Elevator stops emergently when power failures happen during operation. In that case, the passenger should wait with frightened in the car untill they are rescued by repair man or power resumes. This paper describes an automatic landing device for power-failure(ALP) that consists of UPS and battery charge control system. The excellence of the ALP operation is verified by experiments in elevator test tower.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the depths of the Rees algebra R[It] and the associated graded ring g $r_{I}$(R) of an ideal I in a local ring (R,m) of dim(R) > 0. The relationship between the Cohen-Macaulayness of these two rings has been studied extensively. Let (R, m) be a local ring and I an ideal of R. An ideal J contained in I is called a reduction of I if J $I^{n}$ = $I^{n+1}$ for some integer n.geq.0. A reduction J of I is called a minimal reduction of I. The reduction number of I with respect to J is defined by (Fig.) S. Goto and Y.Shimoda characterized the Cohen-Macaulay property of the Rees algebra of the maximal ideal of a Cohen-Macaulay local ring in terms of the Cohen-Macaulay property of the associated graded ring of the maximal ideal and the reduction number of that maximal ideal. In this paper, seminormality and t-closedness in ring extensions involving amalgamated algebras are studied. Let $R{\subseteq}T$ be a ring extension with ideals $I{\subseteq}J$, respectively such that J is contained in the conductor of R in T. Assume that T is integral over R. Then it is shown that ($R{\bowtie}I$, $T{\bowtie}J$) is a seminormal (resp., t-closed) pair if and only if (R, T) is a seminormal (resp., t-closed) pair.

Control Rod Control System(CRCS) is to control nuclear reaction of reactor by moving Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) with speed and direction signal from Reactor Regulating System(RRS). CRCS is made up of two parts : control cabinet and power cabinet. And this paper presents mainly power cabinet design for system reliability. To increase reliability of power cabinet, controller, power supply and communication line arc doubly designed and supervision and diagnosis function are applied.

The active layer thickness and curing condition dependent performance of an organic thin film transistor (OTFT) with inkjetted organic semiconductor (OSC) layer is studied The best performance of the OTFT was found when the thickness of ose was ~120 nm cured at $60^{\circ}C$. The performance enhancement of the OTFT with inkjetted OSC layer was discussed by comparing the OTFT with spin-coated ose layer.
