I).

  • This paper introduces a GP (Genetic Programming) based robust technique for the prediction of a heavy rain newsflash. The nature of prediction for precipitation is very complex, irregular and highly fluctuating. Especially, the prediction of heavy precipitation is very difficult. Because not only it depends on various elements, such as location, season, time and geographical features, but also the case data is rare. In order to provide a robust model for precipitation prediction, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP is suggested. The remaining part of the study is to evaluate the performance of prediction for a heavy rain newsflash using a GP based nonlinear regression technique in Korean regions. Analysis of the feature selection is executed and various fitness functions are proposed to improve performances. The KLAPS data of 2006-2010 is used for training and the data of 2011 is adopted for verification.

Design, Control and Localization of Underwater Mine Disposal Robots (수중 기뢰 제거 로봇의 설계, 제어 및 위치 추정)

  • This paper describes the design, control, and localization which comprise major aspects of the development of underwater robots for the mine disposal. The developed robots are called the Mine Killer (MK-1) and MK-2. MK-1 had been developed from September 2009 and was presented at the 9-th International Symposium at NPS Monterey CA, on May 17-21, 2010[1]. The paper presents design of MK-1 and MK-2 in detail with comparison of these two versions of MKs. Then it derives hydrodynamic coefficients of MK-1. Based on the coefficients, the motion of MK-1 is simulated for straight line motion and circular motion. Also simulation results for PD control, LQ control and sliding mode control are presented. Finally, it shows a particle filter method for localization of MK-1 and MK-2 using simple range data from acoustic beacons.

TRAO를 이용한 ORION A의 $^{12}CO$, $^{13}CO$ 관측

  • Orion A 분자운은 별탄생이 활발하게 일어나는 영역이면서 태양계에 비교적 가깝다. 그렇기 때문에 낮은 분해능으로도 자세한 관측이 가능하다. Orion A 분자운까지의 거리가 450 pc 이므로 대덕전파안테나 1' beam으로 0.13 pc 가 된다. 이곳에는 필라멘트 구조가 있는데 FCRAO를 통한 다파장관측을 통해서 필라멘트 구조가 확인되었다.(Melnick et al. 2011). 필라멘트는 길이 4.8 pc, 너비 1.5 pc 로 대덕전파망원경의 1' beam으로 자세한 관측이 가능하였다. 2010년 11월-2011년 5월까지 Orion A 분자운을 대덕전파망원경을 이용하여 $^{12}CO$, $^{13}CO$(J=1-0) 분자선 관측을 하였으며, 관측영역은 적경: 5h 32m - 5h 37m, 적위: $-5^{\circ}$ 14' - $-5^{\circ}$ 37'으로 ($1^{\circ}{\times}1^{\circ}$) 영역을 관측하였다. 그 결과 필라멘트구조를 확인할 수 있었으며 일자 형태로 분포되어 있다는 구조적 결과 얻었다. 관측된 필라멘트 덩어리의 전형적인 크기는 약 0.7 pc, 밀도는 약 $10^4cm^{-3}$, 질량은 약 500 $M_{\odot}$이다. 매우 밀한 곳은 1000 M${\bigodot}$이상의 질량분포도 나타내고 있다. 이것은 이 지역이 일반적인 분자운과 비교했을 때 고밀도 영역임을 나타내고 있다. 더욱 자세한 밀도구조와 질량분포를 밝혀보고 별탄생과의 관련성을 연구하고자 한다.
