  • Chemical behaviors of each surface material for interior facilities affect to fire initiation and growth in general fire situation. These chemical behaviors were characterized by thermal properties (Heat release rate, Pyrolysis rate, specific heat, etc) which could be derived from experimental test. Especially, Heat release rate which indicates aspect of fire size is one of the most important property to asses fire hazard and protection needs. The cone calorimeter test (ISO 5660) has recently assumed to a dominant role in bench scale fire testing to obtain the Heat release rate of materials. This value could be calculated by the 'Oxygen Consumption Method' under various producing irradiances to each surface of materials. In this study, Process of the cone calorimeter test was simulated by Pyrolysis model of FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator by NIST) base on the ISO 5660 international standard. Then, we could estimate the simulation method of FDS in case of single materials through the comparative study with test results.

회주철의 수축결함생성에 미치는 주조방안 및 화학조성의 영향 (Effects of Risering Design and Chemical Composition on Formation of Shrinkage Cavity in Gray Cast Iron)

  • The effects of risering design and alloying element on the formation of defects such as external depression, primary and secondary shrinkage cavity in gray cast iron were investigated. Two types of risering design for the cylindrically step-wise specimen, No. 1(progressive solidification) and No. 2(directional solidification) risering designs, were prepared and five different alloy compositions were casted. In the No. 1 risering design, external depression or primary shrinkage cavity due to liquid contraction was observed in all the specimens from ISO 150 to ISO 350. The primary shrinkage cavity was located right under the top surface or connected to the top surface, and was characterized by smooth surface. Its size increased with an increase in ISO number. However, neither secondary shrinkage cavity nor swollen surface was observed in all the castings. In the No.2 risering design, neither primary shrinkage cavity nor secondary shrinkage cavity was observed in all the specimens due to proper risering design. A swollen surface was also not observed in all the castings with the application of pep-set mold.

초음파에너지를 이용한 칡으로부터 이소플라보노이드의 추출공정 최적화 (Optimization of Iso-flavonoids Extraction Process from Kudge Using Ultrasonic Irradiation Energy)

  • 본 연구에서는 칡으로부터 항산화 물질을 추출하는 방법으로 초음파 추출공정을 이용하였으며, 칡에 포함된 iso-flavonoids인 puerarin, daidzein, daidzin의 함량을 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 칡으로부터 iso-flavonoids 추출수율의 최대화를 위한 공정조건의 최적화를 위해 통계학적 분석방법인 반응표면분석법을 적용하였다. 이는 최소한의 실험횟수로 원하는 반응치에 부합하는 공정조건을 효과적으로 도출하고 각 공정조건이 반응치에 미치는 효과도를 분석하는 방법이다. 반응표면분석법 중 중심합성계획모델을 적용하여 최적조건을 분석하였으며, 3개의 독립변수는 초음파 조사시간, 주정/초순수 부피비, 초음파 조사세기로 설정하였다. 반응표면분석법을 이용하여 두 개의 반응치인 추출수율과 iso-flavonoids 함량의 최대값을 갖는 최적조건을 평가한 결과 초음파 조사시간(24.75 min), 주정/초순수 부피비(39.75 vol%), 초음파 조사세기(592.36 W)로 나타났다. 종합 만족도 D는 0.8938로 높게 나타났으며 5% 이내의 유의성 수준에 인정된다. 또한 최적화 과정을 분석한 결과 초음파 조사시간이 반응치에 가장 영향을 많이 미치는 인자임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • $Pt/MoO_3/SiO_2$ 촉매계에서의 $50^{\circ}C$ 등온 환원 실험에서 hydrogen spillover는 소성 온도가 증가함에 따라 더욱 빠른 속도로 진행된다. 이는 Pt 표면위에 형성되는 overlayer에 기인하는 것임을 TEM과 CO chemisorption 측정으로 알 수 있었다. 1-butene의 iso-butene으로의 골격이성질화 반응 mechanism은 carbonium ion의 형성과 methyl기의 골격 치환의 2 step으로 알려져 있다. $Pt/MoO_3/SiO_2$ 촉매계에서 약 $250^{\circ}C$에서 calcination하면 iso-butene 수율이 증가한다. 이는 $PtCl_x$ precursor 내에 존재하는 chlorine의 감소에 의한 것과 overlayer 생성에 따라 Pt 표면으로부터 $MoO_3/SiO_2$로의 hydrogen spillover의 증가에 의한 것으로 추측된다.

