하구의 염수침입을 해석하기 위한 연직 2차원 수치모형 개발 (Development of a Laterally Averaged 2-Dimensional Model for Saltwater Intrusion in Estuary)

  • 하폭으로 평균된 2차원 동수역학 수치모형을 수입하였다. 수심방향으로 좌표변환하여 자유수면과 하상의 불규칙성에 대한 영향을 최소화하였다. 지배방정식의 이송항은 풍상차분기법을 이용하여 유속과 염분의 이송현상이 잘 표현되도록 하였다. 또한 흐름방향으로는 양해법을, 수심방향으로는 음해법을 사용하여 수심방향 격자증분이 매우 작기 때문에 야기되는 시간증분의 제약에서 벗어나도록 하였다. 모형의 적용성을 검증하기 위해 자유수면변위, 속도 및 염도분포에 관한 계산결과 하구둑 건설이전의 금강하구의 관측치를 비교하였다. 계산결과는 관측자료와 잘 일치한다.

대퇴골 원위부 골간단의 피질골 결손에 대한 방사선학적 분류 및 그에 따른 임상적 경과관찰 (Radiographic Classification and its Clinical Features for Metaphyseal Cortical Defect of the Distal Femur)

  • Over 60 cases were enlisted, but only 31 cases among 24 patients were eligible with a minimum follow-up of 1 year and complete medical documents with imaging data. There were 18 boys and 6 girls, and 7 patients had bilateral lesions. The age of the patients ranged from 2 to 20 years(mean:10.5 years). At their first visit, most lesions had a highly characteristic location and radiographic appearance of radiolucent lesion(s) ranging from 1 to 3cm, except for one case of 5.5 cm in the posteromedial comer of distal femoral metaphysis. The margins were generally well-defined, although some were ill-defined. After reviewing our cases from the viewpoint of clinical course and radiographic patterns, we divided these lesions into two types. Type I is the osteolytic lesion excavated into the posteromedial aspect of the distal femur without cortical defect; and type II is the buldged out lesion of the femur with cortical irregularity into the surrounding soft tissues. Both types have distinctive clinical courses. Type I lesions were easy to make a definite diagnosis with plain radiographs alone, but in type II, it was sometimes very difficult to differentiate it from malignant tumors or chronic localized osteomyelitis. For this lesion, Gd-enhanced MRI was the most effective method for differential diagnosis. In this study, biopsy was not necessary to confirm the diagnosis. Clinical symptoms of type I were very minor or even absent. Many of them were accidentally found after minor trauma around the knee joint. Clinical symptoms disappeared far earlier than radiographical lesions. No treatment such as restriction of activity or drugs was necessary. For type II, the clinical symptoms were more accentuated and lasted longer, and it was necessary to restrict the activity for a certain period in many cases. However, all were self-limited.

Music Visualization Expression in Modern Fashion - Focus on the application of Mondrian's paintings to Alexander McQueen's 2014 Spring Ready-to-wear Collection -

  • This study analyzes music visualization characteristics in modern fashion based on Wassily Kandinsky's music visualization theory. Alexander McQueen's 2014 Spring Ready-to-wear Collection (as inspired by Mondrian's paintings) was selected as the research subject. First, an analysis of Mondrian's paintings based on Wassily Kandinsky's theory shows that music visualization characteristics can be categorized into spatiality, mobility, and duality. Second, McQueen applied Mondrian's paintings to the overall design, structured the model's shape in the painting, or created patterns using colors and lines that introduced them in clothes; symbolic forms were also introduced as part of or a decorative factor of the clothes. Third, spatiality refers to the creation of a feeling of space through emptiness or fill using lines, colors, and shape. Musical atmosphere such as dissonance were expressed in clothing through the application of color contrast, lines and silhouette dynamics, and symbolic format and patterns by Mondrian. Fourth, mobility generally refers to motion caused by a certain stimulus. Mondrian expressed vibration, internal resonance, sound level in music that emphasized color irregularity, primary color contrast, and rough brush touches as well as free and organic patterns. McQueen expressed this with primary color contrast using different materials, rough touch based on texture, and pattern repetition through transformation. Fifth, duality generally refers to the artistic effect caused by overlap. Mondrian created a resemblance of dissonance and music through line and color as expressed through the duality of clothing design components based on the artistic sense of the designer.

