  • 도로교통의 안전 확보와 사고 예방을 목적으로 운전자나 보행자에게 필요한 정보를 제공하기 위해 경찰청에서 규격 또는 지침으로 제정하여 노변에 설치되는 교통안전시설 장치는 교통신호정보를 받기 위한 통신선과 함께 장치 구동을 위한 전원선을 개별로 시공해야 하기에 시공 비용의 절감과 함께 다종·다형의 장치에 대하여 통합적인 관제, 확장성, 유연성에 대응할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이더넷 통신을 기반으로 전원 공급이 하나의 케이블로 가능한 이더넷 전원장치(PoE) 기술과 IoT 프로토콜인 MQTT를 이용하여 다종·다형의 교통안전시설 장치를 통합관제하고, 확장성과 유연성을 가지는 교통안전시설 장치 통합 시스템을 제안한다.

A Routing Scheme Considering Bottleneck and Route Link Quality in RPL-based IoT Wireless Networks (RPL 기반 IoT 무선 네트워크에서 노드 병목 및 전송 경로 품질을 고려한 라우팅 기법)

  • In order to manage a large number of devices connected to the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) proposed the IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL). The route of the RPL network is generated through the use of an Objective Function (OF) that is suitable for the service that is required for the IoT network. Since the route of the RPL network is conventionally simply chosen only by considering the link quality between the nodes, it is sensible to seek an OF that can also provide better Quality of Service (QoS). In previous studies, the end-to-end delay might possibly be sub-optimal because they only deal with problems related to the reduction of energy consumption and not to the link quality on the path to the sink node. In this study, we propose a scheme that reduces the end-to-end delay but also gives full consideration to both the quality on the entire route to the destination and to the expected lifetime of nodes with bottlenecks from heaped traffic. Weighting factors for the proposed scheme are chosen by experiments and the proposed scheme can reduce the end-to-end delay and the energy consumption of previous studies by 20.8% and 10.5%, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose and implement an IoT based mobile smart monitoring system in the view point of safety inspection for solar power generation. The main features and contributions of proposed system are as follows. First, the proposed system model can evaluate periodically in the view point of safety inspection the conditions of the system and structure of solar power generation. Second, the proposed system automatically re-processes the measurement data of the system and structure for solar power generation and save it into database. Third, using the re-processed and saved information, the proposed system can provide the monitoring information with webpage form to both administrator and owner of solar power generation system, thus they can measure and confirm directly in the view point of safety inspection the conditions of the solar generation structure without visiting those places. Fourth, the provided web pages for the monitoring of solar power generation can be accessed regardless of the system structures. The performance evaluations of the proposed system show that the proposed monitoring system can save efficiently the data received from the sensors installed in the structure of solar power generation into the data base in the collecting server. And the proposed system can support that both administrator and user of solar power generation system access webpage in real time without considering places by using mobile phone and desktop computer and obtain the information for the conditions of the system and structure of solar power generation with graph forms.

Development of Composite Sensing Technology Using Internet of Things (IoT) for LID Facility Management (LID 시설 관리를 위한 사물인터넷(IoT) 활용 복합 센싱 적용기술 개발)

  • Various LIDs with natural water circulation function are applied to reduce urban environmental problems and environmental impact of development projects. However, excessive Infiltration and evaporation of LID facilities dry the LID internal soil, thus reducing plant and microbial activity and reducing environmental re duction ability. The purpose of this study was to develop a real-time measurement system with complex sensors to derive the management plan of LID facilities. The test of measurable sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) application was conducted in artificial wetlands shaped in acrylic boxes. The applied sensors were intended to be built at a low cost considering the distributed LID and were based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi, which are relatively inexpensive and commercialized. In addition, the goal was to develop complex sensor measurements to analyze the current state o f LID facilities and the effects of maintenance and abnormal weather conditions. Sensors are required to measure wind direction, wind speed, rainfall, carbon dioxide, Micro-dust, temperature and humidity, acidity, and location information in real time. Data collection devices, storage server programs, and operation programs for PC and mobile devices were developed to collect, transmit and check the results of measured data from applied sensors. The measurements obtained through each sensor are passed through the Wifi module to the management server and stored on the database server in real time. Analysis of the four-month measurement result values conducted in this study confirmed the stability and applicability of ICT technology application to LID facilities. Real-time measured values are found to be able to utilize big data to evaluate the functions of LID facilities and derive maintenance measures.

