A Study on the Electrical Fan Heater using High Efficiency Induction Heating (고효율 유도가열형 전기온풍기에 관한 연구)

  • A proposed the electrical fan heater using induction heating is innovative system which applied IH(Induction Heating) magnetic induction heating generated from induction-heated metallic package and high-frequency power circuit technique for thermal converse technique. In this occurs not burning, so that the working environment and deterioration of products can be improved. The existing heater that low efficiency by heated resistance or using fossil fuel of coal, diesel, kerosene has problems about burden for high cost price. In this paper are compared efficiency the existing heaters and designed electrical fan heaters using 3[kW]-Class full-bridge resonant inverter. In addition, action analysis and application of system are discussed.

Optimized PWM Switching Strategy for an Induction Motor Voltage Control

  • An optimized PWM switching strategy for an induction motor voltage control is developed and demonstrated. Space vector modulation in voltage source inverter offers improved DC-bus utilization and reduced commutation losses, and has been therefor recognizedas the perfered PWM method, especially in the case of digital implementation. Three-phase invertor voltage control by space vector modulation consists of switching between the two active and one zero voltage vector by using the proposed optimal PWM algorithm. The prefered switching sequence is defined as a function of the modulation index and period of a carrier wave. The sequence is selected by suing the inverter switching losses and the current ripple as the criteria. For low and medium power application, the experimental results indicate that good dynamic response and reduced harmonic distortion can be achieved by increasing switching frequency.

  • For the application of soft-switching technique to single Phase-full bridge inverter. in this paper ZCT(Zero Current Transition) and ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) techniques proposed previously are compared and discussed the merit and demerit of both. Both have a excellency that can reduce the number of auxiliary switch and resonant circuit compared to other techniques and achive soft-switching in auxiliary switch itself. Therefore, it has enabled us to have benifits of realizing high efficiency and reliability, low EMI for high switching frequency and reducing the cost as well as size of device.

  • Recently, Many water treatment facilities are operated by automatic control or by remote control. These high technology control systems require more stable power supply than before. Badly most automatic control systems adopted in water treatment facilities are non-linear load which generates electrical harmonics inevitably. This study is intended to measure and analyze the electrical harmonics occurred at the chemicals control device which is inverter application circuit, and to show the Method for reduction.

  • There are operated the six thousand train in the interior of a country, $95\%$ of them are possible usage of resuscitation, Especially, Among them VVVF-Inverter vehicle has a merit of the highest recycle rate, but we don't use a apt recycled energy. Although the existing recycle energy used inverter method supply with electric power, it is decided in accordance with the state of sources. So efficiency of recycled electric power is of poor quality and catenary-voltage-fluctuation be generate because of recycled electric power. and it is able to affect system of safety train service. We'll research the method of supply according to wire condition after storing recycle energy made during train's stopping relation to Advanced EMU Research. Those methods are divided SMES, Fly-Wheel and Supercapacitor. and Considering the both economical efficiency and system application, we'll develop recycle energy storage system suitable our country condition.

  • Recently, interest in multivalued(MV) logic system has been increased, despites the apparent difficulties for practical application. This is because of the many advantages of the MV compared with the 2-valued logic systems, such as; (a) higher speed of arithmetical operation on account of the smaller number of digits required for a given data, (b) better utilization of data transmission channels on account of the higher information contents per line, (c) potentially higher density of information storage. This paper describes a MV switching theory and experimental MV logic elements based on current-mode logic technique. These elements tried were a 3-stable pulse generator, a ternary AND, a ternary OR, a MT circuit and a ternary inverter. Tristable flops which are indispensable for constituting a ternary shift register are synthesized using these gates. A BCD to TCD decoder, and vice versa, are proposed by using a ternary inverter and some binary gates. Thus, the feasibility of a large scale MV digital system has been demonstrate.

  • This paper presents a current-source-inverter based on a buck-boost configuration and its application for residential photovoltaic system. The proposed circuit has five switches. Among them, only one switch acts as chopping, and the other determine the polarity of output; therefore, it can reduce the switching loss. Because the input inductor current is operated on the discontinuous conduction mode, high power factor can be achieved without additional input current controller. So the overall system shows a simple structure. The operational modes are analysed in depth, and then it was verified through the experimental results using a 150 W prototype.

  • This paper is proposed a novel method to approximate the maximum power for a photovoltaic inverter system and tracking method. It is designed for power systems application and utilities. The proposed Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control has the advantage to provide a new simple way to approximate the optimal or rated voltage, the optimal or rated current and maximum power rating produced by a solar panel and the photovoltaic inverter. And this straightforward method will be named linear reoriented coordinates method (LRCM) with the advantage that Pmax and $V_{op}$ can be approximated using the same variable as the dynamic model without using complicate approximations or Taylor series. Furthermore tracking method is improved over 50% photovoltaic efficiency. This paper is proposed MPPT using LRMC and tracking method using weather condition of domestic moderate program technique. This paper is proposed the experimental results to verify the effectiveness of the new methods.

  • The rapid expansion of small computers over the last 10-odd years has brought about great changes in the circumstances affecting UPSs. There are strong demands that UPSs become much smaller and lighter, and more economical, which has resulted in the wide application of the circuit topology without transformer. A disadvantage of such UPS topology is that the DC link voltage is very high, which invites decreased reliability and increased cost of battery bank. Some circuit configurations were proposed to eliminate this disadvantage, but they still had problems. In this paper, a novel circuit configuration which eliminates these problems is proposed and evaluated by the experimental results of prototype UPS.
