The remaining life estimation for the aged components in power plants as well as chemical plants are very important beacuse mechanical properties of the components are degraded with time of service exposure in high temperature. Since it is difficult to take specimens from the operating components to evaluate mechanical properties of components, nondestructive techniques are needed to estimate the degradation. In this study, test materials with 4 different degradation levels were prepared by isothermal aging heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$. And the DC potential drop method and destructive methods such as tensile, $K_{IC}$ and hardness tests were used in order to evaluate the degradation of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steels. The objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of the application of DCPD method to estimate the material degradation, and to analyse the relationship between the electrical resistivity and the degree of material degradation.

Used domestic aggregate for concrete pavement, the splitting tensile strength of concrete were investigated and quantitative analyses for the characteristics of the experimental factors were evaluated. This paper reports the results of curing temperature and age on the splitting tensile strength and it suggests a prediction model based on these experimental results. Tests of cylindrical specimens made of granite as a coarse aggregate, cured in isothermal conditions of 0, 23, and $45^{\circ}C$ and tested at the ages of 1, 7, and 28 days are reported. Based on the experimental result, the relationships between the splitting tensile strength and maturity were analyzed and proposed.

It is very important to evaluate the surface or subsurface microstructure because of their influences on mechanical properties of materials. Surface SH-wave which is horizontally polarized shear wave traveling along near surface and subsurface layer is an attractive technique for material evaluation. The destructive method is widely used for the estimation of material degradation but it has a great difficulty in preparing specimens from in-service industrial facilities. In this study, nondestructive evaluation for degraded structural materials used at high temperature though surface SH-wave method is discussed. 2.25Cr-1Mo steel specimens which were prepared by the isothermal aging heat treatment at $650^{\circ}$ were evaluated though ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation techniques investigating the change of sound velocity, attenuation coefficient and amplitude spectra. In addition, it has verified experimentally the frequency-dependence of attenuation coefficient though wavelet analysis method.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the solder properties by the change of P mass percentage. Tension test, wetting balance test, spread test, and analysis of intermetallic compound after isothermal aging of Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.005P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.01P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.02P, Sn-0.7Cu-0.005P were performed. Adding P in the solder alloys resulted in improvement of tensile strength, reduction of intermetallic compound growth, reduction of oxidization in fusible solders under wave soldering. After comparing solder alloy containing P with tin-lead eutectic solder alloy, P contained solders alloys showed much better solder properties than eutectic solder alloy. Furthermore, this solder alloy presented remarkable properties than any other lead-free solder alloy.
A literature review was conducted to gather informations available on the welding metallurgy of aluminum alloys, emphasized on characteristics in the heat affected zone(HAZ). Nominal metallurgical reactions that occur in aluminum alloys provide a basis for understanding aluminum welding metallurgy. However, welding reactions differ to some extent because of the relatively short times involved, and the non-isothermal heating excursed. For non-heat treatable alloys, welding primarily affects these alloys by annealing (recrystallization and growth) and to a less extent, changes in low temperature precipitates. In the case of heat treatable alloys, the resulting HAZ properties depend upon alloy composition, starting temper, heat input and post weld heat treatments.
Since Cr-Mo-V steel has excellent fracture and creep properties at elevated temperature, they are extensively used as steam turbine components such as the turbine rotor. However, the turbine rotor steel used to suffer material degradation during long term service. Therefore, the assessment of the safety and residual life of the turbine rotor is periodically required during service. One of the most convenient techniques for that is the hardness method mainly due to its simplicity and nondestructive characteristics. In this research, six specimens with different aging times of turbine rotor steel were artificially prepared by an isothermal heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$. The micro Vickers hardnesses of specimens were measured at room temperature. The relationships between the fracture properties and the hardness ratio were investigated. And also an indirect method to evaluate the residual life of degraded turbine rotor was proposed based on the micro Vickers hardness measurement.

Giant magnetoresistance(GMR) of $Cu_{85-x}Co_{15}Ni_{x}$ melt-spu ribbons is closely correlated with the microstructure produced by the spinodal decomposition. The solid solution range is extanded by the replacement of Cu by Ni in the as-quenched state. The wavelengths obtained by subsequent isothermal aging in Cu-Co-Ni ribbons are shorter than those in Cu-Co binary ribbons, resulting in the increase of the surface-to-volume ratio. The largest MR ratio of 8 % in high field has been achieved in the $Cu_{80}Co_{15}Ni_{5}$ aged ribbon. The field dependence of MR ratio in low fields becomes larger with the Ni content.
This paper investigates the relationships between dynamic elastic modulus and static elastic modulus or compressive strength according to curing temperature, aging, and cement type. Based on this investigation, the new model of the relationships we proposed. Impact echo method estimates the resonant frequency of specimens and uniaxial compression test measures the static elastic modulus and compressive strength. Type I and V cement concretes, which have the water-cement ratios of 0.40 and 0.50, are cured under the isothermal curing temperatures of 10, 23, and 50$\^{C}$ Cement type and aging have no large influence on the relationship between dynamic and static elastic modulus, but the ratio of dynamic and static elastic modulus comes close to 1 as temperature increases. Initial chord elastic modulus which is calculated at lower strain level of stress-strain curve, has the similar value to dynamic elastic modulus. The relationship between dynamic elastic modulus and compressive strength has the same tendency as the relationship between dynamic and static elastic modulus according to cement type, temperature and aging. The proposcd relationship equations between dynamic elastic modulus and static elastic modulus or compressive strength properly estimates the variation of relationships according to cement type md temperature.

The destructive method is reliable and widely used lot the estimation of material degradation but, it have time-consuming and a great difficulty in preparing specimens from in-service industrial facilities. Therefore, the estimation of degraded structural materials used at high temperature by nondestructive evaluation such as electric resistance method, replica method, Barkhausen noise method, electro-chemical method and ultrasonic method are strongly desired. Ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation technique has been reported good to attain efficiency of measurement, high sensitivity of measurement, and rapidity and reliability of result interpretation. In this study, it was verified experimentally the feasibility of the evaluation of degraded 2.25Cr-1Mo steel specimens which were prepared by the isothermal aging heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$ by high frequency longitudinal wave method investigating the change of attenuation coefficient by FFT analysis and wavelet transform. Because of carbide precipitation increase and spheroidization near grain boundary of microstructure to aging degradation, attenuation coefficient had a tendency to increase as degradation proceeded. It was identified possibly to evaluate degradation using the characteristics of high-frequency ultrasonics. Frequency dependence of ultrasonic attenuation coefficient to aging degradation appeared large, which made sure that attenuation coefficient is an important parameter for evaluation of aging degradation.