내접형 기어펌프용 로터의 소음저감을 위한 치형 최적설계 (Optimal Design of Rotor Profile of Internal Gear Pump for Noise Reduction)

  • 내접형 기어펌프의 경우 내구성과 소형화의 장점을 가지고 있으나, 유량증대 및 소음저감의 성능개선이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 외부로브 형상이 다양한 곡선 조합(타원 1-인볼루트-타원 2)인 경우에 대하여 기구학적 치형 형상 관계식을 유도하고, 창성된 치형에 대해 소음에 관계된 성능인자(압력각, 유량맥동과 미끄럼률)를 예측하여 소음정도를 수치적으로 비교하였다. 또한 이론 해석을 통해 구한 치형형상과 성능인자 예측 알고리즘을 통하여 설계변수와 성능인자간의 영향도를 분석하였고, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 일정한 유량성능을 유지하면서 소음이 저감된 치형의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 해석결과를 바탕으로 제시된 치형의 최적설계에 대한 시제품 제작 및 소음 시험을 통해 설계의 타당성을 검증하였다.

사이클로이드 및 원호 곡선을 이용한 제로터 개발 (Design of Gerotor Using Cycloid and Circular-Arc Curves)

  • 본 논문에서는 하이포 및 에피 사이클로이드 곡선 사이에 원호 곡선을 삽입하여 내부로터를 설계하고 로터 회전시뮬레이션 및 간섭회피를 위한 수정법을 통해 외부로터를 설계하는 방식의 제로터를 개발하였다. 또한 접촉점을 이용한 기존의 유량계산법을 사용할 수 없는 경우에 유량 및 유량맥동을 도출할 수 있는 챔버면적 계산법을 개발하였다. 이와 같은 방식의 제로터는 로터 설계시 첨점 및 루프가 발생하지 않으며, 내부로터의 하이포 사이클로이드 및 원호 곡선 연결점에서 새로운 설계변수인 경사각 $\gamma$가 추가되어 편심량 설정시 첨점 및 루프 발생 방지조건 또는 이끝폭의 설계 한계조건으로부터 제한을 받지 않는다. 따라서 설계자는 편심량 및 각도 $\gamma$를 조절함으로써 실제 산업현장에서 보다 효과적으로 로터 최적설계를 수행할 수 있다.

KTDB 기반 노선배정의 예측오차 원인과 분석결과 해석 (Practical Interpretation and Source of Error in Traffic Assignment Based on Korea Transport Database(KTDB))

  • 이 연구에서는 교통수요예측의 신뢰성에 영향을 미치는 요소와 원인을 검토하였다. 통행의 다양성과 불규칙성, 입력자료 한계, 자료의 집합화, 모형의 단순화가 포괄적 의미에서 교통예측 오차원인이 된다. 또한 불가피하게 존재하는 예측 오차의 이론적 배경을 정확히 규명함으로써 예측결과를 실무적 정책결정에 활용할 시에 합리적 판단을 하는데 도움이 되도록 하였다. 본 연구에서는 특히 노선배정모형의 예측 오차의 요인에 초점을 두고, KTDB 자료기반 분석오차를 6개 항목으로 나누어 설명하였다. 즉, (1) 입력 자료의 오차, (2) 공간 집합화와 네트워크 표현방식에 따른 오차, (3) 교통패턴 변동에 대한 대푯값 설정에 따른 오차, (4) 교통류모형 단순화에 따른 오차, (5) 노선선택 행태 집합화에 따른 오차로 구분하여 설명하였다.

특징점 선택방법과 SVM 학습법을 이용한 당뇨병 데이터에서의 당뇨병성 신장합병증의 예측 (Prediction of Diabetic Nephropathy from Diabetes Dataset Using Feature Selection Methods and SVM Learning)

  • Diabetes mellitus can cause devastating complications, which often result in disability and death, and diabetic nephropathy is a leading cause of death in people with diabetes. In this study, we tried to predict the onset of diabetic nephropathy from an irregular and unbalanced diabetic dataset. We collected clinical data from 292 patients with type 2 diabetes and performed preprocessing to extract 184 features to resolve the irregularity of the dataset. We compared several feature selection methods, such as ReliefF and sensitivity analysis, to remove redundant features and improve the classification performance. We also compared learning methods with support vector machine, such as equal cost learning and cost-sensitive learning to tackle the unbalanced problem in the dataset. The best classifier with the 39 selected features gave 0.969 of the area under the curve by receiver operation characteristics analysis, which represents that our method can predict diabetic nephropathy with high generalization performance from an irregular and unbalanced dataset, and physicians can benefit from it for predicting diabetic nephropathy.

