  • A SRM inverter has very low switching frequency. This results in reducing the burden for a high-speed of the gate-amp interface circuit. and the linearity of optocoupler is used to protect the intanteneous peak current for the stable operation In this paper, series resistor is used to equal the current sharing of each switching device and a linear gate-amp is proposed to protect the intanteneous peak current which occurs in transient state.

  • In this paper, a novel new pulse power generatorbased on IGBT stacks is proposed for pulse power application. Proposed scheme consists of series connected 9power stages to generate maximum 60kV output pulse and one series resonant power inverter to charge DC capacitor voltage. Each power stages are configured as 8 series connected power cells and each power cell generates up to 850VDC pulse. Finally pulse output voltage is applied using total 72 series connected IGBTs. The synchronization of gating signal is importantfor series operation of IGBTs. For gating signal synchronization, full bridge inverter and pulse transformer generates on-off signals of IGBT gating and specially designed gate power circuit was used.

  • It is impossible to drive induction motor through line-commutated inverter without the forced-commutation. Therefore, the forced-commutated circuit is proposed in this paper. The line-commutated inverter is operated by load commutation in abovea half of the rated frequency. In this paper, the experimental result is presented by the IM driving.

  • This paper presents solutions for fault detection and diagnosis of two-level, three phase voltage-source inverter (VSI) topologies with IGBT devices. The proposed solutions combine redundant standby VSI structures and contactors (or relays) to improve the fault-tolerant capabilities of power electronics in applications with safety requirements. The suitable combination of these elements gives the inverter the ability to maintain energy processing in the occurrence of several failure modes, including short-circuit in IGBT devices, thus extending its reliability and availability. A survey of previously developed fault-tolerant VSI structures and several aspects of failure modes, detection and isolation mechanisms within VSI is first discussed. Hardware solutions for the protection of power semiconductors with fault detection and diagnosis mechanisms are then proposed to provide conditions to isolate and replace damaged power devices (or branches) in real time. Experimental results from a prototype are included to validate the proposed solutions.

  • This paper deals with the power loss analysis of voltage source type space voltage vector modulated soft switching inverter, and proposed the new voltage vector correction principle during one sampling period on realize high quality cutput voltage waveforms for two soft-swiching approches. The operating pinciple of a single active auxiliary resonant DC link snubber circuit is described. Moreover, the effectiveness of soft switching inverter operating under the corrected voltage pattern is proved on the basis of simulation and experimental results.

  • The optimum design technology using combind F.E.M and eauivalent circuit is so fast and accurate that it can be applied to the optimum rotor design of an inverter-fed induction motor in high efficiency motor making industry. The optimum characteristics fer a rotor slot model of a 3 phase inverter-134 nduction motor was previously verified by a time-step F.E.M. In this paper, four verification models with the design variables near the optimum point are designed to chech whether the characteristics of a slot model presented is not less than those of the near models. The outputs of whole models are analyzed in a time-step Finite Element Method and compared in the experimental test. The economical and efficient selecting method of design variables fur the computer simulation and experimental test is presented in order to assure the optimum point.

  • In this paper voltage distribution in the windings of an inverter fed induction motor is studied. High frequency parameters of the induction motor are calculated using finite element analysis. With these parameters. a high frequency equivalent circuit of the inverter-cable-motor is formed. The transient analysis is performed using ATP-EMTP package to estimate the voltage distribution in the motor windings.

  • This paper presents quaternary D flip-flop with advanced performance. Quaternary D flip-flop is composed of the components such as thermometer code output circuit, EX-OR gate, bias inverter, transmission gate and binary D flip-flop circuit. The designed circuit is simulated by HSPICE in $0.35{\mu}m$ one-poly six-metal CMOS process parameters with a single +3.3V supply voltage. In the simulations, sampling frequencies is measured around 100MHz. The PDP parameters and FOM we estimated to be 59.3fJ, 33.7 respectively.

  • This paper deals with the development of three phase 440[V], 500[KVA] Inverter system using the IGBT Devices. IGBT's have been used very successfully in variable frequency induction motor drive equipment. Problems associated with power devices characteristics when power devices are operated in parallel, such as balanced switching behavior and thermal stability, can be solved by using NPT type IGBT's. By Experimental results, it is confirmed that the voltage overshoot and reverse recovery current was very low. The equipment had proved to be reliable and short circuit proof. In addition, the performances in term of thermal characteristics, protection functions and stability are satisfactory.