  • It is very important to select suspension solution for forming electrophoretic deposited YBCO thick mm, because it is heavily affected to its superconducting properties. In this paper, high-temperature superconductor films of $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ were fabricated by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) from alcohol-based suspension such as iso-propanol, iso-butanol, and their mixture. For the formation of YBCO dense and adherent coating on a silver wire by EPD, 1 % PEG(1000) 2 ml, as a additive for making their surface crack-free, was used for electrophoresis. As a results, the cracks were considerably decreased and the superconducting critical current density $(J_e)$ without/with PEG was $1200A/cm^2$ and $2020A/cm^2$, which films deposited in mix iso-propanol and iso-butanol suspension.

자율운항선박의 육상제어 기술 관련 ISO 국제표준 검토에 관한 기초연구

  • 자율운항선박 (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship, MASS) 관련 기술이 전 세계적으로 활발히 개발되고 있는 가운데, 우리나라에서도 여러 국가 연구개발 과제를 통한 기술개발이 진행 중 이다. 한편 우리나라 기술 기반의 표준화는 미흡한 수준이다. 국내 선도 기술에 대한 국제표준기구(ISO) 국제 표준 개발을 위하여 자율운항선박 기술 분야와 연계되어 개발되었거나 개발 중인 ISO 표준 분석을 진행하였고, 이를 기반으로 육상제어 기술에 대한 표준화 검토 결과를 제시할 예정이다.

pH-Dependent surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering of yeast iso-1-cytochrome c adsorbed on silver nanoparticle surfaces under denaturing conditions at pH < 3

  • We measured the pH-induced spectral changes of yeast iso-1-cytochrome c on silver nanoparticle surfaces using surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) at 457.9 nm. At a pH of ~3, the Met80 ligand in yeast iso-1-cytochrome c is assumed to dissociate, leading to a marked conformational change as evidenced by the vibrational spectral shifts. The Soret band at ~410 nm in the UV-Vis spectrum shifted to ~396 nm at pH~3, indicating a transition from a low spin state to a high spin state from a weak interaction with a water molecule. Thus, SERRS spectroscopy can measure the pH-induced denaturalization of cyt c adsorbed on metal nanoparticle surfaces at a lower concentration with a better sensitivity than ordinary resonance Raman spectroscopy.

Generation of Discrete $G^1$ Continuous B-spline Ship Hullform Surfaces from Curve Network Using Virtual Iso-parametric Curves

  • Ship hullform is usually designed with a curve network, and smooth hullform surfaces are supposed to be generated by filling in (or interpolating) the curve network with appropriate surface patches. Tensor-product surfaces such as B-spline and $B\'{e}zier$ patches are typical representations to this interpolating problem. However, they have difficulties in representing the surfaces of irregular topological type which are frequently appeared in the fore- and after-body of ship hullform curve network. In this paper, we proposed a method that can automatically generate discrete $G^1$ continuous B-spline surfaces interpolating given curve network of ship hullform. This method consists of three steps. In the first step, given curve network is reorganized to be of two types: boundary curves and reference curves of surface patches. Especially, the boundary curves are specified for their surface patches to be rectangular or triangular topological type that can be represented with tensor-product (or degenerate) B-spline surface patches. In the second step, surface fitting points and cross boundary derivatives are estimated by constructing virtual iso-parametric curves at discrete parameters. In the last step, discrete $G^1$ continuous B-spline surfaces are generated by surface fitting algorithm. Finally, several examples of resulting smooth hullform surfaces generated from the curve network data of actual ship hullform are included to demonstrate the quality of the proposed method.

스테레오 정합과 중간 등위면 마칭큐브를 이용한 3차원 재구성 (3D Reconstruction Algorithm using Stereo Matching and the Marching Cubes with Intermediate Iso-surface)

  • 본 논문은 스테레오 정합(stereo matching)과 마칭큐브(marching cube)알고리즘을 통합하는 효과적인 알고리즘을 제안한다. 여러 각도에서 획득한 영상에 대해 스테레오 정합 기술을 적용하여 3차원 형상 데이타를 획득하고 카메라 외부 파라미터를 이용하여 결합하였다. 결합된 데이타를 영상 색인을 이용하여 메쉬로 재구성한 다음 각 점에 해당하는 법선벡터를 획득하고 메쉬 평탄화(mesh smooth)의 과정을 거쳐서 데이타를 부드럽게 처리하였다. 본 논문은 3차원 메쉬 재구성에 대한 일련의 과정 및 기술을 서술하였으며, 기존의 마칭큐브 알고리즘에서 생기는 3차원 데이타의 불안정에 대한 문제를 중간 등위면(iso-surface) 알고리즘을 제안하여 개선하였다.
