The smaller size and higher integration of advanced electronic package systems result in severe electrochemical reliability issues in microelectronic packaging due to higher electric field under high temperature and humidity conditions. Under these harsh conditions, electronic components respond to applied voltages by electrochemical ionization of metal and the formation of a filament, which leads to short-circuit failure of an electronic component, which is termed electrochemical migration. This work aims to evaluate electrochemical migration susceptibility of the pure Sn, Sn-3.5Ag, Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder alloys in $Na_{2}SO_{4}$. The water drop test was performed to understand the failure mechanism in a pad patterned solder alloy. The polarization test and anodic dissolution test were performed, and ionic species and concentration were analyzed. Ag and Cu additions increased the time to failure of Pb-free solder in 0.001 wt% $Na_{2}SO_{4}$ solution at room temperature and the dendrite was mainly composed of Sn regardless of the solders. In the case of SnAg solders, when Ag and Cu added to the solders, Ag and Cu improved the passivation behavior and pitting corrosion resistance and formed inert intermetallic compounds and thus the dissolution of Ag and Cu was suppressed; only Sn was dissolved. If ionic species is mainly Sn ion, dissolution content than cathodic deposition efficiency will affect the composition of the dendrite. Therefore, Ag and Cu additions improve the electrochemical migration resistance of SnAg and SnAgCu solders.
Similar to the other known structures of Bacillus thuringiensis Cry $\delta$-endotoxins, the crystal structure of the 65-kDa activated Cry4Ba toxin comprises three domains which are, from the N- to C-terminus, a bundle of $\alpha$-helices, a three-$\beta$-sheet domain, and a $\beta$-sandwich. To investigate the properties of the C-terminal domain III in isolation from the rest of the toxin, the cloned Cry4Ba-domain III was over-expressed as a 21-kDa soluble protein in Escherichia coli, which cross-reacted with anti-Cry4Ba domain III monoclonal antibody. A highly-purified domain III was obtained in a monomeric form by ion-exchange and size-exclusion FPLC. Circular dichroism spectroscopy indicated that the isolated domain III fragment distinctly exists as a $\beta$-sheet structure, corresponding to the domain III structure embodied in the Cry4Ba crystal structure. In vitro binding analysis via immuno-histochemical assay revealed that the Cry4Ba-domain III protein was able to bind to the apical microvilli of the susceptible Stegomyia aegypti larval midguts, albeit at lower-binding activity when compared with the full-length active toxin. These results demonstrate for the first time that the C-terminal domain III of the Cry4Ba mosquito-larvicidal protein, which can be isolated as a native folded monomer, conceivably participates in toxin-receptor recognition.

A new off-surface visualization method of using the micro water droplet and laser beam sheet was presented. About a size of 5 to TEX>$10\mu\textrm{m}$ micro water droplet could be made from home-style ultrasonic humidifier, A 3 W Argon ion laser and cylindrical lens were used to generate a laser beam sheet, which interrogate specific cross section of the vortical flow field. Application of this new visualization method was conducted in KAFA small-sized low speed wind tunnel of having the test section of 0TEX>$0.9 m(W){\times}$0.9 m(H){\times}2.1 m(L)$$$. Visualization results show this method relatively easy and safe flow visualization method for wind tunnel testing. Moreover, this method is also make up for the disadvantage of smoke visualization, and can be applied to higher flow velocity range than that of smoke visualization.
In this paper, we fabricated pressure difference type gas flow sensor using only dry etching technology by ICP-RIE(inductive coupled plasma reactive ion etching). The sensor's structure consists of a common shear stress type piezoresistive pressure sensor with an orifice fabricated in the middle of the sensor diaphragm. Generally, structure like diaphragm is fabricated by wet etching technology using TMAH, but we fabricated diaphragm by only dry etching using ICP-RIE. To equalize the thickness of diaphragm we applied insulator($SiO_2$) layer of SOI(Si/$SiO_2$/Si-sub) wafer as delay layer of dry etching. Size of fabricated diaphragm is $1000{\times}1000{\times}7\;{\mu}m^3$ and overall chip $3000{\times}3000{\times}7\;{\mu}m^3$. We measured the variation of output voltage toward the change of gas pressure to analyze characteristics of the fabricated sensor. Sensitivity of fabricated sensor was relatively high as about 1.5mV/V kPa at 1kPa full-scale. Nonlinearity was below 0.5%F.S. Over-pressure range of the fabricated sensor is 100kPa or more.
In this paper presents a new model of dual-mode synchronous buck converter with dynamic control for mobile applications was proposed. The proposed circuit can operate at 2.5MHz with supply voltage 2.5V to 5V for low ripple and minimum inductor and capacitor size, which is suitable for single-cell lithium-ion battery supply mobile applications. For high efficiency, the proposed circuit adopts synchronous type and dynamic control. The proposed circuit is designed by using the device parameter of TSMC 0.18um BCD process and the performance is evaluated by Cadence spectre. Experimental board level results show the maximum conversion efficiency is 96% at 100mA load current.