DLP용 유체동압베어링 스핀들모터 (Fluid Dynamic Bearing Spindle Motors for DLP)

  • The small precision spindle motors in the high value-added products including the visible home appliances such as DLP projector require not only the energy conversion devices but also high efficiency, low vibration and sound operation. However, the spindle motors using the conventional ball bearing and sintered porous metal bearing have following problems, respectively: the vibration by the irregularity of balls and the short motor life cycle by the ball's abrasion and higher sound noises by dry contact between shaft and sleeve. In this paper, it is proposed that the spindle motor with a fluid dynamic bearing is suitable for the motor to drive the color wheel of the DLP(digital lightening processor) in the visible home appliances. The proposed spindle motor is composed of the fluid dynamic bearing with both the radial force and the thrust force. The fluid dynamic bearing is solved by the finite element analysis of the mechanical field with the Reynolds equations. The magnetic part of spindle motor, which is a type of Brushless DC Motor, is designed by the electro-magnetic field analysis coupled with the Maxwell equation. And the load capacity and the friction loss of fluid dynamic bearing are analyzed to bearing clearance variation by the fabrication error in designed motor. The design of the proposed motor is implemented by the load torque caused by the eccentricity and the unbalance of the fluid dynamic bearing when the motors are fabricated in error. The prototype of the motor with the fluid dynamic bearing is manufactured, and experiment results show the vibration, sound, and phase current at no load and color wheel load of the motors in comparison. The high performance characteristics with the low vibration, the low acoustic noise and the optimal mechanical structure are verified by the experimental results.

Negative Corona Onset Characteristic of the UHV Conductors Based on the Corona Cage

  • Negative corona onset characteristics of the stranded conductors based on the ultra-high voltage (UHV) corona cage were studied in the paper. Based on the corona self-sustaining criterion in extreme uneven electric fields and the secondary emission process of the photoelectrons, the corona onset calculation model in the UHV corona cage is established and the corona current tests of the single LGJ900-75, 6 bundle LGJ900-75, 8 bundle LGJ400-35 conductors in dry and rain conditions were done in the UHV corona cage, and the rain rates are 2.4 mm/h, 20 mm/h and 30 mm/h. Corona onset electric field strength is gained by E-I tangent method, and the onset electric field strength in dry condition proves that the calculation model can be used to calculate the corona onset characteristics of the bundle conductors in the UHV corona cage. A further analysis proves that: the negative corona onset voltage of the conductor increases with the bundle number and the diameter of the sub conductor, but decreases with the bundle space in the corona cage. The onset electric field strength is influenced little by bundle space and bundle number, but decreases with the increase of the diameter of the sub-conductor. The surface irregularity coefficient decreases with the rain rate.

두경부암 진단의 새로운 내시경 진단방법 협대역 영상(Narrow Band Imaging, NBI)의 유용성-전향적 연구 (Usefulness of Narrow Band Imaging Endoscopy in the Diagnosis of Head and Neck Cancer : A Prospective Study)

  • Background and Objectives : Narrow Band Imaging(NBI) is a novel optical technique that enhances the visualization of superficial microvascular architecture which is commonly increased and founded as an irregular shape in a neoplastic lesion. The aim of this study is the evaluation of the usefulness of NBI in the diagnosis of Head and Neck Cancer. Subjects and Methods : From December 2009 to January 2011, 31 consecutive patients who were diagnosed with head and neck malignancy were enrolled in this prospective study. The malignant findings of NBI were demarcated brownish lesion or increased intraepithelial papillary capillary loops(IPCLs) with or without irregularity. Results : There were 29 cases(93.5%) of well demarcated brownish lesion, 26 cases(83.9%) of increased IPCLs and 4 cases(12.9%) of satellite lesions. Diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic examination was increased from 83.9% to 93.5%, when NBI was applied to the conventional endoscopy(p>0.05). Conclusion : NBI is a powerful and safe screening test, which can be performed in out patient clinic without any supplementary procedure.