Adaptive Power Saving Mechanism of Low Power Wake-up Receivers against Battery Draining Attack (배터리 소모 공격에 대응하는 저전력 웨이크업 리시버의 적응형 파워 세이빙 메커니즘)

  • Recently, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely used in industries and daily life that directly affect human safety, life, and assets. However, IoT devices, which need to meet low-cost, lightweight, and low-power requirements, face a significant problem of shortened battery lifetime due to battery draining attacks and interference. To solve this problem, the 802.11ba standard for the Wake-up Receiver (WuR) has emerged, this feature is playing a crucial role in minimizing energy consumption. However, the WuR protocol did not consider security mechanisms in order to reduce latency and overhead. Therefore, in this study, anAdaptive Power Saving Mechanism (APSM) is proposed for low-power WuR to counter battery draining attacks. APSM can minimize abnormally occurring power consumption by exponentially increasing power-saving time in environments prone to attacks. According to experimental results, the proposed APSM improved energy consumption efficiency by a minimum of 13.77% compared to the traditional Legacy Power Saving Mechanism (LPSM) when attack traffic ratio is 10% or more of the total traffic.

  • Smart mirror is an IoT device that attaches a display and an embedded computer to the mirror and provides various information to the useer along with the mirror function. This paper went beyond the form of dealing with smart mirrors only stand alone device the provide information to users, and constructed a network in which smart mirrors are connected, and proposed and implemented a CoMirror system that allows users to talk and share information with other smart mirror users. The CoMirror system has a structure in which several CoMirror clients are connected on one CoMirror server. The CoMirror client consists of Raspberry Pi, a mirror film, a touch pad, a display device, an web camera, etc. The server has functions such as face learning and recognition, user management, a relay role for exchanging messages between clients, and setting up for video call. Users can communicate with other CoMirror users via the server, such as text, image, and audio messages, as well as 1:1 video call.

  • 정보통신기술의 발달은 개인용 컴퓨터나 노트북 컴퓨터와 같은 컴퓨터를 중심으로 이루어진 네트워킹 및 인터넷 환경을 컴퓨터를 포함한 스마트폰, PDA, 휴대용 멀티미디어 기기와 같이 이동이 가능한 소형의 기기를 중심으로 변화시키고 있다. 그러나, 연산, 통신 및 네트워킹 기능이 가능한 소형 장치들은 정보화 기기뿐만 아니라 계량기, 온도계와 같은 일반적인 사물에도 부착될 수가 있다. 사물에 부착된 이러한 소형 장치들은 사물의 정보를 자동으로 획득하게 해주거나 사물간의 통신 네트워크를 통해 정보의 상호 공유가 가능해진다. 이와 같이 사물에 부착된 통신 장치를 이용하여 사물이 네트워크에 연결되거나 사물간에 통신 네트워크를 구성하여 정보를 공유하는 개념 및 기술을 지칭하는 용어로 IoT, M2M 및 사물지능통신 등이 있다. 이러한 네트워크 환경에서는 사람 대 사람, 사람 대 사물뿐만 아니라 사물 대 사물간의 통신 네트워크가 가능해져 모든 객체간의 정보 공유가 가능해지며 이는 미래 유비쿼터스 정보 서비스 사회로 진화하기 위한 필수적인 기술 요소라 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Intelligent transportation systems are currently being developed for elemental technology development of cooperative intelligent transport systems, which enable vehicles to communicate with each other or reduce the risk of traffic accidents, We have been defining and standardizing services according to the purpose of solving traffic safety problems depending on countries. Therefore, in this study, the developed countries of V2X(vehicle-to-everything) based on USA, Europe, Japan, etc., analyzed the service cases selected in the field demonstration stage after completion of the element technology devanalyzed the service cases selected in the field demonstration stage after completion of the element technology development, and to suggest the direction of futureelopment, and to suggest the direction of future policy direction.

  • In the future a future type new city and the latest apartment will be built, and the IoT technology will be constructed and combined in large numbers indoors of ordinary households. An air cleaner that makes people in it comfortable is built in, and the suction port that sucks in the air of the air purifier and the discharge port that discharges it are set up around the room and come out. However, this is impossible to adjust because there is only a central switch on / off. Also, consuming a lot of electricity so that many electricity charges are caused by huge electricity consumption will eventually be a waste of resources. This would like to be adjusted and driven through the fine dust detection device to the room built-in air purifier and that has provided a solution to save electricity. In addition, since it exists in and around the room, you can grasp the position of the person and connect to the home network to enhance the convenience. Also, through analysis of the air, we provide a health-check solution that checks the user's health and adjusts it appropriately.

  • IoT (Internet of Things) technologies have largely contributed to our smart living environment. The smart parking system is one of the prominent services that IoT supports. To identify the parked vehicles, the previous parking system use special identifying devices, the RFID tags carried by the users, and the high quality camera to recognize the vehicle license numbers. However, the previous methods cause cost inefficiency and unfriendly usages. To address these problems, we propose a smart parking system based on ultrasonic sensors and Bluetooth communication. The proposed system decides the available slots by using the sensor motes located in the parking spaces. Also it recognizes the location of the parked vehicle using Bluetooth RSSI between a Smartphone and the sensor motes. In addition, based on these converging technologies, it can support the parked routes of vehicles for users. To evaluate the implemented smart parking system, we applied the RSSI transform equations and the recognition rate for parked vehicles. As a result, the accurate rate of transformed distances could be measured.