$Li_{0.44}MnO_2$cathode material has high reversibility during lithium insertion processes and is not easily damaged through over-charging or over-discharging. $Mn_2O_3$is often present as an impurity phase, and reduce the electrochemical capacity of electrode because this phase is electrochemically inert. Adding of excess NaOH reduced the $Mn_2O_3$to the content under undetectable by X-ray diffraction. Because the capacity can be increased in the cathode materials with larger unit cell, some of the manganese was replaced with titanium having larger ion size, and powders with the formula $Li_{0.44}T_{iy}Mn_{1-y}O_2$(where y = 0.11, 0.22, 0.33, 0.44, and 0.55) was synthesized and characterized. A maximum reversible capacity of 150 mAh/g was obtained for $Li/P(EO)_8$LiTFSI/$Li_{0.44}Ti_{0.22}Mn_{0.78}O_2$cells in electrochemical potential spectroscopy (ECPS) experiments. Cells with the titanium-doped manganese oxides exhibited a fade rate of 0.12 % or less per cycle.

The intercalated compounds of alkylsulfonates into hydrated zinc were synthesized. From the high temperature powder X-ray diffraction (HTXRD), FT-IR, and molecular size, the temperature dependence of orientation for the intercalated alkylsulfonates were determined. In the temperatures range 1, alkylsulfonates were intercalated into hexa aqua zinc layer with the bilayer structure of $32.9^{\circ}$angle for ${Zn(H_2O_4]^{2+}[C_nH_{2n+1}SO_3]_2\;^-$. In the temperatures range 2, alkylsulfonates were intercalated into tetra aqua zinc layer with the bilayer structure of $55.2^{\circ}$angle for ${Zn(C_nH_{2n+1}SO_3)_2$. In the temperatures range 3, alkylsulfonates were directly bonded to zinc ion with the bilayer structure of $76.5^{\circ}$angle for ${Zn(C_nH_{2n+1}SO_3)_2$.

Boehmite (AlOOH) powder was synthesized using waste aluminium etching solution. In waste solution, precipitated phase was gibbsite ($Al(OH)_3$), and boehmite (AlOOH) phase was obtained at pH of 7 and 8 controlled by addition of acid. Boehmite powder was obtained by washing process to remove the Na ion in precipitated solution. Mean particle size of obtained powder was 40 nm. Boehmite phase transformed to ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ phase via ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$, ${\delta}-Al_2O_3$, and ${\Theta}-Al_2O_3$.
Purpose : Measurement of transmission dose is useful for in vivo dosimetry of QA purpose. The objective of this study is to develope an algorithm for estimation of tumor dose using measured transmission dose for open radiation field. Materials and Methods : Transmission dose was measured with various field size (FS), phantom thickness (Tp), and phantom chamber distance (PCD) with a acrylic phantom for 6 MV and 10 MV X-ray Source to chamber distance (SCD) was set to 150 cm. Measurement was conducted with a 0.6 cc Farmer type ion chamber. Using measured data and regression analysis, an algorithm was developed for estimation of expected reading of transmission dose. Accuracy of the algorithm was tested with flat solid phantom with various settings. Results : The algorithm consisted of quadratic function of log(A/P) (where A/P is area-perimeter ratio) and tertiary function of PCD. The algorithm could estimate dose with very high accuracy for open square field, with errors within ${\pm}0.5%$. For elongated radiation field, the errors were limited to ${\pm}1.0%$. Conclusion : The developed algorithm can accurately estimate the transmission dose in open radiation fields with various treatment settings.
The effects of the monomer ratios on the typical properties of polymer modified mortars that contain styrene and butyl acrylate latexes was investigated. Basic data was also obtained that is necessary for the development of appropriate latexes for cement modifiers. Polymer modified mortars that contain styrene and butyl acrylate latexes polymerized with various monomer ratios were prepared for different polymer-cement ratios. They were then tested to obtain the particle size of the polymer latexes, air contents, water-cement ratios, flexural and compressive strengths, water absorption, and chloride-ion penetration. From the test results, the polymer modified mortars that have styrene and butyl acrylate latexes (with the mix proportions of synthesis having monomer ratios of between 40:60 to 60:40 for the appropriate mix proportions) could be recommended for practical applications. The basic properties of the polymer modified mortars were more affected by the polymer-cement ratio than by the monomer ratio, and were improved over unmodified mortar.
